Miyazaki Prefecture is warm with a high percentage of sunny days even in winter due to its latitude, but Takachiho, perhaps because of its location on a plateau, has cooler temperatures than Miyazaki City. I had to wear a down jacket. In mountainous areas, roads sometimes freeze. It is also advisable to make reservations for boats at Takachiho Gorge. I think it is OK on weekdays, but it is quite crowded on weekends. I wish you a wonderful trip!
