I think the movement is better in Undisputed but for the most part, the punching animations are better in FNC. For example, FNC has way better jab, straight and uppercuts but the combination punching in Undisputed does look a little better. I believe if they button that up and add little details, this can be a legendary game.
Yup, agree. The punches need to seem more impactful when they land, and hit detection could also use a bit more work. I think that's really the biggest issue the game has right now, if they could just fix that it would be a massive step in the right direction
Undisputed is a great game especially for a beta but they really need to get the knockdowns right. When a fighter gets knocked down, they are always in the middle of the ring even if they get knocked down in a corner. I guess they teleported? Also, having a ref in there breaking up a clinch and separating the fighters or ordering a fighter to the neutral corner when a fighter goes down would be epic.
In Undisputed the player models and movement fluidity are miles better which goes without saying, although I'd love to see a slowmo knockout cam in Undisputed like we have in FNC. Just one example: have the coach or someone on the fighter's team pick them up in celebration, then have the fighter run and climb up on to the corners of the ring.
I agree. I have a sneaky suspicion that they’ve purposely chosen not to include these little details, as they want players in the beta to focus strictly on gameplay. It’s something they’re aware of for sure!
Keep it real Fight Night looks better undisputed graphics looks decent but Fight Nights punches and knockdowns looks more realistic even after all these years in my opinion.
@Gamer D undisputed looks extremely stiff, most punches in the video here I've seen of the punches look really stiff. No force behind them at all. Plus the movement
Graphics go to undisputed. Everything else goes to FNC. The counter window in FNC was done perfectly. The punches in undisputed looks like its missing that pop that FNC has.
That counter window is not a real simulation, or does not replicate real life at all. Fight night is arcade and does a better job replicating a fake game
Can see they've spent a lot of time making the movement look more fluid but after actually getting hands on with the game I have to be honest in my opinion the movement is a bit sluggish. FNC allows you to move forward and quickly step back, Undisputed it almost feels like theres input lag between what you tell your player to do and when they actually do it. I also personally think punches (especially straight ones) could have a bit more weight behind them, don't know if its the hit boxes or animations but the punches feel a bit 'empty'. Definitely a lot of potential in the game but I thi k its gonna be super hard to beat FNC's level of intuity when it comes to controls.
Footwork in undisputed is amazing and the toggle button to change the fluidity of it. Everyone in Fight Night moved the same as one another. People are blinded because they love one game so much
Footwork is definitely more fluid, but if someone punched the way they do in Undisputed, they’d be laughed out of the gym well before they stepped into a ring. Just a nitpick, however, I do think the boxers all stand a little too upright, even in their “tight” form. Footwork doesn’t mean anything though when nothing else is good about the game.

I really hope they polish it up it's still to stiff when they throw and the extensions on the shots are just not all there. It's still a bit robotic. Yes its better then it was but not at the level we thought or that they promised lol. It's sad a game so old can keep up. I mean look at the hooks in fight night they don't vanish through the arms and gloves the arms actually move when touched. The new game the punches somehow go through arms like it's magic. I would also appreciate them making it where when a shot lands we can almost feel it like where things move a bit more not just the skin. But the screen mo e slightly. You want to feel like it connected. All of you hyping it up aren't helping the situation. If you ride there Dicks telling them how fantastic it is then we won't get a truely polished game. We need to tell them all of the flaws we see so they try snd fix it. But they haven't fixed the stiffness since the leaks 8 months ago so I don't expect them to now lol.
Your right, we all want it to be great but there is already blind people who are lying to themselves, they refuse to point out all the flaws and it doesnt help at all, its like they have been so excited to play it they just plain refuse to see its issues and it has alot of them.
For us to be comparing a game that hasn’t came out to a game that came out over 7 or 8 years ago says alot about how great that game was. I was so excited about this game but the game isn’t even close to fight night. Looks to fake punches don’t even land smh
Camera work, ambient lighting, ambient audio, intros/cutscenes, all appears to be better in fight night. Undisputed has better boxer models and details in graphics (of course since its newer). But it still needs so much work.
For everyone talking trash, this game is currently still in beta. That’s not even the final version of it. The final version comes out in October this year.
@@Thithithi39 you clearly can see fight night is better in terms of gameplay this isn't showing the glitches of undisputed or terrible animations, you have boxers doing splits and getting knocked out without getting hit but that's not in the comparison...
Tbh, Undisputed needs a few tweeks and additions to get on par with the stunning presentation of FNC. A more close camera that follows the action and helps with the overall feedbacks (like when you connect a hit or are close to a knockout), better TV/Cinematic rappresentation, and the additions of replays to showcase all that technological goodness. From there they only need to make good carreer and modes. That said, this is an Indie team that is now capable to compete with a major title of 10 years prior, and this is a great achievement.
Tbf as well the punches in fight night would look pretty similar to undisputed (apart from fight nights horrible uppercut) if you took out fight nights camera shake as it makes the impact look more hard hitting
The fact that we comparing a old ass game to a new one just shows they got a lot of work to do on esbc , it should be way more realistic movement in the game
It's not that the punching is missing anything its just that Fight night has the camera shit with big hits that gives the illusion of strength.. it's just arcade racing games having unrealistic blur to display speed vs Gran Turismo more realistic take on speed.
I think Undisputed has massive potential if they can take some ideas from what you see here in FNC it will be so good like if they made the punch animations just a tad more lose make the fighter look like he's putting something behind it especially the uppercuts and show the fighters wearing damage like black eyes and stuff more swelling, cuts ect also a ref in the ring and instant reply alot to work on but will be great if they implement it all I would say loosen the fighters up a bit with punch animation is a must
With all the big fighters nowadays having a grand entrances and elaborate robes and trunks. It would be nice to have a customizable entrance with pyro, lights, entourage etc. and custom clothing options. Just adds to the theatrics of the game of what can happen outside of in-ring gameplay.
People are just looking through nostalgic tinted glasses when they say that Fight Night Champion is better than Undisputed. That's one of my favorite games of all time and even I can admit that it is dated and that undisputed will definitely take the genre above and beyond! 🥊
The replays and everything are alot easier to perfect than the actual boxing system and flow of the movement. I think undisputed for early access is amazing. Obviously alot of work to add on but the foundations are solid to work on.
@MBryy they didnt de evolve this is early access and a smaller studio with leas budget and you can go compare video games to see they have not de evolved its just about budget
The fact the nostalgia got so many people lying about fight night is almost sad. Undisputed is a unfinished sim boxing game. Champion is a arcade finished messed that was good for it’s time. In real life every punch doesn’t have torque on it like fight night, the automatic punch landing is flawed every punch doesn’t land directly where it’s supposed to. Every fighter having the same exact moves out side of 3 just with different skins not realistic. Undisputed is the closest thing the boxing community has gotten to a authentic boxing experience.
One thing Undisputed completely neglects which is what makes the Fight Night punches feel so much more heavy is the CAMERA MOVEMENT. The camera is static no matter what, makes it look like nothing is landing.
the problem is with fight night once an input is pressed both fighters are put in a single tied in animation in order to make the gameplay appear somewhat smooth and make the punches appear to land cleaner. couldn't tell before but once it was pointed out to me i can't miss it now. Very arcade like lol
Exactly. You nailed it. Arcade is the proper way to define it 100% Undisputed will end up being so much more fluid in the end. It's already miles ahead in this aspect as it sits.
Yup! People are really looking through the stalgia colored glasses. Fight Night Champion is one of my favorite games of all time and even I realize how dated it is compared to Undisputed.
@Mider-Span Man Of course it's dated, only silly people would honestly think that fight night still has groundbreaking mechanics. Truth is, it doesn't, it feels exactly like a 10 year old game. Only thing is we don't have anything else to compare Undisputed with since boxing simulator games have been abandoned for quite some time. Of course Fight Night still looks stunning to casual gamers. Most of them still dont own 4k or 8k displays. People still play on 1080p LOL. For them to even to say FNC still plays better than Undisputed is ridiculous. That couldn't be further from the truth, real ones that have played boxing games for a long time know how refined Undisputed is in terms of fluid boxing animations and physics. I have played all fight nights, knockout kings and everything else boxing simulation related. Never got into those cartoony boxing games like Ready 2 Rumble, way too cheesy for me. This game has the most robust animation in a boxing game.
After watching this it seems like not all the animations are bad. But it seems to be robotic when you mix up in footwork and head movement. It also feels slow. Still some work to be done
although undisputed has over a decade on fight night, it is also being developed by a small team with a much smaller budget. itll be interesting to do this again once the game has been fully released if that ever happens.
They they can’t do it right don’t do it at all. They obviously don’t have the resources to make this game as amazing as it should be. Fight night is a decade old and still holds up better then most fighting games these days.

If they add that (but as an option) then the game is good already in my book. Other than that they can release the DEMO now.
@@injest3r574 I agree it’s not supposed to be easy but at the same time it shouldn’t be to complex either. An area where Undisputed is better is how a flash knockdown is not really only related to stamina alone. A good clean devastating power punches from a strong fighter can drop a fighter quick. The knockdown reactions seem more realistic to me in Undisputed.
After playing both, undisputed killed all my hype for it being a fight night killer. Guaranteed everyone is going to go right back once they deal with the shit that I had too. Punches don't track for shit so when someone's starts running it's over. No clinch nor shove no ref in the ring, punches sloppy as hell sometimes I can't tell if they landed or not because they don't move when hit
Tracking is unrealistic. This is a physics based boxing game. Landing the punches are down to you sorry there is no autoaim. Also you can clinch but they just removed it for the beta and they also removed the ref in the ring just for the beta it will be in the final game. The punches have improved alot but they still need work for sure
Punches aren't supposed to track. Do they track in real life? Lol like just close your eyes and throw a shot if you happen to be close and it'll automatically land with a 100% success rate? Haha nah fam. Fight Night Gs got to learn to play a real boxing game and finding the learning curve a little steep that's what's happening.
I agree with everything you said is crazy that Fight Night Champion to me is still a better boxing game and that was PlayStation 3 you would think they'll go all way out for PS5
@@RyanX1899 Okay, let's add hunger to make it more like real life should we? No. The gameplay still needs to have elements in it which make it playable
I guess people like the theatrics in fight night champion better where it looks like a rocky balboa movie. With each punch snapping the head backwards like a bobble head. And the camera shaking makes it look appealing to a casual player that doesnt watch real boxing. Undisputed is more realistic and grounded, but all these fan boys love that video game element fight night has. Where every punch is dramatic. My advice to undisputed is real boxing fans will love this game, casuals will hate it. Keep doing your thing steel city interactive. Day 1 buy for me

Finally see why the punching looks so unsatisfying in Undisputed. The camera shake in the direction of punches trajectory coupled with the slight zoom in is why FN's punches look impactful and just feel more satisfying. Sound design as well. There is also the kinetic movement that seems to be a bit more pronounced in the punching in FN as well. The boxer stance seems to be a bit wider in general in FN and that I believe contributes to why the punch movement looks a bit better. Undisputed's ring movement is dope. That is when I feel like I'm looking at the next great thing. They just seem to stiffen up a bit too much when punches are thrown. I also like the fact that Undisputed has that body ripple. That is nice. If they could some how mix a bit of that FN natural muscle flex in......MY GOD. The combination punching in Undisputed looks more fluid and surprisingly more impactful than FN. The moving punches also look better in Undisputed. Blocking is everything FN used to be back when you could parry punches. Knockdowns are a about the same to me. I think Undisputed needs a little bounce when dudes hit the canvas. Not much, but in some falls it looks a bit too flat. Like the fighter fell into a ring made of memory foam. They look kind of gentle, as if they are being layed down. No head bouncing off of the canvas, or limbs for that matter. Cut scenes need work. Undisputed seems bare, and FN is just old but there is more of a "Team" feel to it. This video actually cheered me up a bit on Undisputed. I wasn't as sold as so many others were, but looking at them in a cleaner head to head gave me some hope. Undisputed is truly a nudge away from excellence if a few things can be smoothed out. Great video!
The punches are overly theatrical in FNC, and Undisputed is a little too rigid. With that being said, Undisputed in moments is head and shoulders above FNC.

@@danielmahon2432 I understand, but considering that FNC is a 2011 game, then I think you can say in some way that the comparison is fair, in any case I will try to make a comparison after October.
Undisputed need to make those flash close ups when the punch is landed,it will make the feeling of landed punch and given damage.Thats It. Just look at the landed punch effect, Undisputed has static camera when they hit, FNC has some flash zoom for a split second.
Undisputed needs to allow the the continuing of the the lock on to the head or the body after you knock someone out so you can continue to punch/pummel after the ko, just like FN did. That was an awesome feature among other features the game needs to include in the final product; also the KO replay.
Undisputed so much better. The punches to the face looks brutal. Fight night champion punches are extremely Exaggerated. No boxers throws their punches like that unless they are going ham on a heavy bag lol. Anybody that thinks FNC punches look better clearly need to watch a boxing match lol FNC was a good game for it’s time but undisputed looks Soo damn better in every way
Things look a little better in undisputed when you are punching a guy standing still. When everything is in motion though and you are actually fighting Fight Night Champion is like 10 times smoother.
After playing undisputed for around 40 hrs, as of now, FNC is wayyyy better. Undisputed heavily favors the outside boxer. In fact, the game punishes you for being aggressive. You can't go in there with boxers like Joe Frazier or Rocky Marciano and expect to win a fight where you bring the heat to the opponent by not letting them breathe; especially against Ali or Tyson Fury. The hit detection and animations get clunky and wonky from input overload and the movement, slipping, and punching isn't as intuitive and as smooth as fight night champion.
Both games deserve credit. With that said, FNC was ahead of its time which makes it legendary. It compares well to a 2022 game considering its age.

People are blinded because they love one game so much
100% true
Footwork is definitely more fluid, but if someone punched the way they do in Undisputed, they’d be laughed out of the gym well before they stepped into a ring. Just a nitpick, however, I do think the boxers all stand a little too upright, even in their “tight” form. Footwork doesn’t mean anything though when nothing else is good about the game.
Cant wait until we get to see a new fight night comparison vs undisputed
You will be an old age pensioner before you see a new fight night. EA don't give a fuck about boxing or you for that matter 🤷🏾♂️

You must be a certain type of stupid to think this moves this stiff. The real gameplay is way too fast paced.
For us to be comparing a game that hasn’t came out to a game that came out over 7 or 8 years ago says alot about how great that game was. I was so excited about this game but the game isn’t even close to fight night. Looks to fake punches don’t even land smh
We need a new fight night.
We need fight night champions on the switch lol
Camera work, ambient lighting, ambient audio, intros/cutscenes, all appears to be better in fight night. Undisputed has better boxer models and details in graphics (of course since its newer). But it still needs so much work.
I noticed camera movement during hard punches maybe they should try a shake effect to make punches seem harder
honestly i kinda like it without shaking, gives it more of a real feel
Yea they should add the option for those who like it. I like when the screen slightly zooms in even on jabs. Makes me feel it more.
For everyone talking trash, this game is currently still in beta. That’s not even the final version of it. The final version comes out in October this year.
needs more atmosphere
and it seems more of a sim than a pick up and play arcade game
The crowd and ringside npcs dont even move or celebrate much
They're charging money for it. You don't get to do that unless the product is good. It isn't.
Only once comparing it I can see that undisputed is a much better game
One of those games is 15years old goofy...
@@tonycruz5643 yes but until I saw this video I thought champion was the better game in every aspect but this made me see that it’s far worse
@@Thithithi39 you clearly can see fight night is better in terms of gameplay this isn't showing the glitches of undisputed or terrible animations, you have boxers doing splits and getting knocked out without getting hit but that's not in the comparison...

Never .
To be honest the blocking system kinda has a Fight Night round 3 feel to it.
Good, because that automatic blocking to the head or body region is wack.
I know the games not finnished but FNC is years old an still looks better overall
👍
👍
It's not that the punching is missing anything its just that Fight night has the camera shit with big hits that gives the illusion of strength.. it's just arcade racing games having unrealistic blur to display speed vs Gran Turismo more realistic take on speed.
Wrong the punches in fight night are driven from hip movement, whereas undisputed is arm punches
I see people giving that game hell, but it's the first one out... Give them time... It's a good base to build on
Fight night still looks better after all these years what a tragedy to not have another fight night from EA sports
I think Undisputed has massive potential if they can take some ideas from what you see here in FNC it will be so good like if they made the punch animations just a tad more lose make the fighter look like he's putting something behind it especially the uppercuts and show the fighters wearing damage like black eyes and stuff more swelling, cuts ect also a ref in the ring and instant reply alot to work on but will be great if they implement it all I would say loosen the fighters up a bit with punch animation is a must
I'm so proud of these independent game devs.
I don’t know why
no one is talking about the audio of undisputed, it sounds so high quality and the echoes are perfect
Punches is way better in fnc
That's what I thought. Fast, impactful
Does the added zoom on impact make it seem so?
looks better in Fight Night, but it feels so much better in Undisputed
Way better bro, all the flashy flash movement and they screwed up the most important thing..
Both look great undisputed needs level changes for the body shots and it’ll be really nice
I would love to throw pucnhes while weaving , sneaky jabs and straights like in fight night champion , man i miss that game.
The replays and everything are alot easier to perfect than the actual boxing system and flow of the movement. I think undisputed for early access is amazing. Obviously alot of work to add on but the foundations are solid to work on.
Undisputed REALLY needs to fix the punch impact. It just looks so strange like there’s no power or impact at all.
Undisputed got alot of work to do
What happened to video games everything devoled
@MBryy they didnt de evolve this is early access and a smaller studio with leas budget and you can go compare video games to see they have not de evolved its just about budget
As of right now, Fight Night Champion is superior in almost every way, except for how it looks and even then FNC isn't that far behind.
Every word you just said, is exactly what ive been saying. Fight night is all theatrics. Not a real fight
truth
One thing Undisputed completely neglects which is what makes the Fight Night punches feel so much more heavy is the CAMERA MOVEMENT. The camera is static no matter what, makes it look like nothing is landing.
the problem is with fight night once an input is pressed both fighters are put in a single tied in animation in order to make the gameplay appear somewhat smooth and make the punches appear to land cleaner. couldn't tell before but once it was pointed out to me i can't miss it now. Very arcade like lol
shut yo ahh🤣
By the time the got it done , EA will already done as well with their new Boxing game. 🤪
They they can’t do it right don’t do it at all. They obviously don’t have the resources to make this game as amazing as it should be. Fight night is a decade old and still holds up better then most fighting games these days.
from wot ive played and seen its just a spamfest you dont need skill to play the game at all only thing undisputed has over fnc is graphics but the graphics are not nxt gen standard in my opinion ,ea should remaster rnd 2,3,4,and champion

Looking at this comparison now I know why I've always wondered why the punches in Undisputed don't feel effective. All it's missing is the screen shake/movement when a punch connects lol. If they add that (but as an option) then the game is good already in my book. Other than that they can release the DEMO now.

I think it's cool, its not supposed to be easy to get up from getting punched in the face
@@injest3r574 I agree it’s not supposed to be easy but at the same time it shouldn’t be to complex either. It’s a video game and I’m sure the non competitive gamers won’t like trying their absolute hardest to get up. I like Fight night champions because it’s about timing and how much heart of the character you’re using.
Undisputed is way better

@@RyanX1899 Okay, let's add hunger to make it more like real life should we? No. The gameplay still needs to have elements in it which make it playable
Also in the world of boxing there is a lot of holding at times. It allows fighters to recover, I did not see any in this video for both games

Undisputed is barley competing with a game that came out 14 years ago in Fight Night Champion by EA Sports lol! I bet EA Sports in 2024-25 would s*** on whoever made Undisputed. Nice try though lol! I thought the punches were way better in FNC before watching this, turns out they’re actually not all that & undisputed actually looks way better in comparison! They only thing I think they need to improve on are the knockouts & flash knockouts they feel really slow sometimes
For its time it was pretty good, still is actually. But undisputed looks far too stiff
Undisputed has a lot of room for improvement to perfection.
All ik is this game better not suck. But from the side by side I’m rolling with FIGHT NIGHT

@@g-force3750 Point taken, but it is still not a fair comparison yet, as a fan of both games I look forward to your follow-up video after October.
The fact that I could barely tell either game apart and one of them was out last decade speaks volumes. 😅
Love the page bro! Keep the great content coming!
Its crazy that we’re even legitimately comparing a game from 10+ years ago to a game that is fairly new. That just shows you how ass undisputed is.
Undisputed punch animation reminds me of FNRD3
Undisputed so much better. The punches to the face looks brutal. Fight night champion punches are extremely Exaggerated. No boxers throws their punches like that unless they are going ham on a heavy bag lol. Anybody that thinks FNC punches look better clearly need to watch a boxing match lol FNC was a good game for it’s time but undisputed looks Soo damn better in every way
Things look a little better in undisputed when you are punching a guy standing still. When everything is in motion though and you are actually fighting Fight Night Champion is like 10 times smoother.
Fight night punches look more fluid and real
Would love to see an updated side by side since the punch animation update that practically just happened
I think they don't give us a new version of the game till the full release on October 11, so I can't before it's happened
FNC punches seemed more impactful which make the KOs and flash kos look way better in FNC. Itll go on the wishlist for now
After playing undisputed for around 40 hrs, as of now, FNC is wayyyy better.
Fight Night was gas, everytime especially when it transition from PS3 to PS4!! 🔥🔥
