Am i the ah for refusing to take in my sisters kids after she passed?

    Wow. This is difficult. I wouldn’t say she is an AH for refusing. I actually think it’s mature to be able to say “no.” Especially when she mentioned her why and how she fears not being able to give them attention or possibly resenting them.

    I’m a Grandma (70) I would take them if I were the Grandparents, especially if there were offers to help financially and emotionally by spending time with the children.
    I don’t think this child should have to give up their life plans to raise children when she didn’t want children.
    It’s a hard situation and maybe there should be shared responsibility?

    Time to set your own preferences aside. Think of the emotions these kids are going through. They lost their mother and then the family members don't want them? It's sad to say, but how selfish can a person be when they can't think beyond themselves? There's a time when people need to grow into maturity, and do what is right.

      i agree. she has a right to feel how she feels but the poor kids just lost their mother, they need someone more than ever right now. sometimes we just have to do things we don’t want to do.

    That’s bogus ,you our a mom and your sister didn’t wanna die it might be hard to fulfill her wishes but u should at least try
