Another fantastic video!!! The "Trombone Cavalry" sounding very powerful! Great to hear "The Champion" once again! The marches played were, 1) 0:08-With Sword and Lance (Mit Schwert Und Lanze) 2) 3:04-Sons of the Brave 3) 5:22-Machine Gun Guards (Return to Barracks) 4) 6:30-General Mitchell 5) 6:54-Action Front! (Klar Zum Gefecht!) 6) 9:12-The Champion 7) 11:50-The Rising of the Lark We got a mini fly-past by ME at 4:42! 😂😅
Hello to both Clive and Vicky! I was told Lt Col Lauren Petritz-Watts has not left the army as of 2024, she left the Household Division (Welsh Guards) and that's when she was promoted from Major to Lt Col. Now she's to become the Principal Director of Music Royal Corps of Army Music (RCAM), when LT Col Craig Hallet leaves in June. Hopefully this answers where she's been!
A very great video, so amazing as you usually do! A magnificent combination Life Guards and Blues & Royal playing beautiful marches, and the Foot Guards too! A stunning and pleasurable sight, from start to finish! Thank you very much!!
First of all, Thank You for your wonderful videos. I really appreciate them knowing from first hand experience the challenges involved. I videoed all the Guards' changes back in 1998. The device I used was the size of a toaster, but I was the only one videoing - you have much more competition. Now my disappointment: On your last three postings of the Welsh Guards changing Guard at Windsor you only played the first 3-5 seconds of "The Rising of the Lark" the Regimental Quick March of the Welsh Guards. It's the last selection on all three videos and I wish you would've recorded longer - or as long as it is practical. I realize they are moving into an interior court area, but the band (Combined Horse Guards) is still performing, and you can still hear them very well. The Regimental Marches are the musical candy of the Guards and one of the reasons Guards affectinados watch your videos. All I'm asking is 15 - 30 seconds more, please. Thanks again, Nathan in Chicago🇺🇲🇬🇧🏴🇺🇲🇬🇧🏴
Traditionally the Court takes up residence at Windsor Castle for a period centred on Easter. This is referred to as Easter Court. During that period Guard Mounting takes place on the Upper Quadrangle near the royal apartments.
„Mit Schwert und Lanze“ wonderful german march composed by Hermann Starke in the year 1900. This piece of music is better known in England than in Germany - unfortunately. 😢 Well done musicians 👍
