Jacks Point - construction started in 2004/2005 and the first homes were built and sold in 2006 by Fletcher Living. I worked on the construction there.

No rail link, no bus link, miles away from town, no schools, no shops,no jobs, no businesses near, ?. Once again poor planning. Let’s just build a lot of homes in the middle of nowhere and congratulate the planners and developers. Duh. Sorry but you seem to be in love with shiny new homes, but forget how anyone actually lives.

Kia ora Kerry, thanks for the feedback, all fair points. Responding on a couple of points, there was a bus that goes through both developments, unclear on specifics but we noticed quite a few teens using it. Queenstown has a pretty small population so assume bus is more workable than train. Hanley's Farm has a brand new school which opened about a month ago - seemed to be primary school. The first commercial is also underway in the area with some work/live spaces and a medical centre in Jack's Point. Both developments are also close to the Frankton area which has a growing amount of industry, retail, etc. Cheers

Frankton is a pretty major centre now. Suspect more locals work and shop there than the CBD
