Take the train to Peschiera del Garda and explore the "Lago di Garda", the beautiful Lake Garda. The largest lake in Italy.

Wow! This is the kind of place where even the cobblestone streets are in perfect formation, and the local gelato shops have more flavors than you have time to try in a lifetime. Visited Italy to film for our TV show years ago but I haven't really been in this part. I'll probably should consider visiting for my personal goals!

This is fantastic! I love the idea of a calmer exploration and a less touristy stay in the region 🤩 Thanks for sharing this with us!

Verona is an hour from Vicenza. Great history and a fossil treasure trove for the geology/archeology crowd

Again, very good advices. One more quite obvious one is Lago di Garda. Maybe not at tourist high peak, but the scenery and the little towns are definitely nice to see. :)

Thanks for your videos. Why are you so attached to Vicenza? Did you serve in the military there as a young man? :) I also remember nice videos from the past about Vicenza and the Veneto.

Local here. If you’re there in the summer I suggest limone del garda on the garda lake, the sea isn’t so good in veneto but still if you want there’s chioggia which is like a little venice but with cars and lots of beaches (and great cheap seafood), you can stay there the night and enjoy some beach parties in the summer. If you love going to the mountains I suggest asiago, that’s also where they make the famous asiago cheese. Finally I suggest abano terme for its volcanic hot springs, taking the regionale train is one stop before padova and one after monselice.
