not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you are bored like me atm then you can stream all of the new series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf these days :)
Do you think you could make a a 5 string banjo? I want to build a banjo but I don’t want to spend a lot of money on the stuff to make one. A guide to make a 5 string would be be very helpful and I guess probably similar to this
I really would like to build one but I have not come across the proper wood for the neck. it needs to be a combination of hardwoods to have the strength to hold the the pull of the strings. You can download fret patterns from Google. The easiest way to start is to find a pattern and base your build off of it. This way the notes are universal to all banjos and it will be easier to learn to play.
You can download a template online just Google it so your frets are at the right spacing. You can just print it out on eight and half by 11 and tape them together. Then you want to use at least two pieces of wood glued and screwed together. Hardwood is better. This will give the neck strength, when the string start to pull on it it will bend a piece of pine.
That has the sound I have been trying to get..Thank you
Very nice build also great sound for what it is! This inspires me a lot

@@Cypheroutside thanks for the info! Also I kind of forgot to say this, but the banjo you made sounds and looks awesome!
nice job
Hate when the strings are the most expensive part... Haha
What type of strings did you use? What size bolts did you use for the bridge?
Metal acoustic guitar strings
This literally has the properties of a shamisen
But great nonetheless
I wish there wasn't any movie magic. I have no clue how make the neck.
