I really love how this car looks, I’m not sure about the painted rims though, thing will look nice with aftermarket gun metal grey rims. The black would compliment them, also I dig the interior. I see people in the comments saying you’re a rice. In my eyes I see it more as a nice mainly stock car. Only different things outside is the plastidip and the back emblem, and you have some different things in the engine. Nice car bro.

However, I do not have the money to turn it into a drag racer, so looking more for small mods for style/some performance, such as custom shift knob, maybe exhaust, etc. Any advice on making it look/drive nice on a tight budget?
If you're a manual, short throw shifter w/ solid shifter bushings and a shift knob. Footwell LED's are cheap and really easy to install, paint your badges and your wheels. Alloy pedal set, LED's. Check out my Mazda Mods playlist and you can see how to install all these things, you'll also find some really cheap stuff in there too!
Also, and this will probably sound like the dumbest question but I am not car smart so bare with me, but for the exhaust, is it just the end that's custom or the entire piping under the car? And what are the pros and cons of each?
Depends what you mean, if someone says exhaust it could mean different aspects from it. Catback, axle back, etc. The end is just the tip, it does really nothing and is more or less just for style. Unless you bolt a full muffler to the end, then it will change the sound. The piping from the cat and back will change your sound, so for example my exhaust from CorkSport does not have a second catalytic converter, I believe it's just a resonator and a tuned muffler and that's what makes the noise. There are no cons unless you do a custom exhaust and get a really shitty sound from it, but pros it just makes the driving experience a whole lot better.

What LED headlights did you buy? How did you install them? I have aftermarket HID in my 2006 right now, and had to use a spacer for the clip to close correctly. All of the LED kits I have seen don't have room for a spacer.
Bought them a long time ago, from Amazon I believe. It was just a cheap brand but make sure you get the exact bulb your car takes. There is a metal retainer, or clip for example. It takes a long time, took me an hour and a half to get it to stay. I can't say on exactly how to do it but just fiddle around with it

I actually just came across another video of yours where you installed all of the LED interior lights, and the headlights, and you explained in that video what you did to finally get them installed. One thing...have you considered switchback LED lights for your front turn signals? I have some in mine, and love them. I have the type 1 switchbacks, which alternate from white to amber with each cycle, where the type 2 are white, then switch to just flashing amber until the turn signal is turned off, then returns to white. Got them on Amazon last year.

I'd skip the rx8, fanboys would be pissed to read this but they're garbage. They're fun and sporty, especially for what you pay in insurance since it's technically a four door, but they're notoriously unreliable. You will be disappointed, especially if you're on a budget

That trim isn't really meant to be shiny, normally a trim restorer should do the job though

I got it without the cat. I got my Dad to install it lol, he put it on four jacks and did it himself, so I mean I guess you go say it's somewhat easy.

You'll run into issues with an RX8 if you can't afford much just a heads up, Mazda 3's are very low with maintenance.

I think I used Tremclad flat black, you can use Dupli Color black primer and it will be a lot better
in some videos you say 18x8 ET35 and on your video description says et35, so which is it really?
et35 is offset, so unless you just want the offset of the wheel then there you go.
The wheel spec is 18x8.5 et35.

I just updated it a couple times with Vinyl wrap, the A/C rings are painted with Tremclad or something
