Hey from Australia, far out great work. Rollers are hard to get right and they ended looking real good. Tracks in the forests are awesome but can be sketchy. Cheers from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺🇺🇸👌
Great video. Just found your channel. I have a small track probably about 3 acres of level sandy loam. I have to rent equipment to build the track further. Your thoughts on either a bx23 tractor/loader with backhoe or a tracked skid steer? Never thought of needing the hoe but could use it to make elevation changes. Maybe the skid steer could do it as well. Looking for your opinion Thanks
The bx23 will dig very slowly. A tracked skid steer weights about 5 times what a small tractor does. They are far more capable of moving dirt and you’ll get a lot more done. But keep in mind everything takes forever compared to how long you think it will take. So have a plan laid out to maximize your rental hours.
Great video make me sub 190. Just curious how long you guys let your jumps settle or do you have a packing technique? I’m in Canada and have been using clay but when I make the jump it’s kinda soft and as they settle they start to get way smaller. Is there anyway to prevent this?
You need to pack the jump in stages as you build it, we have a how to reface a jump video. You also need to make sure the dirt has some moisture, it won’t pack together if it’s all super dry.
