I'm a traditional Catholic when it comes to music but I think Vatican II was essential to spreading the gospel to all nations and cultures. The important thing is that in our diversity we are united in one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of ALL. Eph 4:5-6. God bless your ministry.
i attended a mass with a black choir siniging gospel music once. when it came to the gospel alleluia, i have to pinch myself and ask if I am still alive.? dear Lord, bless those lovely black women who knows how to sing allelulia!
It's good to see the diversity of Catholicism in this parish - and it should be that way. People should feel comfortable with their own culture while being Catholic at the same time. What matters is how you express your faith and give thanks to the Higher Power.
this Makes Me So Happy and With an Humble heart , Proud to be Catholic. because As A Catholic ,I Love The traditional Hymn in mass. But in my heart also I have a Joy for music! and to be completely honest and as a Christian I roam in search for so many different ways and tunes to worship Jesus!!! wether it's through Adoration music and alive and Festive Worship songs. I hope to one day be present In this parish and Be a part of The celebration of the Eucharist with a Joyful heart Ready to Worship The King of my Heart.
thank you for sharing this video, i love it when all people sharing the moment of love from above otherwise good music purifies the soul always! god bless you all!
Nothing wrong with good Gospel Music. I love good Black gospel music. Some of the best comes from the First Church of Deliverance in Chicago, Fellowship Baptist, and Cosmopolitan Church. But why not sing from the choir loft to prevent this style of musical expression from becoming a performance and a show in itself.
It is a beautiful thing to watch cultural diversity in the Church. Check out and register for the Third African National Eucharistic Congress in Washington D.C. on August 3, 2016. More than 500 people have registered from all around the country and more than a hundred coming from Africa and other countries as well, including African Cardinal Monsengwo. The registration deadline is this week.
I always have 2 questions: 1. Why is the black catholic's music the same as black pentecostal's music ? 2. What happen when a black catholic likes the traditional sacred catholic music?
Catholic means "all embracing" and this is wjat the Roman-Catholic church demannds, a universal, all embracing Church with the City of Rome as its center!!

Could any tell me what the names of the songs are, that are in the back ground of this video, especially the first piece?
Interesting, I’m black Baptist and we sing the same songs as they are, and the same way.
Yes! Quoting church documents and Sr. Thea Bowman!
