On 14th June 1965 it was renamed RABINDRA SETU after the great bengali poet Rabindra Nath Tagore . oh log kolkata ki history nehi jante. Actully 2nd bridge ka naam VIDYASAGAR SETU and the river is HOOGLY RIVER . The GANGA RIVER split into the Padma and the Hoogly near Murshidabad . pad,The Padma River go through the Bangladesh and Hoogly come to Kolkakata.
