This man is a smart performer. He knows that the song is about more than just the singer, so he lets his band and back up singers have their moment rather than just make it all about himself. I respect that
look up who sings "back up" in the original and youll understand why lol theres a relatively recent doc about back up singers. cant remember the name of it but it is fascinating.
Between 1968 and 1972 the Stones were the best rock n roll band in the world. Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main St. Four _perfect_ albums. Wow!
The original by T.R.S has been my alarm tone for the last decade. The song will never get old will be sung by countless generations and I can't wait for the day that I can go back in time and actually watch the song being created.
I think this is the only live performance I would actually pay a lot of money for and be stoked to see! His voice has so much soul and feeling it does something to me! 😌
I grew up listening to The Rolling Stones records that my Dad owned. And when he died, my siblings & I carried on his love of the Stones as we grew up. I too think our Dad would’ve loved this cover. What a mix of blues, soul and Stones 👌🏼
This is one of the best covers i've ever heard. Brilliant singing by Rag'N'Bone Man and backvocals. That Guitarist fucking killed it . and the bass player and everybody ... Amazing job everyone !! Beautiful music ! Stones would be proud .
At first, I was questioning the slow/chill vibe of this and questioning if it would do the original justice.... WOW! I was blown away! His voice is amazing and the transition into the guitar was ELECTRIC! These guys killed it!
had the absolute privileged of seeing this man in Detroit this past summer...can tell you hes just as awesome live as he is in the studio....hope to see him again!!!!
The Live Lounge Allstars - 'Times Like These' video brought me here. His short addition to the vid impressed me so much. What a voice! I'm definitely a fan.
DAMN !!! I love this rendition...always loved The Stones & this is one of my favs, now i'm adding this one to my collection. Thx R&B Man...great talent, great style, great rhythm, great choice, great skill, great gift.
My all-time favorite cover of this song! Love how it introduces new vibes to the tune that I would otherwise never thought of. Not to mention the dynamic contrasts were incredible, and do not even get me started with how amazing that guitar solo was!
30 seconds to mars: stay.. harry styles.. the chain.. and justin beiber.. fast car... and this one by rag n bone mman.. these are my favorites.. and i dont even like harry styles or beiber
Uuuufffffttttt for goodness sake, if he dose end up a phenomenon, this world is disappointing. Absolutely fantastic cover of a legendary song. Fkn hell the guitar 🎸 is red hot 🔥. Love this. 👌
People really don't appreciate how powerful the original of this masterpiece was! And now rag has put his own spin on it, good Lord what a soul this guy has!
@@william1066100 pipe down Mr. PC; he's not wrong. I too thought he was an african american singer when I first heard "human". Now that peggles727 mentioned that he was inspired by Mudy Waters it all makes sense.
Would love to know who everyone is in the band. The backup singers nailed it, and the lead guitar player and the band tore it up as well. One of the best covers I have seen.
This song is heavier than most know. This song came out before the general public knew of the horrors of Vietnam. The Stones had their fingers on the pulse. Mary Clayton, the female vocalist who sings the high part was confused as to why she was singing “rape, murder.” When reports of Vietnam came out she finally understood
He's got an amazing voice, I love the Rolling Stones, and it's not a bad cover at all.. Not all Stones fans will agree but I guess it's each man to his own
I keep coming back to this, such a magnificient performance by an incredibly talented group of people... and that roar at 3:17!! By far the best cover of this song, IMO... breathing new life into an iconic song.

Gimme shelter is without a doubt my favourite song ever written, and this man done it his own way and I appreciate that!
My all time favourite song too .. I agree this is a great cover 👌

This song will never lose its relevance and should be sung by every generation
Absolute truth in that!
Very relevant right now.

Youre right. Especially with what's happening now 🌏💔🙏
Probably the best piece of guitar you will see in the radio one live lounge for a long time. Which is deeply depressing.
I find myself coming back to hear this occassionally, powerful every time
I think this is the only live performance I would actually pay a lot of money for and be stoked to see! His voice has so much soul and feeling it does something to me! 😌
I,m a stones fan.I,ve never heard this before.I take my hat off to you rag and bone man what a performance a masterpiece.
i swear to god i never get tired of this no matter how many times i come back and watch it.
The power of music - when it makes you think of and remember those you've lost. My Dad would have absolutely *loved* this.

Love watching him perform live! You can tell music is more than just a job to him, it's a passion and he puts his all into it.
One of my very fave Stones song and this is just perfection. Everything works here: arrangement, playing, chorus and of course that mammoth voice. Wow
The guitarists are phenomenal
That guitar solo is tasty
J snazzy 🎶
got nothing on keith though
I believe that's pronounced "Keef" ;-)

Professional grade musicians sounding epic, Rory doesn't know any other way, masterclass! Loved it.
This literally gives me chills when I listen to him sing. Hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I get that shiver up and down my spine.

This is soo good. Blending the original with his sound so perfectly.
He's like a vocal Mida : everything his voice touches turn into gold
One of the most beautiful songs on earth. A truly MASTERPIECE by the Stones featuring the incredibile voice of Merry Clayton.
Great rendition.
That guitar solo 🔥
OH. MY. GOD. This is definitely the best cover I've ever heard
Totally love this singer. Amazing singer and love his music.
Smashed it.....that guitar solo though! Great cover
The song was fantastic... Then the guitar solo just frikkin blew me away. Holy shit.
I did not think that someone could make a good cover of that song...until I listened to THIS. Simply amazing.
Their synced movements gave me goosebumps.
I love His voice! So powerful
Can’t believe this isn’t on Spotify
2 yrs later. Still not available.
One of the best covers ever. I'd love to hear a 6-7min version live!
Absolutely did justice to the stones. I will never be able to get over how amazing this cover is.
Great. Not only the voice, but the arrangement does the song modern justice, too. Well done!

Rag n Bone Man rock! I recently "discovered" them and just can't get enough of them! Keep up the awesome music!
Omg...I can't thank this man enough, his music reminds me of my father who took his life 6 years ago
Brilliant voice.
I want to go live in the live lounge, just a never ending stream of epic performances.

I LOVE THIS COVER SO MUCH.
Anytime ya forget about this man.... he mysteriously appears to blow one's mind.
Its what it is.
...I'm only human.
He owns that like Jagger. Enormous talent he and his band have.
Regardless of his ethnicity or musical influences, the brother just flat out SINGS 👌🏾
That was great. Really captured the ominous nature of the lyrics, and put a modern spin on things. This'd be perfect in a movie.
Rory, you have so much presence, what a gift, thank you for giving from your heart !!!!
When that thing gets rolling, note the smiles on the faces of the band.
What a performance! Goosebumps!!
One hell of a cover. Simply exceptional.
Love the way he teases it …… then a bit more - then FULL RAG afterward - nite x….. ‘it’s just a kiss away’

I would buy this omg. I love this guy so much - completely got me into listening to modern music again.
Guitarist is bang on
Love his voice, got so much soul behind it, had the whole studio fucking poppin too.
Guitarist is Matt Allen for anyone who is wondering
I wasn't. (Joking)
The other guitarist is Richard Hughes (www.richhughesguitar.com/)
Man that guy can play and the drummer is great
The beginning is massive !!! Cheers and thanks from Czech Republic !
Absolutely stunning
This dude is from England...sounds like hes a black man from the deep south USA
if you watch him in interviews he says he taught himself to sing by listening to Muddy Waters records.
