Again many thanks for this video, much appreciated. I watched live but didn't managed to stay awake until the end. Due to you guys I'm starting to get very enthusiastic for this type of racing.
Thank God for the #22 ESM Nissan they drove a great race. Congratulations as well to both the #912 Porsche, and #48 Lambo. It hurts me to see the Mazda put together such a strong effort finally, only to be crushed like they were. Who knows people if this keeps up we might just have something other than a Cadillac win the title this year.
Incredibly fortunate that incident occurred directly in the middle of the shot too. A lot of CCTV videos only get part of the incident, off in the distance. This was almost as if it was set up for it. And watching it happen in real time with the onboard camera was a bit surreal! I'm glad he's ok, but that was quite an experience as a viewer. I don't think race control have any obligation to share their video with TV, so an equally big THANK YOU from another fan! As an afterthought, the CCTV footage really seemed to show the speed and the energy of the impact a lot better than the onboard. Maybe that's from the fish eye lenses they use on onboard cams?
Thank you IMSA for uploading the race. I would like it if you could make the Live Stream available in the US. I live in NY, and was disappointed that once again I had to deal with the inferior FOX Sports broadcast.
P race was great, shame the Acuras hit problems. GTLM - good race, I still say the BMW power was too much, vettes needed more speed somewhere. GTD great as always. Great coverage, GJ IMSA
True story: at PLM last year, I offered a Ford mechanic $100 for a broken piece of the rear panel that had the GT logo on it. He told me no because they slather it in epoxy and graft it back into the panel. Who knew?
The fact that Porsche designed the new RSR to have removable body work probably saved them from going laps down. If the rear diffuser was torn off in a GT car a few years ago, it would have had to gone behind the wall.
This race should have been live streamed or on a channel that would broadcast the majority of it. FOX is not good for this. IMSA needs to dump them and move to a better broadcaster, or move to a streaming service.
was saying this during the race, couldnt be more spot on. Sportscar racing doesn't work well for TV, especially not Fox. The guys on there are ok but not nearly as good as Hindy & Shaw. And sorry but im just not gonna watch commercials. FIA WEC has a good system, maybe they could team up and do a package deal. Call it SportsCarTV
was it ever disclosed why the Cadillac DPi crashed? Imo with the front lights suddenly cutting out I thought something in the front suspension broke and caused havoc (brake disc?). Or it was really just a driver error, distration trying to get the lighst back on
really looked like a driver error, going on the marbles und understeering wide. A broken suspension or punkture he would've noticed when turning in so I doubt that something broke.
@@t04sty46 IMO, most likely driver error. He didn't lose a headlight either. What John thought was a headlight out was simply driving out from under a bright streetlight. You can see from the CCTV video both headlights are on. When John said a headlight went out, my first thought was electric power steering. Do DPi cars have that?
Sounds like our favorite announcer got duped by the 911 and 912 shell game there around the 48' mark. 912 didn't get around 911 on that one, then 912 dropped into the pits.
@@cobrafan427 He is always very distracted. He is his own producer. He runs the audio console himself (often poorly). He has conversations on the side with his mic muted. He needs a producer to take care of all that. He could be a much better commentator if he left all that other stuff to someone else, and we would get better coverage.
Beena Plumber I’m definitely not complaining about him, I actually love him as a commentator. I just always find myself talking to my phone and correcting him for a good part of the race haha. I had no idea he runs all of that stuff by himself
Looking for a Spirit of the Race nominee, how about the Corvette #3 losing all those laps early on and then toughing it out to pass the #66 Ford GT with less than eight minutes to go in the race...

Im not very excited that the wec is coming to america to take advantage of Sebring when they care not about fans. If they want to be cool and not post there races and change dates to the Road America race they can count me out from watching any wec events. IDK if any one else feels this way but the FIA needs to fall off there high horse.
@@f1sherman52 The 12 h of Sebring is an internationally recognized and very elite motorsport event with a long tradition. I don't like it that WEC now has a completely different event that happens to be 12 h at Sebring. I think that will dilute the meaning of the 12 h Sebring championship. There will be twice as many people able to say they are winners of the 12 h of Sebring this year. WEC should have been required to do a different time, like 6 h or 9 h, anything but 12, unless this is strictly a one-off.
@Cole of Slaw O.o Dang, looks like I had a few things all wrong. I don't know how, but I had the idea the WEC race was also a 12 h race. I really am a WEC fan. (My favorite team is actually #98 Dalla Lana with Lauda and Lamy. Yes, an AM team!) I watched every race these past 2 seasons (not bad for someone who's only been a fan since July). And I'm embarrassed because I know I've heard of the Sebring 1000. I just haven't been paying attention I guess. Better go pop another Aricept :-P Oh dang! That's tomorrow!!!
I can't stand even the first 5 min of this guy talking. "He's staying in the center so that must mean he's feeling confident". Right be confident by watching your ass playing defense instead of focusing on your line. I'm so done with this commentary. I'm done with IMSA
Thank you IMSA for putting the full race up on youtube.
2018 12hrs of Sebring is absolutely amazing even nearly six years passed.
Thank you so much for putting every minute of the race on. My only way of seeing it. I really appreciate it and thoroughly enjoy the racing :-)

Much love, respect, admiration to Porsche and Ferrari for always bringing it. Epic!

Endurance racing is the most thrilling motorsport on ordinary circuits by far.
Thank you IMSA for a great race.
Thank you again, IMSA.

What if they did giveaways with the parts of race cars that get broken or changed

Gives it to us? Do you mean a reply? Don't we all want race day live. With live stream they can be in the paddock and with the team's.

I try not to have favorite teams in motorsports because its just not healthy, but I can't help but root for Risi these days
Yes, I agree. RISI !! Also, I do have some favorites- BMW, & Acura, but you have to respect them all for jumping into the game.
Tristan even blocked the safety car when it came out
Acura nsx win pls acura nsx win pls pls pls ACURA NSX WIN!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else notice one of the fords spin tires while on the jacks? Should've been a penalty I think.
I am disliking Cadillac as much as Ferrari.
Where’s part 1??
