So glad to see you again, my wife and I are retired and last winter we took off. 11,000 miles 14 states and 5 and a half months. And you and Roe had a part in that dream. Wish you the best and hope that one day we will meet.

A lot of I this and I that. Like the several last videos before you left over a year ago. No, Roe. And she started out without you months before. Remote work she could have stayed with you. But bought her own rig, and left .... you.! Good luck, David.

If maintaining and gassing two rigs gets untenable, consider a bunkhouse trailer where you can remove bottom bunk and make that Roe's office and craft/storage area and then you still have upper bunk for other storage needs!

I learned how to grease my bearings watching this channel, started research on generators when you converted a Honda from gas to propane, even had a better idea what to do with my stove when the glass shattered because of your episode where the stove rattled off the countertop. I'm happy to see you're back because there is something about your channel that is more relatable. i have crazy dreams of retiring and supporting my wife and I by being a remote consultant for school information systems while roaming around. We've got a long way to go to get there... it's encouraging to see those who have done it!

Good to see you back and looking forward to see your new adventures. Just one little piece of advice. Shortly before taking your break, it seemed as though you were only continuing to make videos for the income and weren't really enjoying the process of making them. If (and it probably will at times) it begins to feel more like work again and less like enjoying your life, just take another break. Don't let it become a chore to be completed. Your first priority must always be to enjoy life.

Haha yep! We've been doing the two rig thing for a year now and while it's been really nice having more space it really isn't practical for a number of reasons (as I'm sure you can guess) so we're getting ready to sell both the trailer and the motorhome and get a fifth wheel 👍 but we wanted to give the two rig thing a try since it's something we've thought about for a while

We are very fortunate to live in a time period where we can live alternate life styles. We don't have to be bound up with the traditional thinking, Married you live together, Nope my husband doesn't travel I do, ten plus years he is in Utah I am all over. I missed you both while you took a break, and I do understand the need for a break and why you came back. Life is so different when you stand still. I can't stand still, traveling is important to me. As I have gotten older I have had to stop because of health but boy watching You Tube videos sure helps me. Thank you for your story and glad you are back. Good luck

So excited to see your smiling face again. 😁 Your videos really helped us while we were trying to decide if the full-time life was for us. Turns out it is. We sold our house and bought our motorhome 3 years ago. It's a little bit bigger than your trailer (39' with 3 slides) so we have the room we need. We still have to work part of the year, but that just means we get to spend the beautiful summers in WA state. We are headed south for the winter in just a couple weeks. It was great seeing Sweetie. The pictures of her from your meet and greet still show up on my photo shuffle. How are Butters, Alice and the bunnies doing?

We travel for half the year. It allows us to see our kids and grandkids, take care of doctor appointments over the summer months and stay out of the cold and snow during the winters. The first year we set out was in a small tt. Big mistake. I need my space. When we returned, we traded in the tt for a fifth wheel and bought a new F250. The next year was so much better!

Glad to see you guys back online. My girlfriend and I travel in separate rigs. I have a class B and pull a small trailer with my bike/kayak/etc and she has a Casita trailer. Works great have two rigs for local travel/ groceries/ hiking. When one vehicle needs service or breaks down we have access to the other while one is down (usually mine as it is 30+ years old). And it allows for some 'alone' time in each day to keep stress levels lower. Additionally we can travel for family visits/support individually throughout the year. I'm currently in MN and she is headed to KY where I'll see her in a couple of weeks.

@@FateUnboundi don't think you need 40 feet. you can find a trailer with a bunk house and create the extra space and still be at 33 feet or so. There must be something besides a total separation. I think this separation is dangerous long term David. I pray For rethinks this because I have the impression this is not your idea.

So where is Roe? Are you going to sell one of the RV’s then? If keeping the motor home, are you going to tow your truck? Or get a smaller 4 wheel drive? Something doesn’t add up here. Something not right with this re-entry back into RUclips. Part of the story is missing.

    • @FateUnbound
      @FateUnbound  11 месяцев назад

We don't know what we're going to do in the future. We have talked about having two rigs for years and we finally decided to give it a try. Roe made it clear she didn't want to be full time again in just our small trailer. We might go to just one larger rig or keep two smaller ones. We're testing this setup out first but so far it's working well.

I just think it's kind of strange that in their big come back that Roe isn't standing next to him with the explanation. Seems like maybe that's not the whole story🤔

Yeah, I stopped watching the channel the first time it got weird (after watching from the beginning). It looks like it’s only getting weirder.
And I’m not really complaining. Peoples lives change. People themselves, change. That’s the way life works. I wish them the best, whatever the heck is going on.

@@dwderp I kind of got tingly spidy senses when Jenny changed her name to Roe, and chopped off the hair on one side of her head.

I just want to say two things. First, there is no one set way to live. Think of it more as seasons. This is the season for you two to get back on the road and try having two RVs (There is a hell of a lot of upside to this that I think you have not even discussed yet. Like, even though boondocking is safe, it looks WAY safer to have two rigs in a spot than one. breakdowns, theives, etc). Second, the content you put out absolutely makes a difference. I went on the road in 2019 with my family and wanted to be off grid as much as possible. The video you put out on the GoPower inverter/solar install (I think it was a 2-part series), I watched many times over and modeled my system after that. That video gave me the confidence to do something WAY outside of my comfort zone. We were on the road for 6 months and stayed plugged in at a campsite 6 days in total during that time). It was the experience of my life (so far) and brought me so much closer with my kids. For my current "season" I am currently sticks and bricks with two teenagers, divorced, and I am just enjoying being close with my kids and supporting them until they are out of the house. Instead of dreading being a 50-something empty nester (my next season), I am saving and planning. I picked up a new water sport, wing foiling, that I can do anywhere there is wind and water, and plan on selling or renting the house to fund the kid's college and get back on the road in the coming years. Glad you are back on RUclips. I appreciate what you do!

Great to see you back David, you were missed by many of us, those that couldn't wait for your next video! I can realize the grind, getting up in the morning and not really feel like either getting B role or videoing, so if you ever feel that way...take a day or two, or even a week off, and video when you feel like doing so! I know the feeling of feeling drained back in my Power Engineering days, where I too wanted nothing to do with it once I left it, and went in another direction as well. Honestly, you are a good spokesperson on RUclips, so it's good that you do feel like getting into it again, and we all look forward to the future video's to come! One of your past video's that comes to mind, which had me somewhat spellbound, was you where travelling in the snow, wondering/worrying if you could make it to the summit (which you did) having possibly most of us on the edge of our seats, hoping for a good outcome. I find it interesting how such video's seem to have their own little cubicle in our minds, but I suppose it's from watching so many of your video's for so long, where some of us start feeling like an extended family, and hoping for nothing but the best for you two! Look forward to whatever you choose to put out for us, and I see you still have your e-bikes (I assume on the motorhome) so venturing out on the many trails, seeing even more locations from the campsites you choose, will be exhilarating! Oh, was wondering if you'll ever be choosing to roam around within Canada David, as our forested roads are much similar, and like the U.S. from Province to Province, the changes are immense with regard to the topography, where generally everyone is pretty easy going?
