Thank you, Huw! "Cool Air" is definitely one of my all time favorite horror stories. No evil, no antagonist, just pure dread.
Lovecraft couldn't stop himself though, from inserting eldritch grimoires into the story! As always, many thanks for coming along to listen and letting me know what you think,
My favorite Lovecraft story! I just can't get into the Cthulu stuff, but this one is super creepy!
This is one of those that simply deals with the challenges our humanity throws upon us rather than relying on the insane and unfathomable to confound the senses.
Can't wait👍👍👍👍👍
I think you'll really enjoy this one.
Fantastic! I always look forward to and enjoy your readings of H.P. Lovecraft, who I absolutely adore.📚🐙
I will be ending off the year with an old Lovecraft favourite of mine and indeed, a re-issue of one that first appeared on this channel and I was never happy with.
@@TheBlackDogChronicles 💕Having you read HP's work is a gift! I can't wait!
I have always loved your videos! And the fact that the doctor appreciated the cold like me made me feel as though I could relate to the character more! A chilling story with many twists and turns that makes you sit at the edge of your seat! I highly recommend this story to everyone! Forget the feel good Hallmark Christmas movies and go for something more sinister that will leave a chill in your bones!
Truly, some of our horror stories are more realistic than those sugar-coated stories!
Looking forward to this 💜
As I am looking forward to your thoughts on it. :)
Loved this 💜 I was drawn in and hypnotically entertained throughout.
I am glad. I felt the alluring patter of the words myself as I read them; beating like a ceremonial drum in the distance, from a lonely haunted height.
A wonderful rendering of good ole Hewlett Packard Lovecraft! Thank you sir!
I am very glad that you enjoyed this one, thank you.
I love all the work and effort you put into your videos.
That is so kind of you! Thank you so much. When people relate that they enjoy it, it makes the work very worthwhile. :)
That was wonderful!
I am very glad that you think so, thank you.
Incredible as always!
Thank you very much, my kind friend. It's great that you could watch it. I am very thankful for all of your support.
If this is your own narration, then you are one of the best, if not THE best on RUclips. I am a retired professor and I listen to stories like these around the clock while working at home. I hear a LOT of these, and I encourage you to continue your calling
Since I think that you have excellent talent, I trust you will accept any positive criticism I may offer in the future to improve your already excellent work.
I am very grateful for anyone who is so kind as to offer useful criticism. Some people have suggested things that have helped me to improve. I wish to be on an ongoing journey of hope that I might grow. That being said, I am humbled by the assessment you have given here. I face multiple challenges in creating this work, one of the more annoying ones being my stammer. However, if I can bring enjoyment to people like yourself, then I feel I am doing something of worth. Thank you. :)
Lovely stuff 👍
Thank you very much, kind sir.
Getting a bit of a Jeckyll and Hyde vibe from this story, mostly in the sense of increasingly desperate means through the erstwhile sciences to maintain the failing humanity. By Lovecraft's standards, I think this is a particularly tragic and grounded tale; no eldritch horror lurking from the darkest corners of reality this time, but a man dying (more so than previously) in a particularly grotesque and grotesquely slow fashion. That's not to say the horror is lessened; if there was ever an adaptation of this tale I think I'd be disinclined to eat for a while afterwards.
The audio and visuals are fittingly subtle for this one, methinks, what with most of the horror happening 'off-screen', so to speak. The imagination is left to fill in the grisly blanks, as befits a good horror story.
Looking forward to the next one, as ever. It's been another good year for stories. (PS. Smudge appreciated the dedication, or so I'm told. He's an aloof fellow and it's always hard to be sure what he's thinking.)
My deep regards to Smudge. I wonder if anything could turn him off *his* meals!
@@TheBlackDogChronicles I sincerely doubt it.
I love this and thought it was very well choreographed, great pictures!
Thank you so much for letting me know what you thought of this tale. There is an even better one with amazing artwork coming out, tomorrow!
Nice vid and it whas a spooky one
It's great that you could come along to watch in the Premier. Thank you. :)
It's great to have you here! Another Lovecraft story will be coming out in two stories time. :)
Yes, it is horrible ... *Lovecraftian* monster ...great artwork matching it perfectly as usual I don't know what happened to *Mrs. Herrera* ... kidding
Thank you, my friend. I particularly liked the New York skyline scenes. But the cold tones contrasted against the gold and hot reds were particularly appealing to me.
@@TheBlackDogChronicles Agree
Maybe based on ideas of *cryonics* though this story was written in 1926 & Published in *Tales of Magic & Mystery* in 1928 & Cryonics was out & about in 1966 from research I could locate
He was a clever little brain-box, old H.P!
@@TheBlackDogChronicles Indeed & his stories still being around in 2022 proves it. He would luv seeing his work on social media I bet; however, his work is copyright free b/c his copyrights were allowed to lapse as I understand it he might not like that ... I don't know
I found the cat! It's at 9:20! If I get the dedication would you please dedicate it to my lovely girlfriend Emma May? I'd like to surprise her with it.
Fantastic job Trevor! Your keen eyes were not deceived by the distractions and you saw through the mist to find our beloved Moon's Cat! I am happy to dedicate the next video to Emma May. :)
Done! It's coming out later today. I hope you can show it to her and surprise her! :) ruclips.net/video/vmWPiUqtzmg/видео.html
@@TheBlackDogChronicles thank you so much! I'm excited for it
Oof, that 'Spanish' accent was pushing it a bit, Huw...
Haha. Thank you for the criticism. Yes, I would have liked to have spent a long time perfecting it. My apologies if it is a nauseating caricature.
@@TheBlackDogChronicles Hey, no offence taken dawg. It just took me out of it, lol 😅
@@Carlos_DK In Huw's defence, that's how it's written. The terrible quasi phonetic spelling of the Spanish accent in the source text is guaranteed to test any narrator.
@@EnCryptedHorror That's true, and just to reiterate: not really offended. If I was the touchy type, I wouldn't be a Lovecraft fan lol
