"I don't want to leave. If I wasn't on a road trip, I'd stay here for another week". Ryan! This is why you live in a van! Stay in the places that call out to your soul...take your time...enjoy these beautiful moments and listen to your heart. ☺
Congrats on making it all the way man! Been an awesome time watching your Journey. If you're debating on your next adventure, I would highly suggest doing a cross Canada trip. Lots to see, lots to do, modernized, nice people, well worth it if you do that. Thanks for sharing this journey with us all. I look forward to every video. Cheers.
Yes! All the provincial parks would be awesome! I've seen a couple others do it, but I'd watch it again (and be envious 😅) to see a Ryan perspective.
That actually sounds pretty damned cool. Go back to Maryland via Canada.
Hello From Scotland! So happy for you Ryan! Me and my partner jumped and cried while you were excited to cross the border! Watched your vlogs from the beginning well done!
I was very excited to make it, but very nervous about the dalton highway to come hahaha
I had a great uncle that drove up there many times. My mother tells me he always brought FOUR spare tires with him. I imagine the roads were even worse back then though. Get a panini press! Or just grill them on a pan like a grilled cheese. I do hear toaster ovens work a lot better than regular RV propane ovens though, so that might indeed be a good investment. Definitely more useful than a microwave, IMO. Your pizza crust was probably even better that go because it got to sit in the fridge and ferment a couple of days. That's the best method I've found..I make the dough on a Friday night and don't actually use it until Sunday or so.
Wow. Had no idea any portion of the road was still gravel! How interesting! And what beautiful scenery. So lucky you could fulfill your dream and make it to Alaska!
It is 100% paved its just some sections were gravel because of repairs
I drove that in 89 and alot of the the AlCAN was gravel back then with some sections of pavement. Now it's almost all paved with small sections under repair. The road to Yellow Knife NWT is an interesting ride, gravel but with some jagged rocks that puncture tires. Fun changing a tire at 2AM in twilight with a grisly a few hundred yards away.
What a crazy adventure Ryan. Truly fun to go on this with you. Thanks for all the wonderful content!
Only just discovered your channel recently, I still get the joy of watching back you’re whole journey :)
Jee what do you want a cookie who cares

Congrats Ryan ! Thanks for the beautiful video footage during those six months...
Thanks many more views and adventures to come
My two brothers and my mom drove the Alaska highway back in 1976 I believe it was from Anchorage to Dallas in a 1966 mustang. My brothers were like 17 and 18 or so. It was all gravel back then and they made the trip I think in 7 days. My brother hated Alaska and wanted to get back to Texas as fast as he could lol. My dad moved up there in 1974 and stayed the rest of his life until he was 82 about 2 years ago he passed. He was a bush pilot most of those years, lived in a remote cabin for at least 30 years off grid before off grid was a thing lol. The only way to get there was by plane, boat and snow mobile in the winter when the rivers were froze up. I lived in Anchorage for 5 years from 1976 to 1981. Enjoy your stay.
4 mins early. Nice. This has become a Sunday evening ritual.
Same here

Your cooking ideas along with the trip have been so fun to watch. Thank you for being here.
First of all, thank you so much for sharing your trip with us.
I'm from Portugal and I dream doing something like this all across the US and even to Canada to get to know historic points and the history those locations have. I've been religiously watching these vlogs as soon as I can and man, I couldn't be more proud of you and how your journey was!
I wish you nothing but the best and can't wait to see what adventure are you preparing for the future hehe!
Much love from Júlio!

A silicone brush. You can brush the bread of your sandwich with butter on the outer side and "toast it" in the frying pan on each side, then cover the pan for a minute or two and you can get the panini effect. You can also just put the sandwich in the oven on broil (and broil to brown the pizza "rolls". You really should make a van life cookbook😋 When is the celebratory Alaska Haircut 😁😁
Condrats on making it to Alaska Ryan, much respect. I am just another Virginia boy here waiting to do the same thing, but I had planned on doing in my Subaru Forester Sport. I have been watching your videos since you started making your way down to Florida and have enjoyed watching everyone of your videos. Keep'em coming brother and be safe out there.
A little tip from TV Chef Jeff Smith, through me. Don't scrape food off of a cutting board with the sharp edge of the blade. It dulls it. Always reverse the knife and use the dull edge (top) to scrape.
👏👏👏👏👏ryan I was so happy for you watching you cross back into the US👏👏👏👏 I’ve been watching this journey from the beginning when you started in south Florida. This has been so fun and what a great accomplishment!!! You have an Amazing attitude and outlook on life. Thanks for keeping us entertained 🎉🥳✨✨
Huge congrats bud and stay safe!
This helps me a lot. I plan on doing this drive in the winter
Great job on the video! So professional. Interesting information, lovely scenery, well edited, and good use of the drone.
I can imagine how relieved you feel to be here finallyyyy!!! Dreams come true!
Congratulations on making it so far

Congratulations on Your Journey !!
Great job driving!!!
Congratulations on reaching your Alaska goal 🎉
Thank you for sharing your genuine reaction to being back in the USA! I can imagine the excitement!
Congratulations! It really is exciting, I just wish I had a TShirt too 😂. Thanks for taking us along. I loved the song 🇺🇸 after crossing into America!
Glad you made it there safe! 💯🙌🏼
Amazing trip. I know it sucks to slow down when driving that far but unless you want to change a tire or shock/strut in the middle of nowhere I wouldn’t be sending it like that over those frost monsters lol. Thanks for bringing us along tho! Love the channel!
I just really appreciate the absolute realness of your videos. That and how you refer to yourself as “we” and “us” … I know it’s somewhat of an east coast thing, but in the west coast it’s quaint and sweet. Happy travels!
Congrats man!
Almost at the finish line cant wait to see the next video.
What a great journey you're taking us on. Can't wait to see what's next. Don't forget to check your air filter after that dusty road. Safe travels!
Welcome to Alaska Ryan ! 😂 I’m proud of you making it this far man 🎉
Congrats!!! What an exceptional experience.
That sure is a lot of miles and time, but its been awesome to watch and follow your travels.
Ryan: “I had this great idea for a pastry thing with chicken, ham, and cheese for dinner.”
Hotpockets: 🤨
😂 Enjoyed the video!
I've been following you, Ryan. I also live in my van. Love the adventure.
Its crazy, Ive been on this journey with you and it does seem like its been that long 😮😮😮
Hahahahahaaa....you a r e so funny...LOVE how technical you are at explaining things!...specially that hot bite!! Hahahaaaa...😂😅
Just found your channel today and now I'm going to watch your entire journey! I did a similar drive in my car from Key West all the way up to Alaska in May 2023 and it was incredible! Glad you made it safe and if you're ever in Anchorage, I'd love to get you a coffee!
I feel like this man's vlogs got me threw a tough ass year thank you Ryan ❤
This is so calming to watch. It’s like hanging out with you.
Love the videos! Keep it up!
I enjoy your channel mainly because it doesn't feel forced or over produced compared to the other van life channels. Let's see the out takes and what you don't show us! Stay safe.
Outtakes are just mostly me repeating things over and over again
I love your video's Ryan, made me seriously consider van life at some point later in my life, I love the freedom since most of my life I have been forced to take care of my mother with dementia. I love the idea of being totally free.
I even have an idea for a custom van build I want to share here. I spend much of my relax time in a recliner and because of a back problem I now sleep in this recliner, my van would revolve around a recliner that would be on a track enabling it to be the driver seat, bed and relaxing area all in one. The entertainment area would be opposite the door, kitchen would be in the back and the recliner would swivel so it could turn from looking at the TV to the kitchen to the door to the front of the vehicle. I could be watching TV or w/e then swivel the recliner to the left, get out and cook a meal, sit down in the recliner to watch TV and eat the meal. Then if I wanted to leave the vehicle I turn the recliner 180 degrees and the door is right there. When it is time to go I move the recliner along its track to the front and lock it in the driver position and off we go. The driver seat, couch and bed all in one. I could also sit in this recliner with the side door open and enjoy the views. Wouldn't this be amazing.
love the drone shots
Those roads are considered excellent in the UK.
Congratulations on your journey! What a brilliant series. 🎉
With those roads its great you got some new branded tires forsure! Safe travels ryan! Loving the videos as always 😃
Hi Ryan
Will you do a feature length video of the whole trip edited together ? Think that would be quite cool
I am working on putting something like that together
@@Ryantwomeyy yeah I mean what you have done is amazing but it would be great to see it compiled in to one movie like 90mins long .
Love your content and more importantly you seem a real great guy too
@@Ryantwomeyyyay! Looking forward to it! 👍🏽🤗
Make sum more of those dessert you had made in New Orleans those look fire

Congrats Ryan, 'WE' made it with you as well. Will toast a singe malt today to your successful arrival to Alaska. Thanks for taking us on helluva journey. Looking forward to 'OUR' next adventure :)
I love the videos now that Ryan has the drone it’s great
Loving these longer format vids Ryan! It's such a delight to b included in Ur journey and enjoy Ur likeable attitude and persona.
Also, Ur looking a bit like Danny McBride with that mop top 😂. Cheers mate, stay safe
Hey Homie, that cutting board works way easier if you cut on the other side, so when you pick it up the hinged center locks against it, when you cut on the weak side it flops closed like it did when you picked up the chicken. Speaking from experience 😂
A tip on easy cleaning and avoiding the campfire smell on pans.. grab some ash from the firepit, mix with water and make a paste. Cover the bottom and sides with the paste and then cook on the firepit. All you have to do is rince the bottom and sides with water. Very easy cleanup
Yay! You did it! I’ve been worried about you and the possibility of a bear meeting. So glad you made it to Alaska!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉Safe travels❤️
Great video, as always you are funny, I laughed when you kinda burnt your fingers on your pastry dinner. Be safe and keep the videos coming.
hell yeah Ryan! Beautiful scenery up there
Congrats making it to Alaska. Great scenery. Also, now I’m craving a hot pocket. Heh.
I am a 60 year old guy.. Why do I love your channel so much I think it's your spirit.
I could afford to buy a van and drive the Alaska highway but I don't. You do it. Seriously thank you , you are doing a service to humanity.
Awesome Video!!
One Of Your Best! .
.nice shirt..it's yr color!😊
Heck yeah homemade hotpockets. Great idea. Safe Travels Amigo 👊
Love it man
Ryan, can you imagine my parents is a newlywed driving up the Alaskan highway from Texas to Fairbanks because my father was in the military and that’s where he was stationed at Fort Wainwright. The road was completely gravel no cement and had to be pulled by a big scraper tractor threw some of it, as it was unpassable by car. Then coming back down the Alaskan highway with two elementary age children, my brother and I six years later still graveled road still having to be pulled by the big tractor, stayed in the lower 48 visiting relatives only to drive right back up the highway with my brother and I in tow. This went on multiple times through my childhood. We finally moved stateside when I was getting close to high school high school age. It was a huge adventure. Each time we traveled my parents made it very interesting for my brother and I, and kept us intrigued on what we would see next but the 10 Day drive became overwhelming some of the trips.
YAY NEW VIDEO
Congratulations on making it to Alaska. Those chicken ham pastry balls of things looked delicious.
Another great video!
Great video thank you so much god bless you today
Nice, finally Alaska! Be proud of yourself Dude! You've done it!
