Thank for visiting Cambodia. Love your channel. Like many others, I was born into the war raised during it. As you can imagine the horror we had to see as a child. For the first 14 years of my life. the memories still lives on. At that time the whole country was in a complete darkness. Seeing your show how people are interacting with one another buying and selling. such a total difference world. Not the country I was once knew. My hope and dreams, is that one day I would be able to go back and live there without fear from the past.🙏
A funny story, I went to Siem Reap in 2002 and it was a sleepy village in the jungle. I got in by bus from Bangkok late at night so I found a guesthouse, down an alley behind a school. There was a Citgo gas station opposite where I bought water and cigarettes. A year later I was back at my job, cutting trees down in Pennsylvania, and on one job the homeowner wanted to talk to me. He was very proud because he had travelled. He told me that he had built a Citgo gas station in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Before I could stop myself I said, "Not the one on Charles De Gaulle Road, opposite the school?" I have never seen anyone so surprised in my life.
That story is amazing. What happened than, life long friendship?
Great tips to share this to the world as a genocide survivor myself from 1975 to 1979 and most of my family members did not survive. We grew up in PP City then were forced to the countryside to work in the rice fields and most of them died from starvation and exhaustion. Only memories live on. Be mindful and be kind whenever possible. Happy travels from Khmer in the US!
my condolences
Most of grandparents family did not survive the German genocide of the 1940s.
I understand only a little of your horrors and I agree we need to be mindful and kind.
One day soon I hope to travel to Cambodia, light some incense and pay honour and tributes to your forebears and ancestors.
We will not forget.
Regards from Australia.
❤❤❤❤❤
beautiful ❤
I'm so sorry for the horror you must have suffered.
We should all 'be mindful' that what happened in Cambodia is what has happened when every dictator who ever lived was allowed to implement socialism. And basically destroy the very fabric of society.
I was in Cambodia last year. Pretty impressed on the way you are progressing.
I’m a Cambodian. I grown up in the Phnom Penh city. However my love for Siem Reap land always be so extraordinary. It’s always be my magical land. The local are super friendly. People there are living in peace they love one another and live in a calm, respectful and less competitive life.
It’s the place where I can find both combination between ancient traditional rich culture of my own combine with luxury and cool life style amazing food is a plus.
The temples are so much more than the stone. They represent my beautiful cultures. The nature there is absolutely memorable. Many big trees 🌳 huge river beautiful mountains that’s absolutely Beautiful.
Combodia is not a country

Thank your for your abundant, fine drone overviews and your --- beyond-the-tourist-bubble --- interviews.
I am familiar with greater Siem Reap --- but about 12 years ago.
I stayed in the original Golden Temple Villa for about $15 a night --- near the old market.
Fun and friendly staff indeed!
Thank you kindly!

I just returned from Siem Reap Slava. Your video is a great guide for anyone interested in visiting the area. Amazing things you come up with.
Angkor wat is where I want to go someday.
Ethnic odor tempts me to another world.
Great video! 👍
Ignore the uneducated Thai people in the comments. They are just mad you showed traditional Khmer culture (dresses, dances, etc) in this video. Anyways keep it up! :)
In 2022, your government even said that tourists don't wear the right clothes to enter Angkor Wat, but now people are saying it's your national dress. It's funny.
@@ize9102 Then you must have misunderstood, you're not Khmer, you wouldn't understand Khmer. Don't be making up things to prove your point, its embarrassing.
They mad they can’t be us
THEY BARK LIKE THAT IN EVERY COMMENTS. IN EVERY KHMER VIDEOS. SMH.....

Hello from Cambodia.
I love Cambodia. I've been living here for almost 20 years. Great video. What really makes Cambodia a special place are the people, friendliest people in the world.
Great video! How did you get those drone shots? I ask because they did not allow me to fly when I was there.
Magic!

I was in Siem Reap back in 2017. First country ive been to as a solo traveller.. I love it there, cant believe ive survived 4 days there without internet on my phone. I wish I could go back, since my country's local budget airlines suspended its direct flight to Siem Reap. I was grateful of my travel experience here
love that guy singing karaoke while on a hammock just chilling😃
First visited Siem Riep in 1995. Flew up from PP for a week. Stayed in a small hotel near the center, cheap! Bought a 3 or 4 day pass to the major sights. Had to use an armed guard with a Range Rover! Great time but I see things have changed a lot for tourists! Got back to PP via a boat on the lake & a bus! Anchor Wat is the BEST!
Thank you for this video. My wife and I will be visiting in a few weeks. Everything closes for Tet, so she can't work; it's the only time we get to travel.
Thanks for the videos very informative. I always want to learn about my birth country and my ancesters. Just saying the narrator is handsome. Lol
i really wish to go back in cambodia.
Awesome video! Love how you included prices. Are 50$ flats still available/common?
Yes, but difficult to find at that price. A decent room is closer to $80 now.
Thank you friends for promoting our Cambodia to the world. Cambodia was once known as the Pearl of Asia but Genocides has rips out the country heart and souls of all Cambodians that’s the reason Cambodia were sipping awhile from the modern world todays Cambodia its revival once again stronger and resilients souls ! may God bless you and all your endeavors 🙏💯🇰🇭❤️

Great video!!! 5 Stars!!!
I don’t think King J Aberman VII built any of those Megalithic temples…Seems like he found them and moved into them at that time, and blasted his name everywhere just like the Egyptians did LOL
Great Video none the less!!!!!
