I like this song because it is funny even though it's incredibly sad. I think some of the humor comes from awkwardness. You have to choose between being really disturbed by this or just laughing at the humor and its more comfortable to just laugh.
I think it's the empathy we feel for the character coupled with her invested but also 'i'm performing still with lyrics' attitude that makes this so great.
this song, although funny at parts, is actually quite tragic. it's interesting to see how many people laugh at the dark parts. other great joe iconis songs worth checking out are "blue hair" performed by krysta rodriguez: ruclips.net/video/5WQIM6sTbt/видео.html0 and "broadway, here i come!" performed by krysta rodriguez: ruclips.net/video/7BXutgEQ8uk/видео.html
I don't like how people keep laughing? I don't think of it as a comedy song, it's so much more of a twisted tragedy, a realistic one too which makes it even sadder
@ivegotanickel I have to disagree. I've only heard 2 other songs of Iconis' and they're pretty much the equivalent of this song emotion/empathy-wise. And I was far more amused by this song than the others. In fact, during my third listen, I started thinking about a quirky way I could put this number on camera. Not to mention, I'm inspired again to get back to my parody writing. That's gotta count for something!
Sadly I think this must be the most UNFUNNY song Joe Iconis has ever written. Not only is it nor Heidi Blickenstaff humorous. The song isn't even sensitive or empathy drawing like some of the other material Iconis has written. Even worse is that any good theatre song (rock or other) should be able to draw us in by empathy. I feel nothing for her through the writing nor through Bklickenstaff's yelling of this sickly, inane attempt at good lyric writing. +The subject matter is simply a turn off.

As wonderful as Heidi's performance is, I'm also being given life by the ceaseless "Fuck Me" eyes coming from the guy in the back.
***** hahahahaahahhaahahahhaahah
I CAN'T UNSEE
Omg I just realized this was you after 4 years. I still need to sing this!!
Hes rubening /ref

This is so heartbreakingly soothing. I've never heard a truer Iconis song. My new favorite.
I need this in the Spotify album.
Well this certainly aged well
@@swimandsleep6979 omg hello fellow homestuckie
The man behind her is my husband
My favorite Ammonia performance! I love it
This reminds me of Breaking Down from Falsettos! Both great songs
I've probably watched this more than anyone else in the world.
This song and Heidi’s performance is masterful
Oh she was amazing in Freaky Friday the musical!!! I just watched it!
i love this song but does no one else notice lance smirking and laughing in the background :)
What an epic mad scene of a number! Amazing!

She's amazing! The Song's amazing! Does someone have the lyrics to it?
half of the art is the comedy of it. chill out guys this is dark AND hilarious
Wow brilliant!!
Okay woah
maybe its me but i find it weird how people are laughing and this song, at least to me, has a dark sorrow tone to it
Ashley anna that's why it's funny; wait until adulthood
+Ashley anna There are some parts that make me laugh, but others I found no comedy in. Like the "naked on the floor" seems so serious.
It's called Black Comedy
This song is HILarious. It's what Joe writes
i want this song minus the audience
Anyone know where I can find sheet music for this? Please!!!!!!
Renee Fenton apparently you actualy have to contact Joe the writer of the music!
this song is sad and funny at the same time. i got mixed up feelin listen to this song.

I love this new song! Yet another amazing song by Joe Iconis. @ivegotanickel you have 5 cents of no taste.
What's that thing hanging on the microphone? It looks like a bra...
I feel like the people laughing don't actually know whats going on in the song
why are people laughing?
This is such a sad song
