I love so much the traditional opera productions, not the supermodern that destroys the context and purpose of the creation. Jaroussky incredible, normal, he is a genius.
Memorable, sincere, moving, just adorable. This opera story in its consequence to bad behaviour is amazingly realistic, showing human failure as consequence. This aria stands out as loving statement.
I don't know about music technic and such things... I am just listening this kind of music since I was a child. But what I want to say and I cannot keep it anymore.... Since I discovered this aria, every time when I am listening I am flying among my tears... Mr. Jaroussky, thank you for your Art! :)
Im Italian and let me say Ariosto and Vivaldi give me the pride to be a person who treads the italian soil from breakfast up to bedtime! Who are you, Mr Berlusconi?
I completely agree with you. This opera is superb. Like you I don't understand why the 4 Seasons are so praised. I don't especially like these concertos. Vivaldi has written many other marvelous concertos, for ex the concerto for 4 violins which is fantastic. So fantatisc that JS Bach copied it and transcribed it for 4 harpsichords. Vivaldi is the best !
Why are the 4 seasons so praised? It was featured in a popular movie, and many Americans having being moved by it, rather than researching more music of it's kin, took it as a mark of their education in the fine arts and ticked off the "know classical music category" on their bucket list. I wish all of this music was given more credence. So many unknown pieces yet to be recorded. This is why I love Cecilia Bartoli's work.
@@thucydidescallas525 Four seasons is very usable across the board: dance , movies theatre productions Its so dramatic plus non vocal. Brilliant snip in Portrait of a woman on Fire..just the storm and the protagonist is trying to recall it she's a painter not a musician and then its presented in a concert at the end. So whether you are a concert goer or not you know it! My first love was Vivaldi's Gloria . I adore the composerruclips.net/video/FNnht2vDkEU/видео.html
I don't even know which I should praise more, the voice or the flute. And as for the combination, it's very moving, to say the least. @ notruf34, Indeed, everybody just mostly knows about Vivaldi's "Four seasons", beautiful as that is, it's only a fraction of the beautiful music I've only recently discovered from Vivaldi.
Strangely, none of the singers of this piece (who i can find) actually sing the Italian words as they are written here above. Instead of "addita", they sing the altogether more comprehensible "guida in". (I presume that the "il" before "porto" was just a typo.)
Ineffabile splendore!
Magic...indeed. Not only Jaroussky but the flutist too!
I always come back to listen to this again
Magiczne , cudowne, Jaroussky i flecista, super!

Jaroussky makes it seem so natural and effortless...
Memorable, sincere, moving, just adorable. This opera story in its consequence to bad behaviour is amazingly realistic, showing human failure as consequence. This aria stands out as loving statement.

The flute player (Alexis Kossenko) is out of this world.

SUBLIME ....💚🙏
It's absolutely criminal that this video has a few thousand views and a few hundred likes, while absolute garbage has millions.
I don't understand this either -such exquisite beauty and not heard by millions

The kummerbund comment belongs to the previous aria, it came too late.
awful Jaroussky!
