I found home free last night laying in bed not being able to sleep. Decided to switch to my computer for your reaction this morning, and O M G that BASS! Literally melted in my chair. People do yourself a favor, put on good headphones or play on real speakers.
Adam Rupp the sound effects guy!!! Harmonica sound is natural from Adam! This song from movie O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU!!! Love it!!! Deeply southern!!’
These men are beyond comprehension. I don't know which amazes me the most. The harmonica vocals or the drum vocals. How do they do that?????? Surely there are musicians and their instruments somewhere behind the scenes. It is true. Only a small part of what we see and hear is actually what it appears to be. Yep. Don't believe everything we see and hear. Home Free is great. I love them. And I like their version of this song better than the original. The video is great too. Just think how much money they save by not having to buy instruments and pay people to play them. AND they don't have to haul all that around. Must save them and extra bus or two to haul all that as well. LOL
I'm a dedicated Home Fry, and I was a competition a capella singer in high school and college (80s). Classically trained, I never even imagined this type of music being done a capella. These men are brilliant, and I highly recommend you attend a live concert, because I was equally shocked that they produce the same vocal quality on stage. Plus, they're the the most fun you can have at a concert. Seriously. Just do it! 🙃
Thoroughly enjoyed ur reaction. Try Home Free cover of the Crosby Stills and Nash classic "Helplessly Hoping". Five men in true harmony. No beatbox...just amazing. Yw.
once again sir...i applaud you...on yet another outstanding reaction vid of the wonderful group,,,"Homefree"! Thank you so much! Keep up the great work!!
Wow, this is amazing. No instruments involved but it sounds like a full band backing them. If you listen while they sing you can easily pick out each of their voices, neither one stepping on or drowning the others out. The jaw harp, harmonica, drums, and bass all sound so dang real. I'm blown away.
They got even better after the Sing offs and have grown. Helplessly Hoping, Mayday, In the Blood and Love Train are great. Even though not Christmas yet the beatboxer Adam Arranged Do You Hear What I Hear, which will blow your mind.
Thanks for the great reaction! The expression on your face when Adam played the harmonica sound was priceless! I can't wait to see your reactions to the Sing Off! Just remember to watch the ones with judges comments.
What amazed me about this cover was Chance sounding like a mouth harp. Adam's (and Austin when in concert) harmonica (with looping for the drums), and of course Tim's super low notes after his solo. Good reaction, and good to hear about doing their singoff reaction.
Oh, forgot to tell you that in the live show in this song, Austin and Adam actually do a duet of the harmonica in harmony! Blows your mind completely! Talented men.
Glad you finally got to this one. I have seen Home Free and Pentatonix live and they never disappoint. Talent is talent and I love to see talented people no matter the genre of music.
Thank you. In one of your earlier reactions you stated that “music has no color boundaries “! A true statement! These guys have crossed all of the boundaries. It’s fun to watch people think they know what “country” is and see their amazement at these guys. Very strong R & B influences and also some Motown feel while maintaining their country roots! Fun! All off their videos are uplifting or at least very thought provoking. All of these guys are “masters” at their craft. Their blend is amazing and the arrangements are equally amazing!
We may not agree on politics, religion or how fix it all, but musical talent we can all agree on. Thank you for what you do. You make this world a better place.
The expression on your face when you hear Home Face priceless. Which is a reaction in itself, your face is enough to let everyone know what & how you feel about Home Free & their awesome God given talent.
I agree with you, I am beyond baffled, impressed, mindblown, startled, flabbergasted. I was also when I saw them perform this live on stage too. I mean my bottom lip was on the floor, especially with that harmonica sound was coming out of Adam Rupp's mouth, and the Mouth harp or didgeridoo sound in the intro and outro of the song that Chance did.
I always enjoy and appreciate your reactions and commentary. There are countless people on the internet doing reaction videos, and many are entertaining, but that is it. You, and a handful of others, are not simply "entertaining," but you bring so much more to the table. Your respect for and curiosity to explore other genres of music and appreciating artists primarily for their talent and skill is commendable. God bless you and yours.
That was fun to watch. Those guy are full of surprises, for certain and your reactions are entertaining. I love that you are covering such a variety of great music and a full plate with your own music. Just don't burn yourself out .
Thank you very much for another wonderful reaction - I always enjoy watching people who really know music reacting to my favourite singers. I'm very pleased to hear you are planning to react to the Sing Off videos, I think they really do give a good foundation for knowing the group, who they are and where they came from. I'm not going to ask for a specific song, because you've got plenty of requests for music I love, but I do look forward to seeing more Home Free reactions from you.
Fascinating, isn't it?!! Practice, practice, practice!! Like any instrument, I imagine. I've listened to a lot of a capella & these guys take it to a whole other level! And their originals show their writing skills as well!! Their latest album, "Dive Bar Saints", is phenomenal! Check out some of those videos: . Dive Bar Saints . Remember This (co-written by Tim*) . Catch Me If You Can . Dreamer (my favorite!!!) . Take Me Home, Country Roads . Leave This Town . Lonely Girl's World (co-written by Austin*) . What's The World Coming To? (co-written by Tim) All "originals" (except Country Roads) & all absolutely incredible!! You'll love them! Great reaction!!! Thx! *Tim - bass *Austin - high tenor (lead in this video)
Thanks so much for the fun you bring to your comments!! Try to see them live one day to really get the full feel for what they do, seen them live 6 times, cannot wait for another one! Quite the show! Fun, funny, laugh your head off with them and then the music!! Whew! Thanks again.
The second song they do on the Sing-Off, they will show you how they break the song down into individual parts. All of the guys have many talents and can make different sounds. In this one you have Adam (their beat boxer) doing the heavy load, but Chance who was in the back with Adam was doing the Mouth Harp sounds in the beginning and the end. Then you have Rob ( The big bearded guy) doing that little ditty sound towards the end, and the crinkling sounds at the end, too. All of them are amazing vocalists, of course, but as you can see, they are so much more. I'd like to see you react to In The Blood. It's so simple, but packs a real punch. Another festive one is Do You Hear What I hear? Thank you!
I LOVED watching your expression when you realized that ALL the instrumentation and beatboxing is coming from the mouth of ONE man, Adam Rupp. And hearing Tim Foust's deep bass soloing for the first time.
I subscribed. Thanks. I'm going to see home free tomorrow night in the Boston area. I can't wait I've been looking forward to this for months. Keep up the great work.
Great reaction! They’re SO talented. Try to find a live version of this, Adam Rupp & Austin do a “Harmonica” duet in the middle on stage. Adam Chance is also making the Jaw harp in this. Try to find their Live version of “Nine to Five”. All 5 HF members do a Beat Box performance mid way through!! Their studio version is also Great! Enjoy!!
And that is why they are properly called a vocal BAND and not just another a Capella group. Not only the harmonica but you would swear there is a drum kit back there somewhere. Unfortunately they didn't do this one when I saw them live in concert, that would have been a special treat. However, I did get to hear Adam do a fantastic percussion solo. I guess he does one if not every performance then for many of them. There are a lot of them on RUclips but unfortunately most are pretty bad quality fan cam recordings and I don't have a link to a good one handy.
Im a newish Home Fry and I do believe this is my favorite reaction to Man of Constant Sorrow You sound like family. Such similar reactions with such a great vocabulary of descriptive language made me smile as much as the talent described. Thank you for this reaction!!
I am so glad you are going to do the sing off shows and learn what us home frys already know they were great from the start..thank you for this one it is one of the best to show what the can do
Thank you sir now you REALLY get my original comment of not to put these guys in a box I am convinced there is Nothing they cant do if they chose to. Great Reaction sir. I always love when people see this and realize what they just heard just isnt human its another level of special. lol dont sleep on their version of "Mayday" either where both Tim & Chance will kinda blow your mind in a new way.
KILLING IT!! These Guys are so AMAZING and Yes it’s all vocals. Adam Rupp (beatboxed) and Austin Brown (high tenor) diet the harmonicas during LIVE performances!!!🔥🥰✌🏽
I loved your reaction...your face told the story. I just saw them perform this live on Friday. As others have mentioned, they use a looper on stage and live record the jaw harp sound Chance makes. It’s hard on his voice to do it very long. Adan also records some of the beat so he can do all the other sounds he makes. And the harmonica duet that he and Austin do is incredible. They are so talented. I appreciate your perspective as both a singer and a sound engineer/producer....and your interest in the technical aspects as well as the artistic aspects. And the fact you want to learn from them. Thanks
My favorite a Capella group is still Pentatonix as they have exceeded people's expectations and have encouraged other groups to join the a Capella genre, like Home Free did after they did. I'm starting to like Home Free and their uniqueness as well. Nice reaction.
I've been blessed enough to have been in several acapella groups and quartets. I've also sung in bands, but my heart is in acapella. There is so much that the human voice can do, and I've been fortunate enough to sing with some truly amazing talents.
I appreciate your reactions to Home Free. I have been a Home Fry for several years now. I heard one this morning I had not heard them do before please consider reacting to "Cross that Bridge."
Loved your reaction to this video. They truly are amazing and it was enjoyable to see you enjoy it all! Welcome to the Home Frys! Keep up the reactions!
Tim Foust can cover 5 octaves his range is A0 to A5 welcome in joining the fries it's great to have a new member. and Adam the beatboxer is sooooo legit
I have never heard anyone mimic a harmonica as good as 'The Ruppster', and how 'bout those cicadas? And Chance with the jaw harp, I mean, come on! They DON'T HAVE INSTRUMENTS!!!
I am a huge fan of acapella groups, good ones have phenomenal talent. My favorite is Pentatonix, but now that I’ve discovered Home Free, I am in love with them also, they run a really close second. I did happen to see both these groups win their respective seasons on “The Sing Off”. I love your reactions to Home Free, and my opinions are very in line with yours. Have you ever reacted to Pentatonix? There are so many to choose from - “Hallelujah “, “Mary Did You Know?”, “Sounds of Silence “ etc. Lots and lots of people would love a Reaction to Pentatonix! Thanks, Dianne
This is one of the only songs where they use live looping in their shows. They lay each layer out, live on stage, then Adam uses the looping station to keep everything running while they sing it and he does his amazing work as an entire percussion section.
Love your reactions... If you haven't already, please check out "Helplessly Hoping".. just perfect harmonies... and of course, "How Great Thou Art.". Even the scenery is spectacular! Thanks!
Your reaction through all this ahahahahah can't stop laughing. It's truly Amazing I just found out about them I'm speechless as much as you are. God blessed this group. God blessed YOU you are so amazing to watch.
Awesome, isn't it? They are!!!! :) .... Ever so glad you decided to do the SingOff performances (individual performances w/ judges comments are recommended ... oh, lol --- links provided in order with the "End of the Road" reaction). Impressive? YES .... but more so, you'll learn (as we did) which I believe you'll appreciate. Furthermore - you'll witness something great, a transition that amazes us still yet today.............. Honestly, I (many others here too) can't wait to watch this with you! Yes, we've seen it hundreds of times --- but, it never ever gets old; simply phenomenal!!!!
I found home free last night laying in bed not being able to sleep. Decided to switch to my computer for your reaction this morning, and O M G that BASS! Literally melted in my chair. People do yourself a favor, put on good headphones or play on real speakers.
People cannot get that that they are PURELY accapella. STUNNING!
You’re the first reactor that took notice of just how low tim got after his solo. Kudos
I'm a bass singer and jealous of Tim, lmao.
When a Man Loves a Woman (covered by Home Free). It will not disappoint.
Adam Rupp the sound effects guy!!! Harmonica sound is natural from Adam! This song from movie O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU!!! Love it!!! Deeply southern!!’
HOME FREE, what can youy say except they are incredible
They're amazing arent they?? Ear candy at its finest! Cheers!

Love your adjectives.
Lol, it looked Adam (the beatboxer) and Tim (the bass) broke your for a bit in the middle there.
I discovered them late in the game but I just love these guys.
The harmonica is actually the voice of Adam!! SFX guy!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed ur reaction. Try Home Free cover of the Crosby Stills and Nash classic "Helplessly Hoping". Five men in true harmony. No beatbox...just amazing. Yw.
Loving your reaction. The look on your face?...priceless

I've never heard THAT song done THAT way. WOW, I too want more.
You are truly a joy to watch in your reactions of Home Free. I get so tickled at your antics. Please keep up the wonderful work you do. Thank you.
That "harmonica" Player is the best beat boxer I've heard
Sounds like he swallowed a drum kit..
Fascinating, isn't it?!! Practice, practice, practice!! Like any instrument, I imagine. I've listened to a lot of a capella & these guys take it to a whole other level! And their originals show their writing skills as well!!

Love this. I like Pentatonix but love Home Free!
I like PTX, but sometimes they get too.... Inventive / busy with the arrangements.. And don't focus on the song. HF always stresses the song
They did this song live in concert. Even more mind blowing to watch how they each contribute and transition doing different parts.
How's that not playing a harmonica and jaw harp? Wish I could play a harmonica, and that guy does it without a harmonica! LOL
Chase does the jaw harp,he says he’s throats sore at the end!
Tango Jones me too, we all had one when I was at school.all I managed was to nearly knock my front teeth out!
That’s why Home Free has their own freak of nature.
@@cherrymcgregor535 :D!
I LOVED watching your expression when you realized that ALL the instrumentation and beatboxing is coming from the mouth of ONE man, Adam Rupp. And hearing Tim Foust's deep bass soloing for the first time.
Hell yeah awesome reaction
Discombobulated? haha. I think this is my favorite of theirs today.
I subscribed. Thanks. I'm going to see home free tomorrow night in the Boston area. I can't wait I've been looking forward to this for months. Keep up the great work.
Everything they do is so clean, amazing
LOL The look on your face when the harmonica finally kicked in was priceless. Thanks for making me laugh. Great reaction again. Keep them coming.
Great reaction! They’re SO talented. Try to find a live version of this, Adam Rupp & Austin do a “Harmonica” duet in the middle on stage. Adam Chance is also making the Jaw harp in this. Deepest basses (2 --- yes 2) and best beatboxer in the world. AND they ALL can beatbox.
With the holidays coming up you really need to listen to Do You Hear What I Hear....it'll absolutely floor you. How great thou Art is also good.
Thank you for your awesome reaction! These men are superior entertainers!
I hear ya friend, I'm a rock only fan but these guys are above great and I enjoy there music as well ❤👍

A deeply heartfelt reaction. These guys are really on the same upper echelon with Pentatonix.
Okay, subscribed.
Love love love love love!!! Amazing version of this song!
You want to hear Tim really get deep go listen to him and Peter Hollens sing Misty Mountain
Im a newish Home Fry and I do believe this is my favorite reaction to Man of Constant Sorrow

That jaw drop of your is very accurate and fitting. Pretty sure every 1st time listeners have the same face.

I have watched this reaction video so many times. I LOVE watching your reaction to this.
Thank you once again for an amazing reaction.
Yes please.
always love, enjoy and agree with your comments sir! u are truly a delight! God bless and keep up the good work!
Tim Foust can cover 5 octaves his range is A0 to A5 welcome in joining the fries it's great to have a new member. and Adam the beatboxer is sooooo legit
I think the harmonica impression and the Jew's harp impression are 10/10 amazing... some of the best impressions ever bar none...
Those guys SMOKED IT!! Best version of the song I heard yet!!
The original is good too. Good bluegrass country pickin'!
I have never heard anyone mimic a harmonica as good as 'The Ruppster', and how 'bout those cicadas? And Chance with the jaw harp, I mean, come on! They DON'T HAVE INSTRUMENTS!!!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! All the things!!!
Love to see you do a reaction to Adam Rupp from Home free doing his drum solo
May I suggest .
Peter Hollens and Tim Faust
"Misty Mountains"
Tim is the base from Home Free
Christina Boyes oh God yes he has to react to it ... fantastic arrangement
Thanks for turning me on to Home Free, DramaSydETV. I'm here for this party!! 😎
That harmonica is just his voice and hands! Wow amazing!

D!! The reaction your eyes made when you heard the "harmonica" chime in, was priceless. Subscribed my dude!! Keep up the good work
Brother, your in my prayers and I offer you that absolutely there is
So much after this life, follow your heart my friend.
I really like this group so much. It's good to hear other's opinion. Thanks for playing their songs.
That's crazy! No music store in the mountains? No worries... I loved it, thank you!
This is one of the only songs where they use live looping in their shows. They lay each layer out, live on stage, then Adam uses the looping station to keep everything running while they sing it and he does his amazing work as an entire percussion section.
OMG YOU'RE Reaction is priceless, i love it . ty for making a 60 year
old lady laugh
Love your reactions... If you haven't already, please check out "Helplessly Hoping".. just perfect harmonies... and of course, "How Great Thou Art.". Even the scenery is spectacular! Thanks!
Your reaction through all this ahahahahah can't stop laughing. It's truly Amazing I just found out about them I'm speechless as much as you are. God blessed this group. God blessed YOU you are so amazing to watch.
