The best way I found to quickscope was to put variable zoom on closer setting not far setting and as soon as it fully does the zoom in animation you fire. It worked every time, without variable zoom on close setting it's harder to get it consistently
I was wondering why your opponents were so bad until I saw the PlayStation D pad. All the try hards for this generation of cod were always on Xbox, and they're still a bit of a challenge today 😅
The sniping community is still active and alive, there are clans out here that still exist, Eon, Exalt, tL, DE, VE etc... search youtube for "Extol 3" and "Time and Space 3" also.. a BO1 tage that came out recently.. "Exalt Gift - Provenience and "Lean - Dexterous 4"
BO1 was good but ruined by Ghost, by the time the first map pack DLC came out everybody was running Ghost. Treyarch screwed up with the cod points, every single mf in the game bought ghost as soon as they prestiged, it made the game so damn boring
How do you even play online? IIRC 360 at the very least was filled with cheaters already like 8 years ago when i came back to it. Can't say anything of pc or ps3 though.

Do you accept friend requests? Also I’m a 100+ solo player on zombies (can show proof) if you ever want to get a game going. It’s hard to find other good players on ps3, everyone’s on pc
Nostalgia is crazy. I know this video is about BO1 but you should see what people say about MW2 online, its like they forgot how unplayable the multiplayer was 75% of the time back then, with all the overpowered guns, the noobtubes, the akimbos etc etc, when you ask people nowadays they completely disregard how broken the game was in so many aspects to only focus on the few things that made it "good". BO2 fixed all of the issues MW2 and BO1 multiplayer had with an amazing zombies mode but people will still hail MW2 as the greatest cod ever, absolutely beyond me
I agree with you fully about the MW2019 subject, I thought after not playing cod since AW, the hype around that game would be worth it. I enjoyed MW2019 and was really bummed that they just reskin the same game over and over, a black ops game should not feel like a MW game and vice versa.

No, man. We really don't need a BO1 dedicated quickscoping community. I know this might come as a *huge* shock but there's actually a sizeable portion of COD players that find quickscopers really obnoxious. Can you let people have this *one* game, this *one* safe haven from all that? Are you strong enough to go to the other COD games that cater to quickscoping? I like ghillie suit sniping, sniping people from bushes or places of concealment. But you know what? I'm mature enough to understand certain players hate me for that, and I'm certainly not entitled enough to expect and demand COD devs to cater to me with every game they release. I don't go to advanced movement CODs and complain about how ghillie sniping is dead. You're not going to melt and die because you leave BO1 players in peace.

I remember hating the sniping change! I was in a top clan in Australia and once black ops 1 came out, I got kicked out of the clan because my k.d was terrible.... I just couldn't get used to the sniping
tbf i kinda get what you mean when you say its harder and it takes time to learn how too. Me personally i didn't get on with mw2 or bo1's quickscoping but I was a massive fan of doing it in bo2 because i think it was pretty easy tbh.
MW2019 was truly the last good call of duty. Really felt like they genuinely put effort into making it good for the community. Was super refreshing at the time coming off of the futuristic COD era.
I thought MW2019 could've been the best COD, if it wasn't for strict sbmm/eomm. Also the bad decisions they made for multiplayer. It had a good foundation, but their choices made it the worse COD game
People (and me included) were trashing the game because it went back to an older era and we wanted to continue on with the "Modern Warfare". That didn’t last long though from what I can remember. Few months in, people realized how good BO1 was. But anyway, those really were the good days, was an honor serving alongside or against you boys. 🫡

i figured it out day one, they way to couhter what they did was to hold breath as you scoped in to get the accurate shot

I always thought it was weird that the L96 wasn't a one shot kill in BO1 when in MW2 the Intervention was despite both being Bolt Action rifles.
I completely agree with you, Black Ops was my first COD game I played and I loved it. The few times I sniped on Black Ops it was extremely hard.
