I’ve only heard the first third of this book, but I wanted to say that it is brilliant. The characters are very relatable deep and complex, you really feel for and with them. The world you’ve created is realistic and incredibly interesting. So all up you have done amazingly well with this book. At 67 I’ve read, heard, and watched thousands of books and have enjoyed relatively few, only the ones I can sink into, join their lives, share their experiences, and with your books, that’s exactly what I can do! Thank you for sharing your endless, hard work with us.
Thank you for sharing yor books. I am 67 and a history and fantasy buff. It's clear you know your roman history. You made your own twist on rome and I am hooked. I will try to get friends to subscibe. I am looking forward to the next book. Good luck.
I always love that there are truly caring and thoughtful individual who do these free audiobooks but I also feel cautious because I still can't listen to terrible ones free or not but this one is as amazing as every comment advised. Love you commenters and the one great person who loaded this! God bless.
So far I am stoked! Big history nerd..and love Roman history.... big Fantasy nerd too! I really like how fleshed out everything is. I like the historic setting, it really helps drop the reader into a functional world that breathes and provides context. Great stuff....this how they get you... It is like fishing...hey come listen for a bit...then bang they got you on a hook. I read a ton, get stuff on Audible often...I seldom gravitate towards 7ish hour books...but both of the series I do follow on Audible.....they got me with RUclips channels....clever!
I am not sorry, your work is great! I was just jabbering tongue in cheek... Putting your work on RUclips was a great marketing move. I already hunted out your work on Audible👍@@rhettgervaisauthor
Ten minutes in, and already liked and subscribed. Thanks for providing something quality for free, much respect. Edit: just a small note, it was a thumbs down for survival, thumbs up for death.

@@jamespayne8781 lol. I hear you. I actually wanted someone with a Nigerian/ Yoruba accent, but that's damn near impossible to find! The British accent is non-offensive, so I went with that.

Notice how the Roman said she has no power but she's chained. So he's obviously afraid.
Damn!
