And the legs that she's gotten feels like a 1000 knives are being stabbed into her feet as she walks, in order to be a mermaid again she has to kil Erik but she can't do it so she fades away into sea foam. It's a classic story by Hans Christian Andersson, disney just made it a nice story instead. Read up a little before you write things aren't true
