I live 10 miles from cota and we suffered at near 100 degrees for 10 hours during our 2016 imsa/wec daze, thanks for the upload, some of us are serious fans and hate the tv coverage
What a race! Everything endurance racing can, and should, be. Great debut for Merc in GTD. Some heroic driving by Garcia in the Vette. The Taylors get a huge 2 win start in the series, and further cement their reputations as some of the best drivers on the planet. IMSA has great traction moving forward!
Yeah, and there was a legitimate reason for that caution. I'm pretty sure the launch was delayed by 18 minutes or so as well. I was just saying that it was a cool coincidence that a caution was needed during the rocket launch.
they sure know how to put on a show. 12h of great racing and a satellite launch ... I have to wonder is that was really a t-4 minute hold for a caution flag ... great stuff anyway. thanks IMSA and RLM
I wish IMSA would come back to Portland Or. I miss all the summers at the Camel GT then later with ALMS. I live in a city full of bicycle riding nut Jobs so I highly doubt I’ll ever see IMSA again at PIR. I think they wanna turn the track into a Whole Foods.
Great video like always! Could you in future split the last 1hr of the race in a separate video? So for example, this would have a pt3 with the last 1hr and post race. On a smart TV it takes a good 20+minutes to fast forward towards the end as I sadly don't have time to watch 6:30hrs. On a phone is easy to adjust, but not on smart TV's. Thank You! Like always this is the best racing series out there!
to be fair, when they are talking about slowing down for double yellows, it's not entirely the drivers fault, when you are driving at speed like that for a length of time you become velocitised to the speed. They feel like they are going much slower than they are. you experience the same kind of sensation to a lesser degree when driving on the highway for a while then getting off, you feel like you're crawling.
Seeing how many views this video is getting shows the state of sport car racing today. (real trouble) I wish there was a racing series with real cars no of these completely modified cars that have zero in common with their road version. Run what you offer to the public.
Thousands went to the event, fyi. And the fact that *anyone* would watch a 6 hour video (after already watching Part 1, which was also a 6 hour video) is kind of impressive. I wouldn't take too much meaning from the low number. Also, you might be more interested in GT4 (which more races in Europe) and also the Continental Tire Series (similar cars). Those cars are much closer to showroom. Alternatively, there are track days the nation over with actual bone stock cars racing. They...well, gonna be honest, they don't get a lot of people out to the races. But if that's what you want to see, it is there for you.
Then there are the people who watched this elsewhere, and it hasn't been that long since the event. Heck, I missed the first endurance event of the year because it's so incredibly early (Dubai 24h), watched it a couple of weeks ago.
Kelsey James this was a live broadcast on RS2 and IMSA TV. As far as Radio Le Mans are concerned, they have already covered CTSCC so it is perfectly reasonable for them to mention it during WSC broadcasts.
3:58:21 #66 should have been penalized, they just came into the pits, chose not to replace the left mirror then turned into the 2nd place prototype on the left. next pitstop they realized they got away with it and replaced the mirror - didn't take any extra time, was just reckless imo
eXozGaming what you should know by now the guys down at Corvette really don't care anymore. They kicked the GT cars asses many times with old Corvette C7 cars with little changes. What GM focus on most was Cadillac
I love the commentators as they are way better than any other commentating crew, but Garcia is having the run of his life, practically racing blind, passing Fords left and right and there is no coverage of it!!! The director/producer needs to focus on the battles. Why focus on Taylor trying to put two laps on the 31 and running by himself. Fierce battle in GTLM and you skipped it for meaningless prototype coverage. Very European focusing on those spaceships...
yeah thats what i noticed, in gtd there was a 0.236 or second gap between two cars, and the cameras just showed a gtlm car, and when they showed the battle the gap widened

Honestly wish these guys were the ones we heard on the regular broadcast... Excellent job folks, thanks for the video!
Thanks for the upload. Once again IMSA comes through. Bye the bye, the commentary is second to none. Absolutely excellent.
GREAT racing! SUPERB coverage! Thank you IMSA!!!
This race delivered on all promises.

Thanks a bunch IMSA, top notch broadcast for all of us not in the US.
I had a great time at Sebring, I'll see you next year IMSA. You put on a great show and so did the fans haha!
Great Job everyone. Great ,Race and the commentary was superb !

The rocket launch at 3:48:53 was so cool to see. Perfectly timed caution!

amazing job on the booth and in the pit you make the race so much involving congrats
this was the first time i had been to Sebring. and it is easily one of the best experiences of my life :)
cheers for the upload, i missed the last 4 hours.
Thanks for these uploads, from downunder

gtlm class is the most interesting and competitive class in imsa
george piakoulis agreed.

Great race from Vautier!
Great heli shots throughout the race! I was a little disappointed that no one was paying attention to the 62 and the 75 at the end of the race.
Awesome race!
merci IMSA for da quick up ;)
The GTs are amazing!
thanks for the Belgium
Radio LeMans makes it, cheers!
Are others experiencing audio breakup during this replay? Before and after the 2 hour point of the video for me. Otherwise terrific job to all!
Mercedes needs to build GTE competitor, that would be nice addition to quite small GTE field.

I wish there was a Crank It Up thing on restarts so we could really hear the cars.
I don't know why you guys were not more focus on the Prototype and GTLM types ..

Random415510 well IMSA is growing at a successful race. Many won't watch this broadcast having watched the race live or watching highlights.
Stop giving away the winners of the continental tire challenge race in the broadcast please!!!
they do stream the whole race live now at imsa.com

Ford will probably run 4 cars at Le Mans.. Smh. Just for Corvette to take the win! 😎 #C7.R
sadly yes theyll use 4, but only one will win, then your precious corvettes will take 2nd and 3rd
eXozGaming what you should know by now the guys down at Corvette really don't care anymore. They kicked the GT cars asses many times with old Corvette C7 cars with little changes. What GM focus on most was Cadillac
but now they got a problem, ford....and the engine problem
eXozGaming you do know GM doesn't give any cares for Ford wether they win or not .. GM still has a bigger mass of support than Ford.
then why is corvette racing at this point, because they want to win, they dont care about fans over this racing

I agree i came on here to see Garcia winning in the mighty Corvette ..but there wasn't much to see...
yeah thats what i noticed, in gtd there was a 0.236 or second gap between two cars, and the cameras just showed a gtlm car, and when they showed the battle the gap widened
studio7 so did the Vette win ?
yep,sadly
eXozGaming: Whom did you want to win in gtlm then?
Aksidn
PC cars gotta go
