    Not gonna lie, when he first trimmed his locs I was upset!! I knew a big chop was eventually coming. & I honestly judged his decision but after going through my own changes I realized that our hair should not dictate us. I had grown my free forms for a year, loved the journey & definitely loved them but I started them at a time in my life where I needed to just surrender everything to the universe, to the most high & get to know my inner self.. I began healing & dealing with a lot of trauma especially from my childhood & began to love me for me again which was my ultimate goal. Once I achieved that it was like as soon as my 1 year anniversary hit, I began getting this nudging feeling that it was time to comb them out & release all of that negative energy that had built up & been brought to the forefront throughout the year from my shadow work. I hesitated at first and eventually gave in & so far I have no regrets. This set served their purpose and my inner self was telling me that it was time to release & move on to another phase of my life. I do see myself starting another set in the near future, but they will be for a different purpose & different goals!! Plz stop bashing this man. Free forming is also about FREEING YOURSELF & not caring about others opinions!! Who knows, some of u may come to a time in your life where u feel u need a big change or maybe u won't but that is OKAY!! DO WHAT U FEEL IS BEST FOR U & DON'T LET OTHER PEOPLE MAKE U FEEL BAD ABOUT FOLLOWING YOUR INTUITION. I think that's the beauty in us, that we can change & adapt at will. Peace, love & light to all. ✌️❤️⚡

    I went through two sets myself, my first set I had 3 1/2yrs and the chopped them. I grew up old school Haitian, my parent (specifically my dad) pressured me often and I eventually chopped them. Now my second set I started growing them back not even a year after I chopped the first set. I got married, moved away, 12yrs later I recent chopped again. 12yrs, I didn't think I'd ever chop them again but one day it just felt like it was time. Everyone journey is different ✌🏾🙏🏾

    Zay is making power moves out here, and to that much respect! He is an entrepreneur in a whole different country/continent from which he came from. He has to survive just like all of us, even more so with that in mind. So you know what that means. I’m not saying I’m right on this, but just taking a guess. I wish things were different but there is a strong correlation between professional advancement and hair. I believe he felt it was time in order to pull off what he is trying to accomplish.

    I loved his locs, and I’m sure he did too. But sometimes one is called for a new journey. I was called to cut off my first set of locs before my current freeform journey (I’ll be 2 years in come Aug 15, 2022). I’m glad he is unafraid to take the next step of his spiritual journey. Sometimes, the Most High calls us to release pst energy & cut soul ties; could have something to do with his big chop.

      So you’re basing positivity, Spirituality and truth on whether or not one stays the “same” throughout their journey... he changed his mind, his journey ended, he shifted, why does that offend people? Your journey is all that should be relevant to you not his... seems like the people that are upset missed the entire point of a Journey... it’s about fluidity, not sticking to a course, mindset or path just because you felt a particular way about it in the past... It’s hair!!! It’s not like he was a Black Lives Matter activist then married a White Supremecist... that would be a viable conversation...

    • @Spookywoods369
      @Spookywoods369 3 года назад +3

      I mean we're all just overly evolved apes no human was created and no one race or color is "chosen" in fact. If you want to be technical it's impossible that a black man walked the earth first. early humans weren't white or black they had a medium skin tone like an Egyptian or Mexican. Being black just means you have a bit more Melanin, an adaptation that humans skin developed to help deal with the harsh Sun of ancient Africa at the time when we humans spread out across pangea.

    • @Spookywoods369
      @Spookywoods369 3 года назад +2

      Also the earliest examples of dreadlocks we have in history is by the ancient Greeks in 3600 BC that's around the same time trade started with ancient Egyptians where it was adapted and from there and moved to Africa eventually through trading routes. Before then traditionally Egyptian and Africans didn't keep hair because lice crabs and other diseases were rampant and bred and clung to hair women and men all had shaved heads. The ancient greeks Bathing and being in a different climate actually made the hairstyle sustainable. So it wasn't possible for ancient Africans or Greeks to have locks unless they just had waves of lice on their head 24/7

    I've watched this video multiple times now. I just love it. If hair really is spiritual and locs really are antennas, then there's a big connection between that and our guidance system. I believe we are led to do something as radical and spiritual as freeform locs by our inner being. The longer they grow the more awakened we become, the higher we vibrate. And if after all that journey we reach a point (with peace) to release the locs, then that's still our inner being. Higher Self knows what we need, and once the purpose has been served we can be allowed to release what we once needed. To keep them would be out of desire - which is beautiful if the desire is actually there. Imagine keeping what you no longer need without the desire to keep it, that would be burdensome. Remember how religion felt? I do. Yikes. Our antennas are not meant to become law over us. And that's beautiful.

    What if cutting your hair wasn’t an option? Why do we keep changing the way we look? Why do we go to barbaric shops or so called beauty salons? Why do the hair keep growing every time we cut it? Cutting your hair seems like a never ending process to me. I remember his videos and how he expressed growing the natty!!! He was huge with accepting yourself the way you are. Sometimes I wish BABYLON didn’t give us so many options.

I’m just tired of being profiled in these bias people heads. He changed that for sure.

    When he went to Ghana 🇬🇭 things changed. You are a “Rasta” everywhere you go. You will be most likely stopped by the police when traveling through different regions. It’s hard making moves over there because everyone is thinking you’re a weed smoker or seller. I believe he cut his locs to blend in, that’s my opinion.

    What’s up Knot, it’s been a few years. You might remember me as Guerrilla Strats from a few of your streams back when. Long story short you and Zay were some of my earliest inspiration ( going on 3.5 years) . Zay cutting his locs is really … off man. I feel I was rubbed the wrong way by Gunther too back when he “changed” on RUclips. I understand everyone grows and experiences life differently, but I feel maybe social media and society in general has a heavy influence on these decisions. Idk man maybe I’m just speaking out my opinion. I appreciate all of you guys. I’m sure you’ll cut yo shit too and have the community triggered at some point . Till then, I can’t forget why I started. Can’t wait to pass Zay . Hope you don’t tap .

      @@nickwilson5568 if you judge Zayloc for making this decision, then that is the same energy we get from some who look down on us for having locs. Love is love. Lift the brethren up. Its his journey, respect it. He is doing great things on the continent. More than most!

    I wonder if he considered separating the thicker ones before cutting them all off. Would love to have heard his thought process throughout, but that is personal to him.
    Thanks for taking the time to edit this for us all to view bro. Locs or not, Zayloc is an inspiration to many to continue on their journey. He is still putting in work on the motherland to move the continent forward. I pray he continues on that path. Bless!

      for me its because I had a shitty job for YEARS and always wanted locs, when I finally left the job first thing I did was let my hair grow, travelled the world, total freedom!!! when I see folks cut their locs it reminds me of my past shitty life, when I had no freedom, and had to be fake for 9 hours a day and confirm to slave society... BUT, I would never tell anyone what to do with their hair. Who knows, some folks have cut their locs and grown them back!

    I’ve been growing my locks for 34 years. I started in 1992. They’re on the floor and dragon, but there has been a problem with the top. I was a school bus driver for 26 years and when it got to a point I couldn’t wear my hair down. I had to wear a wrap on my head every day And the top of my hair out I still have the length from my ears all the way back down to the flow, but the top is much shorter. Get some put in before I heard about wick it was called Cox true not my name is Margaret Fort and I live in Baton Rouge Louisiana.
