@2:02 - That bloke was using one of those old "lightweight" video cameras...the tape was in that unit at his feet, and the footage was recorded directly onto that, giving you much more ease of movement with the camera itself. The tape was standard VHS size and you simply ejected it from the recording unit and played it back on the VHS player at home.
I was gonna comment about that camera being an early VHS video camera but you took the words out of my mouth lol! Being a vintage video enthusiast I have such cameras of that period still in working order and had a few working portapack VHS decks but each one failed after a while. Here's a link to a local airshow I recorded in 2019 onto an 80s portapack VHS via a VHS camera dated around 1979 or early 80s ruclips.net/video/5N9dHD5kREk/видео.html . I am curious to find out what brand that camera is.

I saw her at a gay club in Birmingham in the mid to late 1990’s, she was doing a personal appearance on stage with Tina Charles, they were both great, they were both a bit pissed but they were still great. 😀 Obv the crowd loved em, myself included.
