Before you enter the game, turn off your internet and connect your controller, after you open the game, turn on your internet and it will work. If you change a setting, you have to do the same thing. Close the game and repeat

You have to turn everything off, quit real racing three as well, and have your controller off, then turn back on your controller, and open real reason three again, and it will work after that, and you can also turn on Wi-Fi, and cellular again. But once you quit the game, you’ll have to start all over turning your Wi-Fi and cellular off, then re-opening your game, if you want to play it like that again
Turning wifi and or cellular network off then controller will work is what I got from this video. Also, the download all assets before turning off the internet connection. If you want to use controller AND be online again what I understand is you have to start from scratch with internet off then connect controller then open game up then turn internet back on again after you see that the controller is working
Can't we play the game by just using the touch controls on the phone? I don't have a controller and would like to play using touch controls on my phone but even after downloading all assets, removing game from recent task list and disabling wifi, the touch controls don't work in the game. The Game asks it, because it wants to download a small part of the all assets for exact race. Check the settings to download all of them. About controllers, if the price of the ps4 or xbox one controller is not comfortable for you, then maybe check the latest model of GameSir or Gamevice(you will have the experience of playing like on Nintendo Switch sort of).

Roy Mendoza it is not useless at the moment, because of the controller issue. If you didn’t download the game assets, the game will download a little part of them before every race, which means that rr3 will depend on your internet connection. So you will not be able to play with Controller.

Since I’m On Ethernet and a “console”. Disabling Wi-Fi won’t do anything. But I’m going to see what happened next. I followed your direction, and I got it to work that way, but I also turned back the Wi-Fi on and went back online, and it worked even after that, but once you close real racing 3 and quit it, and go back on, having your controller on as well, it won’t work, so you have to quit the game, go off-line, and Wi-Fi, and do it all over again, to get it to work again. I’ve wrote many times to the devs over this issue and stated I won’t spend real money till this issue is fixed, and this was in 2019...i redownload it every so often to see if it’s fixed. Knowing this work around I may keep it installed this time but I still refuse to give them money. I feel like there should be an “*” with a statement addressing this known issue on their App Store description but that’s just my opinion

the rr3 files are downloading as the cache files, they don’t appear in app size info in storage. in my opinion, if there’s less than 8-7 gb of free storage on your device, it may offload automatically. This happened to me also and this is a game issue to be fixed.

Check, how much storage is left on your device. If it’s less than approximately 5 gigabytes, the game may erase it’s assets for no reason. That’s what happened to me, when the ipad was low on storage. Check the Download all assets section regularly, because they can be deleted randomly. Also you should play strictly with wifi turned off, so keep in mind that.
Check your device's storage capacity. Sometimes rr3 files are likely to get automatically deleted because they display as cache(unnecessary system files). If so, try to free up some space and check if the game assets are really downloaded. Also, make sure your device does not connect automatically to the cellular network after turning on offline mode.
Of course, mate. Make sure you have installed all game assets and your device doesn't run out of free space because the system is likely to delete the downloaded game files as they load as " system cache".
