Just want to add, Stray Kids produce and wrote 99% of their songs. They debuted 2 years ago, very young but insanely talented. Different from normal Kpop boy group, they are formed by Chan (leader, Australian) not the company. They can all pretty much dance, rap and sing, (if you get into members a bit more, you will see them switch roles quite frequently). But in general, they are divided into 3 units 3Racha (producer + rap unit): They also have their own unit songs which are also lit (e.g, Matryoshka, Zone) DanceRacha (dance unit) and VocalRacha (vocal unit) Used to be 9 members (3 per unit) but 1 member left, so 8 members now

All groups fall into a generation based on their debut year. So Stray Kids are 4th Gen (2018 debut), then BTS (2013) and Blackpink (2016) are in the 3rd Gen. Although success/popularity isn't a given just because a group is older, they do have more time to hone their skills, build a fanbase and find their group's best concept/style. Some groups gain fans in a slow and steady way (more like SKZ with their non-traditional Kpop style) and others have huge bursts into the spotlight. Yet for BTS it wasn't until 2/3 years after debut that they gained immense popularity and became worldwide famous! In terms of competition: younger/newer groups tend to respect older ones (age - respect, being a big aspect of Korean culture) and they admire their talents the same way we as fans do (often stating XYZ is a reason why they too wanted to become a KPop idol). Most idols give praise to other groups while being humble about their own skills and need to improve for their fans.

NCT Dream and Stray kids did the love shot cover together, NuEst and ACE (or was it somebody else I don't know for sure) did a song performance together. JYP and SM even "trades" trainees (for example Woojin used to be a SM trainee and was a possible nct member before he debuted with stray kids). So it does happen but sadly not really or for official releases :(

I was beyond excited to see our boys and the powerful visuals along with the deep lyrics gets me every time I listen to it. They never fail to impress their fans with outstanding performance and music with every song they’ve done. I know this isn’t their title track but it takes me back to some of their older tracks on top of the connection to their previous Clè albums ‘Miroh’ and ‘Yellow Wood’. 3RACHA remade a cover of their original song “Double Knot”. If you like the hiphop vibe, you should check out the BTS Cypher series. The rapline (RM, J-Hope, and Suga) have a series of cyphers responding to haters. I recommend lyric videos to fully appreciate. Other dope BTS rapline songs: Outro Tear, Ugh, Ddaeng, RM's Joke, Agust D's Daechwita and Agust D. Also, BTS's age is between 23-28. I would also suggest ATEEZ as a rookie group with a hiphop flavor (check out Say My Name, Treasure, Pirate King, Wonderland, and many more amazing songs)

Groups from different companies have done collabs at least for award shows from what I've seen, like BTS and GOT7. And Suga from BTS did a collab with I.U. Now that I think about it, there have been other collabs with artist from different companies, but I'm not sure about whole groups, maybe just individuals from the groups.
9 members...but became 8...all hand picked by group leader Bang Chan (Australian) who trained a long time...says his debut wouldn't have happened without them. And perspectively...it doesn't hurt that they're JYP entertainment (ahhh...what you can't do with a mega label behind you). Seems it was good strategy for Bang Chan to stick it out.
I love SKZ but if you guys are impressed with 9 people, there's a group of Kpop called Seventeen, they have 13 integrants in the group, and they are amazing, they have an amazing synchrony, and the three big companies of Kpop in Korea are SM entertainment, JYP ent. and YG ent.

about kpop artists collaborating, they actually do do collabs between companies, but it’s more rare than collabs between artists inside the same company. because stray kids is JYP entertainment, they hang out a lot with groups like twice and got7, whereas sm could have nct , red velvet, and exo together (those are all groups under jyp/sm respectively).
collaborations between kpop groups are typically through cover performances at award shows and depend on the fan demographic and popularity level and less on the company they come from. for example, members of stray kids (they’re jyp as you know) have done multiple performances with members of nct (they’re a group under sm entertainment)
Sometimes Stray Kids will have the members themselves make a music video for one of their B-sides. You should check out N/S it shows them goofing off and having fun
stray kids ages range around 19 to 22, bts is like 22 to 27. also labels do generally see each other more as competition in the kpop industry, but it's not uncommon to see idols from different labels/groups being close friends or collaborating for stages/songs

BTS is considered 3rd gen Kpop. Starting roughly from 2012 and on. Stray kids is 4th gen together with Ateez and NCT and many other groups. 4th gen Kpop started roughly in 2017. We are at a point when 3rd gen is transitioning to 4th gen. 3rd gen groups like BTS/Blackpink/EXO are still wildly popular will 4th gen is also picking up more momentum.

If you like the hiphop vibe, you should check out the BTS Cypher series. The rapline (RM, J-Hope, and Suga) have a series of cyphers responding to haters. I recommend lyric videos to fully appreciate. Other dope BTS rapline songs: Outro Tear, Ugh, Ddaeng, RM's Joke, Agust D's Daechwita and Agust D. Also, BTS's age is between 23-28.
I would also suggest ATEEZ as a rookie group with a hiphop flavor (check out Say My Name, Treasure, Pirate King, Wonderland, and many more amazing songs)

btw I don't know if you guys already know this but Stray Kids are a group who produce and write all their songs on their own. They have a subunit called 3racha with consists of the leader and the two main rappers and they're the ones who produces the beats and write the lyrics ect
It's also the leader who chose the members not the company, which is pretty unusual for kpop groups
(the leader was basically a trainee for 7 years and the ceo decided to entrust him to pick up the members he wanted to form a group with, and after the leader chose the trainees he wanted to debut with, they went through a survival show so the company will judge is they were all ready to debut or not, and thankfully they all managed to debut together ! )
(one little info though, last year in october one of the members left the group due to personal reasons, so rn they are 8 )

and yea they aren’t allowed to collaborate bc they are in different labels bc of their contracts and the big labels are JYP Entertainment, BIGHIT Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and SM Ent.
Groups from different companies have done collabs at least for award shows from what I've seen, like BTS and GOT7. And Suga from BTS did a collab with I.U. Now that I think about it, there have been other collabs with artist from different companies, but I'm not sure about whole groups, maybe just individuals from the groups.
9 members...but became 8...all hand picked by group leader Bang Chan (Australian) who trained a long time...says his debut wouldn't have happened without them.
And perspectively...it doesn't hurt that they're JYP entertainment (ahhh...what you can't do with a mega label behind you). Seems it was good strategy for Bang Chan to stick it out.
Bts's age range is 27-22 and Stray Kids range from 23-20. You should check out Jackson Wang, Got 7, Jay Park (he is explicit) NCT, Exo, Super M.

about kpop artists collaborating, they actually do do collabs between companies, but it’s more rare than collabs between artists inside the same company. because stray kids is JYP entertainment, they hang out a lot with groups like twice and got7, whereas sm could have nct , red velvet, and exo together (those are all groups under jyp/sm respectively).
Stray Kids has amazing rapping but their vocals are also crazy good. You should check out their song Neverending Story live.

collaborations between kpop groups are typically through cover performances at award shows and depend on the fan demographic and popularity level and less on the company they come from. for example, members of stray kids (they’re jyp as you know) have done multiple performances with members of nct (they’re a group under sm entertainment)
