Thank you for introducing us to this parade. We enjoyed it so much, and I love all the history you included in the write up too. This one is special! I love the personal way y’all are connected with it. I love the way you elevate other creators too. You guys are the bomb, what makes New Orleans New Orleans.
I wish there was a way you could show more of the dancing, but I'm sure that had copyright music in it, right? My name is Linda, by the way (don't like how RUclips has taken our accounts over so our names don't appear on comments anymore!) Thanks again!
Thanks for saying hi and thank you for watching. We try to show as much as we can on dancing because we love our dancing Krewes and bands and they are truly amazing but you are correct, the copyright issues are the reason we cant show even more of the Dance Krewes. Its always a balance when it comes to that sort of thing, hopefully you check out more of our videos though! We have so much Mardi Gras to Go! 💜💚💛
Oh my gosh YES!! This is what I wanted to see- the local Mardi Gras that the original neighborhoods do before it was taken over by those big fancy floats!! At least the parades with "big fancy floats" do have local marching bands in them, but it seems like the rest has been "monetized." Do y'all think that the big money and corporations have come in and taken over what used to be more of a local parade? Let me know. Thanks for the video 🙂
We are all about the neighborhood parades. We wish some of the parades that were Neighborhood parades that still roll, were still those. At the same time, local conditions after Katrina, supposedly made the old model non workable. When it comes to the money element, we are friends with a few Krewe leadership. While there may be some corporate influence on parades, that is mostly on the Holiday Parades! Most of the local parades are funded by the systems that were in places for generations. To be honest though, that corporate sponsorship may be needed at some point to sustain what we have here! We hope that will never be the case, and the Krewe leaders that we know truly don't want that to happen either!
Your look so beautiful🎉❤❤ your got it goin on West Bank in New Orleans❤
