Your chickens were standing back there thinking, "Is he going to use that sledge to take us out?" 😂 Latch looks awesome, very functional. Have a great day.
Good job on the gate FT! I bet you’re so happy you learned how to weld, it has served you well. Pleasure to see that beautiful green grass too! God’s blessings!❤❤❤
I like that your projects can take longer than a video. Your projects/chores show adaaptability & resourcefulness. Both hubby & I enjoy the videos- you're an inspiration!
Old farmer trick for busting concrete off of post is to place something hard like a strong piece of wood or steel plate under it. You are basically pounding it into the ground and the ground is absorbing a lot of the power.
It’s always satisfying to hear you start your videos the way you do: THE 3 RULES of PUBLIC SPEEKING : “Tell’um watcha gonna tell’um, Tell’um & Tell’um watcha told’em!” Tim in northern TN
Always impressed with your fabricating skills! Maybe when you want to free that other post, drill holes in the concrete to create weak points? Looking forward to seeing the working corral in action 👍👏
What you just said about drilling straight through the steel is so true. I found out through mistakes even on other things that are hollow. Always better to measure and turn it over. The pastures, the cattle, the 'everything' looks perfect. Your up dating and running of the farm is excellent.
Another amazing video. I love your saying " If I don't get started, nothing will get done. I believe you mentioned that was one of your grandfather sayings. and best of all, you call your cattle one time, and it sounds like they say, " were coming dad " watching from SUNNY southwest ,Florida
I just love the way you bring us along on your daily life on your ranch and how you continue to tell us what you are doing and how you are doing it. I'm from North Central Iowa.
I love how the cows respond when you call them. It is adorable! They know that the grass is greener on the other side. I wish life could always be greener on the other side of the fence.
Love love love this!! Amazing! And u wacking at that concrete Shew! That’s tough work!! It sure was good to see all the cattle again too🥰🥰🥰 Sincerely, thanks for sharing! God bless!
Yes Brian @ Sonne Farms is a beast, but I don’t think his was as huge as your concrete blob is. I giggle how you over build things. Great till you take it apart. ❤️🦋
In the FTR world there’s no such thing as “scrap”. But there is a lot of assets that haven’t been re-employed and deployed yet. Waiting with great anticipation to see how that broken up concrete will be re-used.
Tyler just a hint. When I do metal hinges in between the two pieces, put a 1/4 inch thick poly or brass bushing. I have used both, and they work equally well. You will be amazed how well your gates swing. I buy mine from our ace hardware. Nice gate.
Hey Tyler, nice design! Have you ever heard about the "Best Gate Latch" USA brand? That's also a great design, opens with a spring system (one hand), but yours is way more heavy duty build.
Looks to be dog gone hot, ask the panting dogs Calli and Belly. So much welding, wondering who does more (Sonne or Tyler Ranch)? Good job on the project.
I've heard tell that a mag drill can hold a handheld drill in place for precise drilling through multiple layers. Apparently it's kinda like a portable drill press. Amazed at how good the calves look. It'll be interesting to hear how they fare at market time.
"That's not concrete. Now THAT is concrete!" And... Your fly control program looks like it is working. There was hardly an angry head-toss while the herd changed pastures.
I'm only two and twenty in and i have to say, I truly appreciate showing the struggle of the second post. I am sad to say that i was thinking a bit less of you at first, but nah brah, you just human too. love the work man. Truly.
I've seen my dad pop concrete off with a couple hits. But then he would use a masonry blade in his grinder to make a couple weak points, makes it easier.
I love all the time in the shop. Thx for showing the details of the gate. And I couldn’t be happier to see YOU happy with the results. Your cows may be able to figure out that latch, which is why you don’t have it on the pasture gates.
Wow Tyler, That’s a very nice looking latch that you fabricated. What would we do without adjustable wrenches, ratchet straps, tie wraps and vice grip pliers.
FTR is one of the best channels on RUclips.
I totally agree 100% to both!
YES I agree too!! It’s crazy that he only has 131k subs though he is growing steadily❤🎉🎉🥳🙌🏻🤎 this is my #1 channel by far
And he's not political, foul, hateful and/or self-absorbed. Refreshing!
When you called the cattle, at the end of the video, they answered, OK. Once again you have made a strong custom gate. Great video Tyler.
Nope, you don't need a gym membership. You have your own and with a sauna as well. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Ha that’s a good way to think of it!
I laughed to see the pups riding on the trailer, such well trained dogs
Best channel on RUclips! Should have a million subscribers. I’ve learned a ton about different techniques to implement in my own operation.
Wow, thanks!
I dont have a farm...yet but learn alot about farming FTR
Tyler, you are one tough dude! Never seen any one person take on so many tasks by himself....and get them done!
Love to watch your videos.
The gate is a piece of working farm art. You should be proud of your work
Your chickens were standing back there thinking, "Is he going to use that sledge to take us out?" 😂
Latch looks awesome, very functional.
Have a great day.
You can just tell by looking at Brian that there is no doubt he's a very strong man, awesome video btw
Yes, and Brian probably has a hundred pounds on Tyler.
Good job on the gate FT! I bet you’re so happy you learned how to weld, it has served you well. Pleasure to see that beautiful green grass too! God’s blessings!❤❤❤
Tyler is really creative and practical. Fun to watch you create new things out of old.
It is the best channel on RUclips lol always entertaining and fun following Tyler around his ranch doing stuff !! Makes my day better ❤
I wholeheartedly concur!❤
I like that your projects can take longer than a video. Your projects/chores show adaaptability & resourcefulness. Both hubby & I enjoy the videos- you're an inspiration!
I really like the style of the new gate latches you made. That is sure to make things alot easier when you are working and sorting
Old farmer trick for busting concrete off of post is to place something hard like a strong piece of wood or steel plate under it. You are basically pounding it into the ground and the ground is absorbing a lot of the power.
That’s a good idea
I seen the short video of Belly singing and it was the cutest thing. I loved it. It made my day. Thank you....!!!!!
Brian appears to be really strong. Your meat birds are getting huge!
Back in the day, Brian arm wrestled a college kid in Mitchell. Used his left arm and won easily. He’s a legend.
Brian Sonne--the man the myth the legend LOL. Tyler I've made latches like that but bent a handle out of 3/8 rod and welded the sides.
Always enjoy your fabrication work.
It’s always satisfying to hear you start your videos the way you do: THE 3 RULES of PUBLIC SPEEKING : “Tell’um watcha gonna tell’um, Tell’um & Tell’um watcha told’em!” Tim in northern TN
Isn't it 100+ degrees in your neck of the woods!?! Love how you can visualize your creations and fabricate them into existence!!
I like that are never afraid to try new latches, The gate looks strong!
Always impressed with your fabricating skills! Maybe when you want to free that other post, drill holes in the concrete to create weak points? Looking forward to seeing the working corral in action 👍👏
I agree, the pastures look Great! Gate turned out "spot on"! Good day on the FTR!
What you just said about drilling straight through the steel is so true. I found out through mistakes even on other things that are hollow. Always better to measure and turn it over.
The pastures, the cattle, the 'everything' looks perfect. Your up dating and running of the farm is excellent.
Enjoyed this one Farmer Tyler. Keep em coming. Stay safe, strong, healthy and successful in Jesus's Name. ☝🙏🙌💪

Great Work Farmer Tyler ☘
Great job. You're a great fabricator.
Amazing. Again. Man, I wish I had your skill.
I was impressed with your new gate. The latches are great!
Nice work! You have some great skills in the planning and welding department.
Thank you!
I just love the way you bring us along on your daily life on your ranch and how you continue to tell us what you are doing and how you are doing it.
I'm from North Central Iowa.
My back aches just watching you work! Nice gate! Glad to see you're making such good progress on the corral. 👍😊
Hi TYLER how are you FTR is the best you tuber on this channel for sure ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love watching your fabrications!!!
Those are some pretty welds!
I like when FTR calls the cows, they respond ‘Coming!’ 😄
Absolutely brilliant, Tyler. You never cease to amaze me with your incredible skills. Those machines look awfully dangerous. Stay safe!
Love how you work with what you have.
I love how the cows respond when you call them. It is adorable! They know that the grass is greener on the other side. I wish life could always be greener on the other side of the fence.
Tyler, I think it is great how you re-purpose older items and put them back to work. Well done .
I can't wait to see the kiddos be out there with you.
Love love love this!! Amazing! And u wacking at that concrete Shew! That’s tough work!!
It sure was good to see all the cattle again too🥰🥰🥰
Sincerely, thanks for sharing! God bless!
You are so intelligent. Great teacher, too. Innovation all around, highly skilled, super organized. 👍
Wow you built very strong gate awesome job thank you for the video
Sometime, when you're not busy, you need to do a time-lapse drone shot of moving the hot wire.
Everything is hard work when it comes to farm projects being done
I'm fascinated with your welding and fabricating.
Hi from Germany, awesome videos, keep on going
Tyler, you’re a good fabricator! Impressive job with the gate!
Your gate looks fine, make use of what you have, that’s how I was raised.
When we know that we are getting older is when we can't swing the sledgehammer!
Love the gate!
Be Safe
Well done 👏
Yes Brian @ Sonne Farms is a beast, but I don’t think his was as huge as your concrete blob is. I giggle how you over build things. Great till you take it apart. ❤️🦋
I think Tyler could build a car in that shop if given the material. Great talent
I’ve thought about trying to build a tractor from scratch haha! Maybe one day
Such a great job welding up the new cattle yard gate.....love your welding work cheers tyler....
In the FTR world there’s no such thing as “scrap”. But there is a lot of assets that haven’t been re-employed and deployed yet. Waiting with great anticipation to see how that broken up concrete will be re-used.
Ha that’s right!
Tyler just a hint. When I do metal hinges in between the two pieces, put a 1/4 inch thick poly or brass bushing. I have used both, and they work equally well. You will be amazed how well your gates swing. I buy mine from our ace hardware. Nice gate.
Good morning 😃
Great job you do good work.
That's an awesome job on your gate .
Nice work on the gate. You have a lot of cattle. The grazing field looks healthy.
You folks have a wonderful day. ❤🎉❤❤
Your concrete stronger than there’s 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣you do make me laugh xx
Another great video, thanks so much for sharing.
Hey Tyler, nice design! Have you ever heard about the "Best Gate Latch" USA brand? That's also a great design, opens with a spring system (one hand), but yours is way more heavy duty build.
Neat to hear that you watch Sonne Farms. I watch about half a dozen ag channels and yours and Sonne Farms are two of them.
Good morning
Good morning
Again brains and muscle over and over….‼️
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO Tyler ❤ 😊
Nice seeing your new drill press at work. Great puzzle master to make a man gate. Super video today as usual. 💕
Excellent video Tyler .
FTR and 'IFarmWeFarm' are the two best one-person agriculture RUclips channels in the English-speaking world!
I'll have to check that other one out
Check out @JustaFewAcresFarm ... He's and REALLY good guy and his wife has chores too.
TYLER GREAT JOB BE SAFE
You must be burning up in that heat doing that job. 👍👍👍👍
at the @17:50 mark, seeing those big wheels, I thought you had made a mobile silo... 😂... hey, wait a minute, humm 🤔.... maybe not such a bad idea.
Looks to be dog gone hot, ask the panting dogs Calli and Belly.
So much welding, wondering who does more (Sonne or Tyler Ranch)? Good job on the project.
By far Tyler. Cole does do some fabing, but not to the level or amount of as Tyler.
Going well there Tyler. Thats a great sledge hammer. Must be twice the size of mine!
Nice looking gate Tyler. I hate it when you get a clean spot on your welds; then you have to paint it..😉👍👍💚🐃🐃🐃
I just died laughing when I saw the dogs riding on the trailer!
I really like that latch maybe add a cabinet door like handle on each side
You need a small Mag drill. So much easier to operate and alignment is perfect as well.
Looking forward to your new videos!
Thank you. Great video. Nice gate.
Tylerism - I'm not going to get anythig done if I don't get started.
AHA! Form and function win again🥳
Gate is looking good !!
I noticed that too!!🙌🏻
I'm only two and twenty in and i have to say, I truly appreciate showing the struggle of the second post. I am sad to say that i was thinking a bit less of you at first, but nah brah, you just human too. love the work man. Truly.
I would've cut 4 inches down from the top on the side rails and added 2-8-inch filler pieces. Still 4 welds though.
Using white vinegar to break up concrete blocks gives good results. Just soak the concrete block in it.
If you do decide to go with that latch I think a spring of some kind would make it cattle proof 👍
Great progress!
Wonderful episode 😃😃😃😃xx
I've seen my dad pop concrete off with a couple hits. But then he would use a masonry blade in his grinder to make a couple weak points, makes it easier.
I thought you were using a cracking whip sound effect when you were busting the concrete off the posts. Lol. Best of luck. Take Care!!!
You are very talented
