Chimezie Onoade You’re the real MVP (bless king )
TheSmiley1shooter jhova187 this asshole copied and pasted my work which took me 2hrs to type out. If you scroll down you’ll see the original
Shout out to the HipHop heads who listened to this whole jawn. This is a Good look for HipHop
This is when each producer had their own sound. No copy cats. Real creativity.
Nes on the Beat yes bro💯💯💯
Truth!
I agree
Thass what I'm saying.... Just Blaze is crazy .. but Swiss got his own sound u can't copy his mf patterns and not pay homage...
Isn't it all relative 'cause it's all samples?
Swizz is the better showman, Blaze is killing the technical aspect with the sample intros....Great show -- the winner is US #Culture
Deadass!!!
most Swizz beats are done without samples
Luis Ramos right, but he wishes he could sample more it was just a headache to get them cleared. his words from drink Champs interview
DiffPerspective the winners is US!!!! #ForTheCulture
WELL PUT. BRAVO DIFFPERSPECTIVE
Who else here in Quarantine after that Swizz vs Timberland IG Live????
Haha meeee
🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽
IzmSkizm1 Nobody don’t want no smoke with a Pharrell though🤣🤣🤣
Lonewolf Fisherman lol ye they been quiet with him. He dangerous

D-Block
This literally took me back to 15 years old on limewire, discovering all of this glory.
Personally, Just Blaze is my favorite so I'm biased. His catalogue and the way he worked with samples were mind blowing. And the versatility, as far as r&b and hip-hop were astonishing. Also, He's a musician so that was a factor.
Swizz however had one advantage: the way he played with sounds and just created something original. ''Money cash hoes' was like 😳 innovation.
Love the culture. Great to see this.
laina k. damn, u said limewire..lol remember bearshare? back in 97 when I was 15 it was napster.
I remember using Scour years before Napster blew up. Before that it was IRC chats. The shitty part was the dial-up 56K modem. lol
These two producers made so many of the hottest beats we love and remember in the 90's and 2000's.
skillzbaby and Pharrell and Timbaland
+Hendrix Lynch and Kanye and Premier and Dr. Dre.
When Jus dropped that What We Do sample, my soul began to cry tears of joy.
A year later and it caught me all over again
Man U ain’t lying when I heard that I lost it literally lol
.....still god damn cryin
All Of Philly was lit back then!! Smoking Ls back to back when that CD came out
that was incredible..
It's funny to see how Swizz camp gets lit on his beats and when Blaze comes with his bangers, they act like they at a funeral. QUIT FRONTIN!!! You know Blaze GOT HEAT.
Slimdog27 bruh that shit got under my skin
And Blaze STEADY vibin to Swizz tracks. When you show love, you show respect.
Slimdog27 reaching
That whiteboy forcefully bobbing his head at swizz breathing but staying stiff when blaze played lol
Stephen Brown the video doesn't lie...
after 2 future albums in 2 weeks I needed this
D Banks this is hiphop's fresh air
D Banks Damn lmao
D Banks lmaaooo
Facts
Chris Dodges I was implying that I needed to cleanse my musical palette
Feb 24/25 2017 Hip Hop got a shot in the arm........ It took some Gods to come off mount Olympus to give it to Hip Hop. Thank you Swizz & Just.... Thank you......
I swear the first time I saw this Swizz won convincingly. Now rewatching this, idk what the hell I was thinking especially with the samples before he played his work. Just Blaze was on another level. Unreal!
That's crazy I was just thinking the same thing. I was watching the just blaze interview and went to this Now that I reflect he definitely won it just swizz got more personality so It made it feel like he did better but just got this
That energy can give you a W.. thats the funny thing about a soundclash, not about having better songs
Swizzy!!
Watching it for the second time because this was my theory as well the samples before the songs hit different
I think Swiss won Blaze just had better execution and more passion for the music he produced them samples before the songs proved that.
Swiss beats make you remember where you were at, at the time. blaze make you remember what you were going thru at the time.
Factz
This comment needs to be higher

Realest comment ever💯🔥💯🔥
Three years old and it never gets old! This battle set the bar too f-ing high!! Super grateful to witness these two great Masters!
This should of been released in a theater. Real talk, real hip hop heads would of went to watch this & sat threw the whole thing feeling nostalgic. I say that to emphasize how fucking great this is. Big up that they enable real fans to catch this for free.
Michael S. truth!!!
Yup Beats the documentary
Michael S. Double Facts! I would definitely paid to see this in the Movie theater
Michael S. naw, a Netflix special.
Michael S. real talk for real. I dig your point bro
EBro got a W for holdin that phone for a straight 2 hours plus
Carlito Brigante ha ha ha ha
Carlito Brigante the only time he has ever done anything useful
LMAO!!! I was watching the whole time like damn he still holding that phone.
my boy cassidy looking skinny .
How's that possible when Ebro is in the video being videos by whoever is holding this phone .. unless he took over but he wasn't filming this the whole thing I donno if at all even lol
The culture needed this; it came at the right time and on the right week
Mir Redd the week??
Swizzy is more of an in house producer. Blaze is great with presentation, build up and showing you how he sampled. He’s more of a D.J. and mixer on top of producing. Swizzy is a legend but he can’t keep up with DJing. Swizzy let the lyrics and song hype him whereas Blazes’ technicality and skill did the talking.
def a battle of style...like a dj boxing match, lol
Bro Blaze WAS the in house Rocafella producer
Swizz kinda cringy trying to do what blaze does but only comes off thrash, I mean how can he f up dmx part up like he did. Wow.
@@jansund1650 I feel like he shouldn't have procrastinate that much with the intro and he could have used so much with that outro lol but it's still cool haha
Facts...cheer leaders and bully boy tactics...for the most part.
🔥🔥wish I caught it live but this is what happens when you get old you fall asleep early on Friday nights😂😂😂

This shit here was monumental. I want to personally thank Swizz Beats and Just Blaze. I always loved the music but I gained a new respect! One Love.
I can't even articulate what this means to me! Not only is this my era, this is my life! I know so many of these dudes, especially Swizz and Blaze I ain't saying we friends just mad respect! I produced numerous music videos back in the day. I figured out early, as a college student I appreciated my education but hip hop was my key to so much more... without permission or explanation! I haven't had to ask for a job since I was 16 because I was an ambassador and steward of hip hop culture, from the streets to the board room. I was liberated by hip hop. my life, experience and, potential was validated by hip hop and I'm forever thankful! This was fire and love for real! ✌😎
Til infinity Hip-HOP matters
Wooow... One of the best things to happen for the culture in a while! Respect to them both, this was *LEGENDARY!!!*

Switz entertaining.. Blaze is a genius

My Honest Review:
blaze was slick with the pre samples hitting swizzy's weak spot because most (but not all) of his beats have no samples. I'm all about swizz that's my guy (who I was rooting for) however, I have to side with blaze because I feel he was more prepared. Blaze's set has more dynamic and swizz all he was doing is pressing play on his bangers and that's why the crowd was hype. Swizzy did do a sample play, like blaze was doing, for Drake's Fancy and I was like 💀💀💀💀🔥🔥🔥🔥!!! For those people who say Swizzy couldn't compete because his beats don't have samples, do your homework and step your Hip Hop game up!!! Swizzy samples like any other producer. When he came out the gate he didn't because he felt it was a hassle to clear samples and he wanted to bring a new sound. As he developed, swizzy switched up and started sampling some songs. So there is no excuse why he slacked and didn't even the playing field and blended samples like blaze did. If you asked me historically who has produced more of MY favorite songs, swizzy all the way!!!! This review is about the battle not about bias. Again 2 of the top 10 greatest Hip Hop producers in my opinion showed off for the love of Hip Hop. I would've caught the ill goosebumps if I was in the same room as them. I added a track list of this battle in the order I hear it! So you can later Spotify or Apple Music or google or watevs support the culture...

Diego Navedo You Won TBH
have to give you props for typing all that
The only track I wish had been played was Battle Cry by Joell Ortiz, produced by Just Blaze.
i like how Just Blaze came ready with the sample to play first then blend it in with the track he made. For that reason alone he won!
The Reckless Recluse mannnnmn 💯
W
The Reckless Recluse thank you! i appreciated Blaze for that. i love finding samples and he gave me everything i needed he won for that and because his music is just better overall ijs
Swizz got undeniable bangers but Just Blaze got more variety and range. you recognize Swizz sound immediately but Blaze just played some shit I ain't even know he made. he got his signature sound but also can step outside of that!
The Reckless Recluse but Swizz didn't sample tho
I come back to this every few months.
I wish Busta was there at the beginning of this. The energy definitely turned up a notch. Can you imagine if Jada Kiss, DMX, or Hov was present?
DeMarco Davidson busta was touching these dudes mad funny lolll he weird
This is EPIC. We need more of this in rap & hip hop. It's up to the artists themselves to create their own legend. Don't need a label or a sponsor to do this... Hope to see more summer 2017.
Gregory Harris Good idea but this session cant be topped. Maybe Premier vs Pete Rock
lol Cass gettin so hype when Drink & 2 Step came on like he don't listen to that shit everyday 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
MurdaLuck5 when was this lol
MurdaLuck5 I got hype when he asked at the end when they going to get rappers in there 😂. He always talking shit and trying to bite someone's head off lol
MurdaLuck5 lmao I know he is so corny probably caught the bus there that's why he showed up late
Lucky Jackson 2020 werd u know that was his highlight lol

Just made "The Dynasty intro" that's an automatic W
Chris Castro yup
The greatest beat EVER!!
This battle is the foundation the Culture was built on ..Hip Hop won
These are two great producers who made popular hip hop exactly at a point when most people think hip hop turned to shit (1999-2004). In other words, these guys helped ruin hip hop. There are no winners here.
HUH???
Dramahawk Moe really???
Dernard Terry really what??
Dramahawk Moe I don't know what the guy is talking about ruined hip-hop
I never seen anything like this! Dont act like U have! This is history! This is LEGENDARY! This is HIP-HOP!
Jeremy Hall I have swizz vs Kanye west
stevieb274 good shit homie! That was epic, but this was next level.

Jeremy Hall not really Mannie fresh vs K-LC was about 3-4 years ago battling each other hits for hits pretty dope...😁
just blaze is waaaay better in making new melodies out of pieces of music.
I would lose my mind in a NY Club and holler: "Just play the damn song already!!!!"

THESE 2 NIGGAS ARE LEGENDS THEY GOT HITS FOR DAYS WOW. SWIZZ BEATZ AND JUST BLAZE.💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Jovanni Nunez b kkjkkkemmmwm
What stood out to me is that Jay Z killed a LOT of the beats they played Hov was in heavy rotation lol
needmoneynow2 thats why I only laugh at people who say HOV is overrated.
Bobba Sparx people that say Jay is overrated either didn't grow up in that era or hasn't listened to his full catalog
You don't need to grow up in the era to appreciate Hov. His genius is subtle. To quote him 'Mother fuckers say that I'm foolish I only talk about jewels, Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it'
Jamal Williams I love that line from Hov because that's what's most do skim through it listen for the beats not the lyrics on that Renegade he spit heat but because of Eminem's delivery people say he "bodied" Hov nowadays it's all about beats & hooks a dance people swear Future spit'n like Nas these days let Twitter tell u
People wouldn't even be saying it if it wasn't for Nas saying it first on Ether. He has so many gems. You should buy his book Decoded if you haven't read it already
Those 118 dislikes. You must not know music. The Dj before the producers.
Thank you both for this. The culture needs this 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
just blaze has passion
Swizz beats has passion

That beat and song always hits my chest
The Anthem for my High School Days
That was the best part about all of this!!
Swizz Beatz Was Great!! but Just Blaze!! Was on another planet!!!! Damn!!!!
whoever won is a matter of opinion, but there's no doubt BLAZE IS A MUCH BETTER DJ. swizz djing skills ain't what i thought they were.
I like how just played the song he sampled before he played the beat
For hip hop heads its dope, but to an average listener that can lose the crowd. They're like "What is this boring old ass song he's playing?"
BIg ups to Swizz Uncle Dee still rockin the Ruff Ryder Gear. But Damn the real MVP here is Jay-z he had so many damn hits off of both of these dudes lol

ladies and gentlemen it's a great year for hiphop bars are back!!
Mannie Madden and BEATS appreciated!!!
just blaze won hands down..simply because he played the samples he used to make the beats
NicKingPapiChulo timbaland use hella samples my guy
word Timbaland always getting sued for using samples and not paying royalties
dumbest comment
swizz beats are done without samples
Yall better leave this uploaded
Ataraxia 💯
great.
download it just in case lol
J Jones how do you download RUclips video?
Thank You
2 things. 1. I would never pay to watch Swizz DJ a live show. 2. Just Blaze, In my opinion, is a more talented producer.
Swiss was mad confrontational at the same time he gave a lot of energy which is.. hip hop..Blaze had a lot of substance..ion know Blaze served meat n potatoes..plus he showed much respect I applaud that..💯 I'm gonna have to keep this 🏆 mad love to both!
This remains me of Juice when Q had the DJ competition to go to.
If you notice, the difference comes in the fact that Just Blaze has just as much hits, yet a more diverse artist library, whereas Swizz hits mainly come from his stint with Ruff Ryders which were naturally filtered to him by basically being the resident in house DJ/Producer. Just Blaze definitely got the W in this case. Both great producers though.
Common Sensei Good comment
Did you watch the whole thing? Just was relying mostly on Rocafella with small pockets of outside artists. Swizz was heavy on Ruff Ryders but he played Cassidy twice, Memphis Bleek, a lot of Jay Z, Busta, Beyonce, Snoop etc
T. Alli u cant compare because Rocafella had more artist on the label Ruff Ryder was pretty much Dmx and Jada. Just played T.I Fabolous,Joe Budden, The Game, Rick Ross and Beyonce they not Rocafella you might want to listen again
DJ MEL I agree that ROC had a few more artists so Just stayed in his ROC bag longer and I agree that he played a ton of outside stuff. I watched the full 3 and a half hours. My disagreement is that Swizz didn't rely more on Ruff Ryders than Just did on ROC. Swizz played some bangers with T.I. as well. There's a reason every producer and DJ was in the comments saying Swizz destroyed Just, because he did. And I love Just Blaze. He just wasn't focused
T. Alli Just played on some the Orginal samples and then the songs. When Just played Mary J and the Oh Boy Camron it was over. Swizz had a entourage in the back ground and his energy gave off a party vibe. Just won of the Beats he made. I wish they played just instrumentals
Blaze was more creative with his mixes.
What kinda hater would thumbs down this masterpiece?
Jason Young trump supporters
i watched it live, some people were getting pissed that the stream was going in & out & that the cameraman sucked
Respect to both. Different styles but thats what made this great.
Just Blaze won this hands down. Swizz is leaning on the lyrics of the artist and Just is leaning on his production.
Brandon Imhotep i felt the same way.
Brandon Imhotep THANK YOU!! I thought i was the only one who can see that
you crazy, 90% of Just blaze career is sampled beats lmao
Kap10 Kush wtf Swizz Beatz shit isnt sampled bruh?. hip hop was discovered by oldies samples bruh wtf you talking about lol
Kap10 Kush go do your research smh
This will go down in history...pure legendary!! Wish the rest of the hip hop community would get in line
