Your addition is wonderful, Irene. It calms down the center a bit, yet adds a spark with the fabrics in the scrappy part. Smart decision to cut the teal or aqua fabric with the lines going side to side. Really cute!
I love what you did, especially the aqua blue. It does calm the quilt and brings the colors together. The glasses and flamingos are fabulous. I love putting something fun in my quilts too. By the way, my husband liked your penguin quilt so much, he wants me to make one. Lol.
Love your addition to the quilt! Can't wait to see the other Round Robin projects as they have progressed. I too, would be quite nervous adding to someone else's work, but you do lovely work so be assured they will appreciate your choices. ❤😊🌹
A beautiful frame. Guess where I am? I’m in Gent on holiday visiting my daughter. I went to de StoffenKamer. I bought some lovely material. The shopkeeper gave me a lovely canvas tote to take it all the way back to England. I read your review which encouraged my visit. Thanks for another video.
Ah yes, frame is the word I was looking for when I said 'bordered in' haha.. That is just wonderful! De stoffenkamer is such a lovely little shop. Gent is such a beautiful city, is you daughter studying there?
I’ve just joined my first round robin group (January) which is monthly until June. I”m very nervous but excited and appreciate you sharing your experience because it gives me great inspiration to fulfill my goal for 2020: to challenge myself creatively and gain more experience with different quilting methods.
Wow! I love everything about this - the design and the colors. I wish there was a pattern for it - like I need another pattern. :) The borders you added to this project are perfect!! Love all your videos. :)
I was wondering if you have started any of the round robin quilts and if so would you show them in the video when you show the others, I would love to see.
zi love this idea of the round robbin and it look so much fun to work on i'm on holiday in scheveningen this weekend so looking forward to it been ones to one of the quilt shows in rijwijk shame the is not one on
Oh wat gaaf weer Irene! 🌷 Ik kwam laatst de hashtag op Instagram tegen van de Round Robin tegen dus heb al een beetje gespiekt 😄 Wordt zo gaaf allemaal!
Thank you so much Melnie! The quilt goes back to the block starter, you can ask you quilt back anytime during the process, but in our group all Round Robins are still going around. We have almost all worked on every quilt, so I guess that we will stop after that. But I'm not sure, since it's my first time taking part in a round robin project :)
I would love to participate in a round robin quilt oroject, but don't know of anywhere to join one. My quilt guild is made mostly of older women, (and I'm 57!), that are a bit set in their ways, I guess you'd say. But at least it's fun to watch you participate, Irena. 😄 You are so creative and inspiring. Lilly Lilly
Maybe you can inspire them to try somthing like a round robin on a very small scale to try it out? But I understand what you're saying.. I'm very lucky with our bee from the Dutch Modern Quilt Guild so close by. There aren't many 'young' quilt bees in The Netherlands.
I wonder if anyone would be interested in shipping the quilt around... I only know 2 other quilters, I'm pretty new to quilting, and I'm not a member of a guild... This would be fun
Sent you a site to look at. To your email. I want to see all the round robins for sue. This border is nice a bright. How long does it take friends to complete a round robin project.
Thanks for the email! Looks like a super helpful site. I don't know exactly how long others take to finish the round robins. We have a quilt bee every two months, that is where we exchange the quilts.
You could have just gone straight down the length of fabric. Just before you started cutting you had it laying the way you wanted. It would have saved you so much time.
I love the novelty fabrics. I never buy them but I can see how cute they are as a pop, like in this scrappy border.
Zo leuk om te zien hoe je het hebt gedaan! En superresultaat!!
You look so good with your long hair and blond. Very pretty lady!
I really like this quilt!! You’re so fun to watch!!
Very nice addition! This is one of the most cohesive Round Robbins I've ever seen. Lovely.

The scrappy border is a very fun touch, especially adding the couple of fussy cut pieces.
Thanks! 😃
Ingenius!🥰👏
Love the quilt!!!!!
I'm so excited to see all the round robins! They are so fun! I have never done one but would like to participate in one eventually
Beautiful! I love the bright, fun colors that you use.
Lovely! Your addition gave it an extra pop! 💙
Great job, lots of color and much fun!
I wasn’t sure when you started but you’ve managed to bring it all together without overdoing it. You’ve very talented! It’s a beautiful quilt!!
Very, very nice! Thank you for sharing.
I absolutely love that!!
LOVE the scrappy border....I am going to do one on a baby quilt I am making! I love how it just pops everything and makes it fun!
Looks great

Aww thank you so much! Yes every time it's a bit scary, but so much fun at the same time to work on a quilt together :)

Yes music.
It looks fabulous Irene!!!
I love this Round Robin! The border is perfect but I would call the color aqua. To me, teal is a darker blue/green. 😊
So so pretty... Love everything you share with us
It's adorable Irene!
Love it!!
Yay! Thank you :D

Aww thanks so much! 😘
Love the quilt... Wanted to order your sampler book but there were no English to check it out & order
So cute! The colors are gorgeous. A question - what happens to the quilt when it is done?
Thank you so much Melnie! The quilt goes back to the block starter, you can ask you quilt back anytime during the process, but in our group all Round Robins are still going around. It’s beautiful, what’s the pattern
Turned out really cute...so colorful. Do you ever get to keep one of the round robin quilts or does the group keep them or are they given away?
Thank you! Yes you do get to keep the round robin that you started with. Will show in the next video what my round robin looks like now
Love your videos and love the round Robin idea!
Can I let you know that turquoise is pronounced: turk-oys (like toys without the t).
Prachtige rand!
Dank je Judith! Zo leuk om te doen, en erg leuk om te zien wat de anderen er aan maken.

Thanks!! :D

Dank je wel Petra! Blijft spannend om een idee uit te voeren en te zien hoe het in het echt wordt :)
