Don’t know anything about the book, just saw read by Micheal Kramer and clicked on it. Man guided me through the most epic fantasy audiobook saga I ever listened to in the belgariad and the malorian. Excited to hear more from him
This was a pleasure to hear. The story was well written, engaging and very well read.. Well above many of the other audio books on offer on The Tube. I increased the speed to 1,25 and this gave a little bit more zest and atmosphere to the story. Thank you.
5:24:20 - the saying against fear reminded me the one from Dune book) Edit: I think the author took inspiration from Dune in some regards( Barjan magic is the shields ). Or I might be completely wrong and am just subconsciously seeing a "23" everywhere I look
No, we wrote The Prisoner of Tardalim as another jumping in point to the series. It is technically stand alone, though the events of the story have major repercussions for the rest of the series.
Please stop. That's embarrassing. If the stories are centered around Anglo civilizations, cultures, mythology and warfare, what do you expect? Second, you clearly forget most fantasy books have ethnic characters if not in primary roles, then as prominent characters and/or their cultures mentioned in the world. It seems your lack of knowledge or ignorance rather than lack of in fantasy.
My feelings on this story, seven hours in: an interesting fantasy world being crippled by a juvenile attempt at a romance plot that is about as appealing and as welcome as a backseat sexual assault on prom night. I'd rather pull out my remaining wisdom tooth with my own fingers alone than sit through yet another one of Amendal's inner monologues about the "progress" he's making with Faelinia. Truly disappointing the effort wasted on that wasn't put into world building or lore. The narrator is fantastic, though.
I'll try it. I know what's gonna happen and I'll get halfway through it and then it'll be gone. Just take it off of RUclips like every f****** thing else I listen to God. I hate this app
Michael Kramer could read a phone book and people would stop and listen truly gifted
I've been listening to audiobooks on RUclips for about 2 or 3 years now and I have to say this is a bonafide incredible find
I as well, yet this is simply tedious so far. Is it AI written?
Thank you to everyone who watched the Premiere today! If you enjoyed this audiobook please like and subscribe.
Umm I'm pretty sure it's channeled

I can’t help but wonder how can two authors write 1 book
Does listening to the prequel first spoil anything for the other books?

I'm really glad to see black and brown characters being the main cast.... It's about time and long overdue for fantasy lovers like me

Buzz off and read something else then
Wrong book , this isn't Roots 😂
It’s nice to see some variety in our protagonists.

The narrator is fantastic, though.
Pokémon for adults... Lol too funny
For Amendal, yes--he's gotta catch them all.

Almost an hour in and it have not capture my attention...I even speed up a bit, but the audio isn't good either...🥱
The secondary objective of this story is the quest to get laid.
