FORECAST: Higher snow totals predicted for Charlotte area

A storm system is moving through the Carolinas tonight with wintry precipitation. The low pressure is bringing moisture into the region from the south, which is slowly changing over into accumulating snow.
NOTE: Any snow that falls will stick on contact, since temperatures are well-below freezing. Areas southeast of Charlotte such as Lancaster, Chesterfield, and Rockingham will all have best snowfall totals as well some ice accumulation.
