M57 is definitely my favorite by far. Got a mint 70s model for 380 at my lgs. Just wish ammo was more common/cheaper

I bought a bunch of surplus handguns several years ago when I first got my C&R and Century had them cheap-1895 Nagant, P64, TT-33, CZ-52, CZ-82. The Nagant has some novelty value, especially suppressed with subsonic PPU ammo. The CZ-82 isn't too bad, but it's no Beretta 84. The CZ-52 is maybe more enjoyable than the TT-33, but that's not saying much. The only thing the P64 has going for it is how unbelievably bad it is.

You are right about modern pistol ammo like S&B being much milder to shoot than the milsurp that I have in crates. That stuff is very snappy to shoot with the skinny pistol grips. I was thinking about finding some pachmeyer grips like I have on a 1911 that are fatter and really grippy. I bought a bunch of the Tok ammo years ago thinking I would buy a PPSH41,but never have so I've got pistol ammo forever. If I make it in your direction, I'll Bring you some. I'm in Howell county.Mo.

Shot a Russian TT-33 once and really liked it. Fits well in the hand (i.e. better than you'd expect by looking at it) and I think it's got a pleasant recoil. You definitely feel the power, but it doesn't kick distractingly hard or anything. With a bit of practice, really nice and controllable. The one I shot also was astoundingly accurate, even with surplus ammo. Yet I always was on the fence about getting one since I already have a Vz. 52.
You posted that video a few hours ago, and just now a Polish 1954 wz. 33 was put up for sale, near to where I live, in almost mint condition for €250. I'll take that as a sign. It's meant to be. 😁

The caliber is amazing I still have some hot bulgy stuff that will pass pistol armour, flat shooting, hot, has a long range and was the most powerful pistol cartridge until the .357 and the bottleneck makes it more reliable, in use with alot of police forces as they have ammo for it and they don't seem to give up, I love the tok, one of my favourite pistols, I feel it's much better than a 1911, military factory, WW2 history they will always go up.
Does Zastava still import the M57 and it's 9mm version with a real safety on the slide?
My uncle said that when surplus ammo came in it was stupidly cheap, I have a 9mm barrel that seems to work fine and also a new manufacture Zastava 9mm version.
I remember seeing Classic firearms selling some made in Pakistan, it's a very popular gun and cartridge in Pakistan even AK and MP5 clones that take the tok round, they have a big gun culture but are not allowed military rifle calibers so they have AKs in .222 / .223 / 7.92x33 and then bolt actions and something like a PSL in 7mm Mauser.
They are slim hangguns so while heavy compared to modern polymer wonder 9s they don't pint much if you carry.
Ive been told that they do make modern Sig / CZ style pistols chambered for the tok round in eastern Europe and China, shame one never made it to the US as far as I know.

I have a nice Wz that I got as my first C&R, ive had one issue where the sear and spring get unseated in the gun after firing (ive had it happen from S&B and Romanian surplus ammo) as well as with both the original sear and FCG, and a new sear and new FCG. Anyone else have a similar issue/fix?

I lucked out my M57 tok had the Glock trigger along with my standard Chinese tok,I’m pretty sure my other one is a vet bring back, because it has no import Mark and is nickel plated, even the magazine was nickel plated, wouldn’t mind picking up a Tok that is trashed, and see if I can find somebody that would mill it for a red dot, kinda like what James Reeves did to that colt

@@misha5670 the nickeled one is Chinese it definitely has the more modern serrations on the slide where they’re real small and close together. I think it’s a Vietnam bring back.
