Well, when I go to the google play store it states that if i'm looking for the Nvidia Shield app, it isn't available for my device because it was made for an older version of Android. I have a galaxy s23. Thoughts??
Mine does the same freezing, remote or Bluetooth soundbar unpaired after long sleep and CEC control for turning on off tv is random. I think the issue is with having apps on a USB drive. If it wasn't for the Plex server I would stop using this
The main Tegra chip could be overheating, causing it to run at a slower speed to protect itself. I have both a 2017 and 2019 Shield and every couple of years I've removed the two very small Phillips screws at the back to gain access to the insides, blown out the fan with a can of compressed air. Then removed and cleaned the heat-sink and chip with isopropyl alcohol, reapply new thermal paste and put it back together. It's then good to go for another few years.

a great feature is the ability to double tap the home button to bring up the quick menu that lets you switch and close out apps
I still got the nvidia shield pro and nvidia shield tube......both still kicking ass

The shield was released in 2015, not 2014. I know this because I got it day 1
