- The Permanent Observer for the State of Palestine, Riyad Mansour, urged the UN Security Council to take action, saying "When are you going to act?" He demanded an immediate ceasefire in line with Resolution 2735, without further conditions.
Mansour criticized Israel's continued killing of Palestinian civilians and called for international leaders to join President Mahmoud Abbas in visiting Gaza to witness the situation firsthand.
He also requested the Security Council's support in facilitating Abbas' visit and implementing a two-State solution, starting with a significant step in September. Mansour emphasized the need for urgent action to stop the violence and protect civilians.
