    Very interesting scenario. If I managed to get a "Traitorous" in the future, I could use this as a reference.

    Thank you for the video, especially referencing the application of Rule 8.12.1. For future videos, can you also say the number of the rule (ex: "Comprehensive Rule 8.12.1 says") and cite the date of the video and/or the version of the rulebook upon the first citation of rules (ex: "as of May 24, 2024, Rule 6.14.B states..." OR "In Comprehensive Rules v 1.1, Rule 6.14.B"). Explicitly stating the rule # will make you sound more authoritative, and stating the date and/or rule version will help address confusion should the rulebook change.
    Please continue with this series!

      Thanks for watching and for your feedback! Up till today it didn't occur to me that at some point rules might be updated/altered so you are right, I should include mention of the day of recording. Will also make sure I read the number of the rule, just to make it easier for people to search for it in the rulebook!

    This was well done, love seeing these scenarios as it reduces that amount of time we have to bring up or mull over the rules when they do come up!

      Glad you liked it! Despite the Comprehensive rules being available, I think there's a lot of similar scenarios that cause friction between players.

    Everything in the text box applies to the controller of the card. If in the future theres a card that say "look at opponents hand and gain control of one of those cards" then you play it and do what says in the text box. If there's also a card that says "gain control of opponent's resource" then you put that enemy resource to your resource pool and if you have a Lando unit (from set1) you may grab it and play it. Gaining control is absolute. If they want to restrict something to owners only then it will be specified in the text box just like the Lando leader (from set2) where it says "Play a card using Smuggle. It costs 2 resource less. Defeat a resource you OWN and CONTROL." There it specifically says OWN so you could not defeat a SLT unit-turned-resource you stole from your opponent via Traitorous.

      Hadn't thought about the Lando scenario, nice one!

    It would be nice if FFG would just include this interaction as one of their examples to explain 8.12.1.

    I have a tricky question.
    What is Sabine's ability would damage each base when both bases are at 1hp. Is it a draw?

    • @Oneidos_Gaming
      @Oneidos_Gaming  Месяц назад

      Hey, thanks for your comment!
      Yes, it is considered a draw, according to rule:
      5.6.3. In a case where both players’ bases reach 0 remaining HP at the same time, the game ends in a draw.

    Could us play NGTMD on a exhausted unit?

    • @Oneidos_Gaming
      @Oneidos_Gaming  28 дней назад +1

      Thanks for a great question! Yes, you can. The only requirement for you to play an event is you being able to pay its cost, unless another requirement is explicitly specified by the card.

    • @ShinraTensei96
      @ShinraTensei96 28 дней назад

      Thank you for your answer! But my question not fully resolved. Ok I can play it paying is cost, but the effect of ngmt is resolved? I can t exhaust a unit that is just exhaust.. is similar to pay 7 playing u wing reinforcement and if u don t find a unit under 7 cost, u can t play any unit.. so if u don t have any unit to exhaust u can resolve the 2nd effect of NGTMD on a already exhausted unit?

    • @Oneidos_Gaming
      @Oneidos_Gaming  28 дней назад

      @@ShinraTensei96 Yes, playing NGTMD on an already exhausted unit will in fact have it's "secondary effect" applied, preventing the unit from readying for the rest of the round (including regroup phase)
