I just got laid off from Advance Auto Parts. Our distribution center is turning into a hub center it’s connected to the store. Customers want their car parts as soon as possible. If I work there they decrease my pay down to 13 an hour. My pay in the warehouse was 21 an hour. Like what the fuck who’s gonna wanna work in a position where your pay is almost half what you make an hour. I’m just done with this greed in the society. They even laid off a woman at my job that was pregnant about to have her first child. Let her go. I was furious. I don’t know where I’m gonna go after this. I want focus on my mental health for an entire year but I got bills to pay. I have to work. My rent is going up in September. I’ve already signed a lease before I found out I got laid off. I’m just done with this corporate America bullshit I just want peace. There’s people out there that just live for conflict and rare chosen ones out here are like just done with the bullshit going on in this country. Our society gets out of balance today this world is not gonna get any better. Everybody is up in arms at each other about the election and the debate. This is gonna be the first ever election, not gonna vote. I don’t want to vote. I shouldn’t even have to say that. Guys, you have to get to a point where people are not gonna understand you and if that’s the point you’re at, your loved ones not understanding you your friends and coworkers not understanding you your boss or your manager doesn’t understand you, You know you’re in the right place you know the system you know everything behind the scenes pretty much without even actually investigating. Being an observer is a great trait to have especially today.
I decided long ago to avoid vacations. The cost just didn't make sense. Same goes for cars, electronics and clothes. I cook my meals at home. Paid the house off and quit work. People hate me because I sleep late and dont work.
I planned my whole life 4 days before graduating from High school, to do the opposite of everything of the norm. I'm 60 and it worked great for me. Debt free and own my home out right.

I make 6 figures and own multiple properties. I'm not super up on tech. Nor the stock market and don't claim to be a know it all. But common sense I have Alot of. If money short get a second job or work overtime. Drive paid for vehicles. Cut back on some (not all) of the designer and cut back on going out some. That's 4 easy principles to apply.

Had great credit and I knew multiple ppl with programs who needed to find housing for their clients. I subleased to them. So before I brought a property it was already a line of ppl to place them in the homes. Now remember I was making over 100k ( real good money in the Midwest) and I was able to live off that and not touch the business profits. I kept adding properties and living good off my job. I know it was long response but I wanted to give you a pretty detailed explanation. It's not easy but definitely not as hard ppl make it out to be. I listen to ppl like Anton and Boyce Watkins also.

If you’re Gen X it was just a different time to grow up. The best time. We looked up to our elders so we LISTENED to them. I carry what my elders have taught me till this day. That’s why I’m not broke homeless and hungry 💯 We had to grind. I walked 2 miles to school when I was just 6 years old. The role models we had like Bruce Lee, Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali are way different from the role models of today. And that’s a huge aspect that goes over looked. 💯

You're absolutely right!! I lived my life the same way. When I saw everybody else doing one thing, I ALWAYS did the opposite. Starting in band class, everybody else played a smaller instrument and yet, I chose the Tuba; the biggest instrument. But, that Tuba helped me get a scholarship to college to where I didn't have to pay. When everybody else was getting married and having kids, I didn't. I was traveling the world and WORKED in other countries and had a GREAT with GREAT memories and I'm doing it RIGHT NOW. I'm in Peru right now! This is how I too was able to do all of the great things that I have done and it why I enjoy my life now!!

I agree with the PTO point. Since working from home the last 4 years, I only take PTO when I am actually on vacation. If I’m going to be sitting in the house around a holiday, I just stay logged in, barely have work to do and watch TV or a movie. What’s the point of wasting PTO?

Yip. I've been fundamentally doing this all my life. Mine started out with gaining skills / talent. I noticed the old timers were crazy talented vs my peers. If you want crazy high talent..... copy those that have, do the opposite of those that don't. It's no different with finance, the gym or whatever. I like working before most people get up..... I get way more done before lazy people pretend to come to work. People are crying about the econonmy.... I don't even notice as we live so many miles from our "edge". We underbuy everything and drive the wheels off from everything. We also have no debt, own our home, vehicles.... have a high credit score and so on. It's amazing how much money you can save on many things, by just waiting to pull the trigger. Most people embrace the brain dead... why? Because it's easy. I found a way to make money that virtually noone does and people don't understand even when I explain it. I've tried giving away what I've learned, but peoples attention spans are too short to even listen, much less do it.

The external environment is a gamble regardless, depending on who you are and where you’re at; there are many success stories of people staying in their respective areas and never needing to work a job ever again. Everybody has the golden formula in retrospect, but as Scott Adams said in one interview, "I tried a lot of things until something finally worked," and sometimes serendipity comes fast, but most of the time it doesn’t. I’d say for Anton, he found peace with his wife early in life and never strayed; that was the real catalyst for his success, and I’ve seen that formula contribute to at least moderate success for the average man several times before, given that the bond/routine is stable. Wanting more than that is the real challenge that will either hamper your success metric or raise it, with a very risky trade-off, of course.
Did the same thing with my PTO, using a few days of mine next week. Got to the office today and the door was locked since everyone else used theirs, so I’m getting paid for the day even without using it 😂

I agree with the PTO point. Since working from home the last 4 years, I only take PTO when I am actually on vacation. If I’m going to be sitting in the house around a holiday, I just stay logged in, barely have work to do and watch TV or a movie. What’s the point of wasting PTO?

Yip. I've been fundamentally doing this all my life. Mine started out with gaining skills / talent. I noticed the old timers were crazy talented vs my peers. If you want crazy high talent..... copy those that have, do the opposite of those that don't. It's no different with finance, the gym or whatever. I like working before most people get up..... I get way more done before lazy people pretend to come to work. People are crying about the econonmy.... I don't even notice as we live so many miles from our "edge". We underbuy everything and drive the wheels off from everything. We also have no debt, own our home, vehicles.... have a high credit score and so on. It's amazing how much money you can save on many things, by just waiting to pull the trigger. Most people embrace the brain dead... why? Because it's easy. I found a way to make money that virtually noone does and people don't understand even when I explain it. I've tried giving away what I've learned, but peoples attention spans are too short to even listen, much less do it.
That is how Warren Buffet made his fortune...buy low sell high.

I've been saying this for a while. Use this way of thinking politically as well. Don't follow the crowd!

Wanting more than that is the real challenge that will either hamper your success metric or raise it, with a very risky trade-off, of course.
