    Customer here! Thank you for this video, but even more for the interesting description of the 604/4310/L100 nexus. Great information. I'll send pics and videos when the project is complete. Fortunately, I live right down the road from the chap who's making high quality reproduction foam grilles, which will likely grace the finished product.

    I saw a video of someone who lightly spray painted their white L 100 cones with Zinzer 123 primer.
    There was someone else who sprayed some primer in a cup and lightly brushed the white part of the cone as well with a touch up brush
    They really did look awesome.
    They never tested the cones preformance or sound before and after.
    Do you think that would make any difference in the sound quality?
    It would be great if someone could do a test and spray a dirty cone and test it to see if it alters the sound.
    I know a lot of restorers who won't do it because they dont want to risk altering the sound quality.
    It would be really interesting to do an A/ B test before and after.
    It would end any questions about if it works or not as an option to saftely whiten old dirty cones.

    From where did you purchase the recon kit for jbl le5-2.?

      I source the parts from my supplier and assemble the kit from scratch, then recone.
