Grumpy, the part about the "cat with 9 lives" made us chuckle and we are just so glad to hear your situation improved. Also, shout out to Gucci Girl for being the most amazing advocate and caregiver. I just wanted to hug both of y'all when we watched that video. The BMX biking adventures sound like a blast and we can totally see you crushing those races, Grumpy! You are both such bright lights in so many people's lives and certainly left a lasting impression on us during our thru-hike. You helped us remember that people are inherently good. This is my long overdue comment on your long overdue update. This update came out the day our daughter was born, so that's why I forgot to come back and finish it! I'm glad that you've had some good news in such a roller coaster year. I hope it keeps staying steady and you have tons of time together still! Always thinking and praying for y'all even if I do forget to comment for 4 months 🤣
Okay, NOW that you have the comments finally on, let me say I am very excited and happy that the cancer has not advanced. What a blessing to have Diane who will fight for her people. I can't wait for your update in the spring when you win that BMX race.
I have a bike that I can put a rack on and I swear I am going to strap that bad boy on it when my breathing gets worse!! Damn thing is HUGE haha. Thanks for your support always
You're a tuff Navy S.O.B. with a great attitude. Why are we here, maybe to help and inspire others. I'm a survivor of polio and the 68 Tet Offensive..not to mention 55yrs of marriage, we go to the VA facility in Aspinwall and Volunteer. To talk and listen to the Vets is a great thing. You and GiGi are naturals. Have a great Thanksgiving and Holidays. Live long and prosper..

God is good! Great news and so glad to hear from you. Just got back from Big Meadows last week. You may remember that Ellen and I met you there several years ago. Ellen and I had just retired from a surgical career in Virginia and were glad to meet the celebrity couple on the trail. We can surely understand many of the things that you both have faced. You have both faced it with courage and faith. You are both an encouragement and inspiration to many. We have often remembered you in our prayers and will continue to do so. By faith we will meet again we are sure. Galations 2:20 has always been my favorite verse of Scripture! May it give you hope and strength this vey day... God bless you both!
