@@manugly5278 That does not invalidate the point. Many rappers still say that they write. Every dancehall artiste looks down on "writing". Brilliant people write too. Jay Z, in 2007, said that he had not written lyrics in a decade. That does not mean that he had never written lyrics in his professional career or felt belittled by the act of writing. My point is just that nothing is wrong with writing. No big deal in it at all. It is just an observation.

Writing to me is essencial....I mean not saying that people who do not write don't do impressive song, writing is finding a structure which is why I prefer to write
