@@randomuser-nt9if if you don’t want that, then don’t go to the concert that do that simple solution and no she shouldn’t cater to a certain group bc they go to her shows she is in charge of her music and all her music is about sex. I'd take my kids but I'm also informed and aware of the content on the album and therefore, what the content of the show will likely be and I'm ok with it. I'm not going to take them then complain because I didn't do my homework
@@kieshapreston1251ew 🤢 her concert is not meant for kids at all.. it doesn’t help she infantilize herself. She gives me the ick. Like a female version of drake
it's the same with youtubers.. parents blame celebs and influential figures for 'messing up' young kids, but who's in charge of the content they consume?? the parents! literally most lyrics in short n sweet are very suggestive, and if parents take their children to her show thats on them... its the parents job to know what they're exposing them to lol. it isn't sabrina's job to parent children and make sure content is appropriate... its the parents job lmao
These musicians are on fortnite and tiktok all these teen games. They know exactly what they're doing Like onision It's all creepy Stop acting slow What adult wants to see that? Weird ones.
Preach, this just teaches us to be BETTER parents when we have kids, atleast for the ones who want to be parents, ya know? Like these parents are so entitled, my parents were like this too. They always took me to movies that were just so inappropriate & I kept telling them I never wanted to go but they never listened to me. Yeah some parents also don't listen to their kids when their kids tell them "hey this makes me feel uncomfortable" it really is the parents fault.
I’ve been having this conversation at X but that exactly my point… there’s PLENTY of kid related content that you can take your kids to, parent just hate to admit that they hate kids media.
I'm 36...when i was young we had Britney's slave 4 u and Christina's dirty era. Hello?! This sexually explicit girl pop has been around forever. It's just fun music ya'll, enjoy it or don't.
@@envenomedsiren it is disgusting. Brittney was literally getting pimped out as young girl for the masses by greedy evil people and yall think that’s iconic 🤨
Misogyny also plays a huge part in it bc Ross Lynch was on Disney not too long ago and he plays live shows where he takes his shirt off and gyrates in the air but you don’t see people be like “put your shirt back on!!! Oh think of the children!!!” Towards him. It’s only a problem when a woman does it
You can’t compare Ross lynch’s stardom with Sabrina’s though. The more you’re in the limelight the more you’re scrutinised. I appreciate the focus on misogyny but let’s pick a better example I think like drake or something
@@cowboylikeme854although they can’t be compared in terms of fame, they can be in the sense that people argue sabrina’s fans majorly consist of those who watched her on disney, as most of ross lynch’s fans are those who have watched him on disney.
I remember a clip where it was a lady Gaga performance in Las Vegas and she was being sexy. She told the audience “If you brought your kids here it’s not my fault what do you expect” or something along those lines. That applies here too like she’s not hiding what types of performances she does so that’s on the adults not Sabrina. It’s her show she can do whatever she wants.
I was going to mention that exact clip. Like the fact she even had to say that at a VEGAS RESIDENCY, like Vegas is SIN CITY, it's not gonna be kid appropriate!
It was something like "idk what about 'Lady Gaga in Vegas' made you think it was appropriate for children" after leaning over and showing her ass to the crowd lmao
Why can’t parents just parent their children 😂 the internet should not be parenting your kid. Take the time to make sure something is appropriate for YOUR KID???
@@lez4630 Wait how is she catering to teens tho? She literally has said in multiple interviews "I love that I grew up with my fans. My older albums related to us when we were younger and now being adults the music evolved to what it is today." Like bro as a Sabrina fan since DAY 1 when she was on Disney this is so true. Please send proof on what you mean cause I'm so confused? I even watched an old clip where she was covering a song that had the word "sex" in it and she didn't even want to say that word because she was way younger in that clip :/ SHE SINGS FOR HER FANS SHE GREW UP WITH NOT TEENS. She can't control if a teen stumbles upon one of her songs...so no she's doesn't cater to teens but feel free to send proof
No kids should not be exposed to sexual things at a young age because it’s gonna influence them to act out what they see but it’s the parents fault for that not Sabrina
She is not a Disney channel star anymore she's a young adult so she's going to behave how a young adult is going to behave and if you bring your kids into stuff like that that is 100% on you
@@RainySkies-05 she is grown and can do what she wants, no one cares if you would do it or not, that’s your choice. Same goes for her. I don’t see how anyone wouldn’t know what to expect, I’m not even a fan of hers and I know what her shows are like and lyrics.

Yes, rock concerts usually have age restriction. Pop artists can do for their explicit concerts too. Saying the show isnt for kids but still allowing them to get into concerts when they can set a rule for this, makes the artists responsible on their part. Cuz kids can get tickets without their parents permission too
@@jessxyz Half of her new album has explicit songs ... nothing she does is actually R rated, so why forbid kids to go. They don't get half of what the double entendres or the positions anyway but parents can't be mad at them when they can literally look up her lyrics or last year's tour.
"There are no pop stars for little girls to look up to nowadays"??? Britney Spears was HIGHLY sexualized, the only difference nowadays is that the pop stars are doing it themselves and taking the power back.
Agreed and because of the media scrutiny Britney got it caused her to have a breakdown I hope that doesn’t happen to Sabrina and she has good people around her who aren’t going to exploit her for financial gain she’s very successful right now already on tour crazy
Demi lovato, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina carpenter. They don’t stay kids forever. If you’re not paying attention to what your kids consume then that’s on you. Not the artist.
Agreed but I hope they aren’t trying to exploit Sabrina and she has good people around her and she’s in control of what she does don’t forget Britney Spears
I said it once I’ll say it again, taking a child to see Sabrina is the equivalency of taking a child to see Madonna or Brittney Spears in their prime. Your fault not the artists.
@@WhosTheMorleylet’s hope Sabrina isn’t being exploited and she has good people around her and she’s in control of what she does and I hope fame doesn’t change her and make her go crazy like they did to Britney Spears
It's wild how so many parents will out right say basically "I neglect my child and their interest the majority of the time so I have no idea what's going on and I expect society to pick up the slack." And the whole "where are the females role models for young girls to look up to." THATS YOU HOMIE. You the parents are the role models.
so strange how the artist that markets herself in a more sexual and adult way needs to not perform a single song or do her poses anymore because parents decided to bring their kids to her concerts. it’s disgusting that a 25 year old woman has to be responsible for parents deciding to buy their kids tickets to her shows. ITS THE PARENTS JOB TO MONITOR WHAT THEIR KIDS WATCH, I’m sickened how they just want to slut shame her. she’s allowed to create music and visuals made for certain audiences, watch what your 10 year old consumes.
4:25 if you’re expecting celebrities to be role models, especially one for kids, you’re the one who’s got the wrong line of thinking here😭 You will never know who these people are in their personal life, they’re not role models and never should have had that role put onto them by the public.
@@PopCultureKing2009Umm she did. Gave a warning and everything. It's not her responsibility. What parent doesn't listen to the music before bringing their kid to a show? That's crazy putting the responsibility on an artist that has every right to make and put out whatever music she wants or feels like. Doesn't make any sense. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. They are the literal parent. Act like it. Don't get surprised and get angry when there are lyrics not meant for children. It was your job to vent the music before coming. It's not Sabrina's job or responsibility to censor her art. She's an adult and can put out the music she wants to.
here's a crazy concept.....teach your kids not to idolize celebrities and BE their role models. surround them with people who will do the same. why does everyone blame celebs for not being a role model for their kids? it makes no sense and is a little unsettling to me. Play age appropriate music and move on.
Has anybody seen her LAST tour?? Bet U Wanna walked so Juno could run !! She’s been not kid friendly for a couple years now. Her Disney contract has been up for yearsss now ! Let the girl live !
The comparison of Sabrina/Olivia to Ross Lynch/Jake Paul shattered a huge glass for me. NO ONE batted an eye when ross showed up in that troye sivan video, but when the girls wanna play sleepover and spin the bottle, it's blasphemy. Letting boys be boys, or even growing with them, but shocking, we hate to see women blossom amd mature.
Why are so many parents too lazy to pay attention to the content they are showing their kids? The artists are not secretive in the mature themes yet these parents somehow live with their heads in the sand and then get outraged. It’s like all the parents that flipped about Deadpool when it came out because they didn’t even bother to look at the movie’s ratings and were horrified by the graphic violence and strong adult humor.
Parents love pretending that they're simply too busy to check for these things, but in reality, they're just lazy and negligent. I remember the huge controversy over parents finding out that Grand Theft Auto wasn't just some cute little racing game, even though it says on the box that it's a very violent game not at all intended for children. Instead of just coming to terms with that, they tried fucking banning it from retailers. Ridiculous
Blame the parents. Sabrina carpenter is not Taylor Swift. Sabrina lyrics are full of adult content. Just because she wears a lot of cute outfits, wears a lot of pink, and sparkles in her shows. What parent would think that it was a good idea to take their child to her shows. Parents need to make better parental choices when it comes to kid friendly concerts.
@denisehagwood4542 it's not weird. What's weird is that you have a 30-something yr old Taylor Swift still singing to preteens & teenagers. I like Sabrina's adult music. Sabrina's grown and she owns it.
People thinking you should be able to take kids absolutely everywhere is hilarious to me. If you’re taking your kid to a performance, you ALWAYS check out the ratings and info on who’s it’s for. Don’t bring them and get mad cause there was adult content.
Honestly, Sabrina didn't do anything wrong. it's the parents thinking she's still a Disney star and is still pg when she has grown out of the Disney stage. All the kids that grew up with her are now like 20-25 grown like her. It's YOUR responsibility as the PARENT to do your recearch on celebrity's/artist that your children are interested in.
She is literally a grown woman she can express herself however she wants. We need to stop having this double standard for male and female male artists at the end of the day it's just music and if you don't liken them don't listen to them. Point. Blank. Period.
kids cannot and shouldn't go everywhere they want, the parent needs to make sure they supervise how they raise their children very well - that's kind of the whole point of parenting, you're supposed to curate your children's experiences so that they have good sense - not trying to mute the world into what you want it to be. that won't work
Do they not think young boys also deserve good role models? Why is it only the responsibility of female performers. Your boys r off listening to playboi carti and watching fresh and fit let’s be so ffr
As a parent, I always hated the "BuT wHaT AbOuT tHe ChiLdReN" comments. She is a grown woman who sings songs for adults. I don't understand why we feel that just because someone was on Disney AS A KID, then they have to be PG forever. She's like 25. She even puts explicit content warnings on her stuff. It is YOUR job as a parent to monitor what your children watch and listen to. If something is not meant for kids, I'm not letting my kids watch or listen to it. Explicit music has ALWAYS been a thing. Britney Spears had "Slave 4 U" when I was a kid. Christina Aguilera is literally referred to as "X-tina". This isn't a new concept.
lol no more pop stars to look up to is such a crazy argument 🤣 Britney, I’m a slave for you. Spice Girls, two become one. Christina, dirty. Mariah, touch my body. Like y’all, this ain’t new. People need to take some friggin responsibility as parents.
I get that this isn’t for kids, but i grew up listening to Rihanna sing about sex and everything went above my head and i just liked the tunes. A kid wont recognize any of Sabrinas dance moves or see them as sexual unless their parents let them watch sexual content. She literally blew up after the eras tour and was making dirty jokes
I watched a lot of anime and songs in my youngers days ,decided to rewatcg some of them as a older preteen ,I noticed a lot of thin clothing ,awkward scenes, plotlines and stuff generally i didn't notice .some which I simply carried on rewatching ,some shows I couldn't stand watching again .my experience pls keep a 100 percent watch on what your kid is watching and control their media .
Yeahhh like the raunchiness is not my cup of tea but I ain't out here saying a grown woman shouldn't sing about what she wants then take my kids there and complain😂
Why do parents want public figures to raise their kids?! It’s your job as a parent to monitor the content your child engages with. It’s crazy to expect a 25 year old to only produce G/PG content
I feel like Sabrina isn't really to blame for this because she doesn't market herself or her music to kids at all. It's on the parents to look into her music before taking them to her show.
The problem is there are all these women that are being sex positive and society can't take it! If it was a male artist it wouldn't be an issue.. js. Chappel Roan, Sabrina, Olivia, I want my future girls to have that kind of positivity.
Imma quote what beyonce said "I am not the babysitter im.not the parent I don't raise children I feel like the parents should do that" parents hold yourself accountable because you decided that you was gonna let your kid or kids go to the show without taking the time to listen to the album
I’m getting really tired of society (pop stars, rock stars, actors, artists, influencers, drag queens etc…) having to be responsible for parents jobs. If you don’t want your child to be read to by a drag queen don’t bring them to a reading drag queen! This is a very simple solution. Same thing with seeing a pop stars etc… please stop blaming everyone else for your responsibilities…
Sigh. They just shouldn’t allow kids in the door. Can’t trust parents to do their due diligence, so just don’t let them in. Then these inattentive parents can’t complain. And yes, I have children myself. But for real, yes, Sabrina isn’t for kids. MOST entertainment isn’t for kids. People need to calm down. Like what year is this??? Why are we STILL shaming women for being grown???
I agree. I’m so tired of seeing this discourse online. Like maybe be more present in your kids lives and listen to the songs they’re playing instead of complaining later that the concert was too inappropriate. Just cause someone’s a Disney start, doesn’t mean they have to stay one. And not everyone needs to do a radical change like Miley to prove that they’re no longer a Disney kid. When you quit Disney, you should be allowed to stop being a Disney kid.
Parents should be the role models, not celebrities. Stop blaming everything on everyone else and be an adult, and the role model you want for your children. I grew up with Madona and she makes all these artists look like prunes, yet my mom was my role model and I was a very angelic until college. Stop trying to be your children’s bestie, save that for when your children turn 25.
My sister who has a 10 year old texted me the other day sayed my niece wanted a Sabrina carpenter album for Christmas and asked if I've heard of her and if it was a appropriate i said absolutely not a lot of her songs are NOT for her. She said okay and moved on and got taylor swift instead lol I have 3 kids myself how do to not google or at least LISTEN to a song before you go with your kid 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
It’s literally parents responsibility not to take their kids to 16+ or 18+ places. If you brought your kid to a strip club, would you blame the strippers for performing there???
In general parents take their kids to places where they can numb out while their kid is distracted. And I say this is a mom. The amount of former mom friends I had to break away from because they just want to be on their phones and have other ppl or things raise their kids is infuriating. Want a child’s role model, YOU SHOUlD BE YOUR CHILDS ROLE MODEL. But not many parents want to lead by example, but by exception.
I literally can't stand parents who do this. I went to see Snow the Product in NYC a few months ago, I love her and it was my first time seeing her live. I know from watching videos she usually sprays the crowd with champagne and crowd surfs and I was super excited because this was a smaller venue and more up close and personal but someone had a kid like right up front. She even asked her security to move them before she sprayed the champagne and the mom was like no, its fine! And snow said no, it's definitely not. I have kids too, I just don't get why someone would bring a kid to that show.
When i was growing up, if an album had any cuss words stronger than "hell" or "sucks," i wasnt listening to it. My mother wasnt buying it, and if i convinced someone else to buy it for me she was taking it. She was a single mother working 80-100 hour weeks as a doctor, and if she found time to vet the media i was consuming these parents can definitely do it. There are so many more tools to help with stuff like that now than there were back them too...i swear some people just don't ever want to take accountability.
The outrage imo is a by product of all the right wing trad wife culture where woman aren't meant to show their spicy side or be remotely confident. People shaming women for *gasp* being ... Corny are self reporting.
This has been going on since the beginning of time and has happened to nearly every woman popstar. "there's no pop stars for little girls to look up to anymore" Excuse me but thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. If you google list of pop stars there is not ONE person on that list that does not sing about explicit content.
No, it’s not dumb. So many black women from Lil’ Kim, Megan Thee Stallion, and sexxy redd gets criticised for doing the same thing that she’s doing. But yet for whatever reason (which let’s be real we all know why), Sabrina Carpenter gets praised.
The controversy isn't dumb, yes what you said is true but this isn't about race it's about refusing to believe that child srars grow up. Lil Kim and Megan were never child stars so people never expected them to cater to kids.
The adult who bought the concert tickets for their kids should have listened to the damn music before they decided to go, period! She's been spicy for years and this is HER show and she can be as explicit as she wants.
Whooooo said this woman catered to an audience of kids??! It’s very obvious it’s not meant for children, but because she dresses in pastels she’s supposed to be Ms. Rachel?! Gtffff I don’t even listen to her music but I’m soooo confused why people are taking their children to her concerts!!
When I went to one of her concerts in Connecticut, there were literally children there and they were dressing in lingerie like what? It’s definitely not Sabrina’s fault it’s the parents
POV from a mom, of course we don’t want our child/children to grow up… but we must accept that TIME will continue on and little innocent human beings will grow up no matter what. That being said, that shall be the same as for all Disney pop stars. If you don’t want your kids around the , ‘grown up’ version of their favorite pop star, then keep your Disney pop stars on repeat at the age your kids fell in love with. Sick and tired of ignorant parents so fast to point and blame everyone else BUT themselves🙄. Grow and glow Sabrina, you have every right to.
Just because Sabrina is a female pop figure DOES NOT MEAN she needs to act like or cater to kids. Not all media is for everyone and every age group. It is a parents responsibility to check these things out before allowing their children to attend. She is an adult making music for adults. If you don't like it, find someone else to listen to. Sabrina Carpenter is an AMAZING example to young girls. She had a successful career as a child actor and GREW UP to become an amazing, confident, sexually empowered woman. You could, I dont know, use words to explain this to your kids... but that would be too hard.
What i also dont get, as someone from europe is the mindset "we need to protect our kids from such poses (even tho she has clothes on) and lyrics, but hey here's a gun for my 8 y/o kid".
America was founded by Puritans (highly conservative, misogynistic Christian extremists unopposed to violence as a means to an end, certain of their own righteousness, they didn't like being told what to do by governments and were basically kicked out of Europe for being *the worst* which is kind of saying something in the sociopolitical and religious environment of the 1600s). Guns were essentially what allowed said Puritans (plus white Europeans in general) to colonize/settle, declare themselves an independent country, ☆~manifest destiny~☆ the living shit out of and eventually wholly subjugate and develop a really fricken' BIG land mass in a historically-speaking VERY short amount of time. (This country isn't even 300 years old. Compare that to say, England, from whence we first spawned as a colony...) (Fun fact: Victorian England and the cowboys+Indians "Wild West" of America were going on at the SAME TIME.) So yeah, basically the "woman/sex bad, god+guns good" was literally there from day 1 and has just gotten messier over time... 🙄😓💀
I don't know but those are the double standards of the industry, sadly. I'm a Justin Bieber fan. I went to both Believe and Purpose Tour being 12 and 15 respectively, the show was full of girls my age and he was taking of his shirt, grabbing his part on certain choreos, doing sexy dances (watch the no pressure performance) and no one complained. If you don't want your child to see sexy-explicit stuff, is your responsibility to not take them to the show, not the artist's.
Parents, have you listened to the songs on her album? They are not suitable for children at all. "Bed Chem" literally left me speechless when I first heard it, and I'm 29. I believe it's important to vet artists before letting your kids engage with their content. If children are exposed to inappropriate themes or dances, it’s your responsibility. Just my opinion!
if you are older.. and you’re uncomfortable just don’t interact with sabrina?? like honestly people love to complain about not liking something but its literally in their control to see it or not.
She’s no longer a child but she’s singing about “JUNO”a 16 year old child who was impregnated. Stop trying to defend her. I used to love her/ Her early stuff was great but she’s so cringe now.
And that’s her choice it’s her music and performances she works incredibly hard to put out there she can do whatever she wants don’t watch the videos if you don’t like it
@ .. I’m taking about IN GENERAL. As I just said. Not just her. I actually like her music and listen to her. The over the top sexualization in general is corny in Hollywood IN MY OPINION. and even if I didn’t like her what does it matter to you? If you can say you like her, then if I did dislike her, I could say that too. You know you can have a normal conversation with people without getting unnecessarily angry.
Your job is to be a parent and role model for your children; it's not an entertainer's responsibility to raise or be a role model for your child. If you can't be bothered to listen to the lyrics and understand that there are adult themes, that's a 'you problem,' and you're the one who failed your child, NOT the entertainer. So many parents are so quick to blame others for their lack of supervision and parenting. That's not anyone else's job but theirs!
Aren't you the same people who bring your kids to drag strip clubs and pride parades, do you even care about kids being kids and not being exposed to sex?
DEAR PARENTS IT’S NOT anyone but your responsibility to raise your kids and to teach them morals, values and ethics no one else not a celebrity not a teacher not an influencer friend family anything like that your responsibility.
Thank you, I find it so uncomfortable. Tbh I know a lot of women who have dealt with SA and the hyper-sexualization is triggering, especially when Sabrina dresses so young and innocent. It makes me super uncomfortable for those reasons.
Fr it’s so annoying like did you even LISTEN to the music like it’s SO explicit so the shows not for kids obv. Also Sabrina is an adult she can do whatever she wants it would have been concerning if she was still a teen, she does NOT have to appeal to children. Just insane about the things how people act about things like this. Edit: also the role models they can look up to, like, Taylor swift, or Selena Gomez!
If a man did this, no one would bat an eye if a beloved male artist did this. Songs can disrespect woman and no one cares. But because she's embracing schmexuality, people are freaking out. Ridiculous.
Madonna exists. She was on stage rolling around on live tv. Britney exists. I guess the people having kids that grew up watching artists have mysteriously forgotten the content. This is such old news in different era.
Ok people Let's not repeat the Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera era. We know that they were not treated kindly. Just because they became adults, & expressed it. Then The Justin Timberlakes of that era, were allow to grow up, & praise for it. I thought we recognize we were wrong for it. Can we learn from past mistakes?? Just an opinion & question
I'm a parent to a 16 year old. We listen to Sabrina. But I have one rule - she doesn't sing the lyrics because its for adults. I straight up told her that some songs are written by adults and are for adults, and that's how music is. I was an adult before I realized a LOT of the songs I listened to as a teen were actually very very much adult lol. Basically, it is the parents' responsibility to parent their child. They WILL come across Sab's music because of the internet, let's face it that's the truth. You can't protect them from seeing/watching/listening to things, but it is the parents' responsibility to be able to have the proper conversations with them.
Your so right, if they are saying that the show is inappropriate for there kids then they shouldn’t let there kids see it or watch it! It’s as simple as that .
Parents neglecting to do their due diligence on what they allow their kids to view is on them. If they want a positive role model so bad, maybe they should be the example 🤷🏻♀️
So much of Gen Z is so prudish and conservative compared to my generation. It’s like whiplash. I’m a mid-millennial and we were laughing at our boomer parents for being prudes haha. Although so many elder-Millennials are becoming the people they laughed at and that makes me sad.
i feel like parents don't realize they shouldn't take their kids just because their kids enjoy the songs and dont understand. as a kid i loves rihanna but clearly her songs were in appropriate. i didn't know what they meant but my mom did. if she had taken me to a rihanna concert and criticized rihanna for dressing a certain way or doing certain moves, people wouldn't be mad at rihanna they would be mad at my mom bc cmon it's SO OBVIOUS the songs are FOR ADULTS not kids!!!
She has been doing explicit shows for years. If a parent can't listen to the lyrics before paying for tickets for their child to see a show, that's on them. This isn't new news that she does these things. But people are just now in shock at the one pose from the last show 😂 she's an adult. She is doing nothing different than any other celebrity that grew up. She's on fire and I hope her flame continues to burn on the haters.
when woman is growing up people will always find a way to say something about it but when a grown men does it they stay quiet like clock work honestly.
As a parent I still don't understand why any parent would even WANT to bring their kid to a concert unless it's a concert specifically for kids (like Disney on Ice or something). And even then it's not much fun
This isnt anything new. Over the decades people have always had issues with performers or even instruments. Let me tell you, the saxophone has a crazy history. "The Vatican banned the saxophone in 1914 because of its association with sexually suggestive dance moves and its sound, which some considered "profane""
It’s so sad, there is a total lack of good kids creators/musicians. I learned this watching the last couple kids choice awards…. None of those artists are FOR kids. There is kids music. But it’s kiddy kid music. Not like good/catchy music that parents can get down to but has a good and pure message for youth and sadly not a lot of artists care to really cater to or uphold that type of cleaner image for kids in that way, it doesn’t sell the same.
That's the thing! Idc so much about the lyrics and the meaning because most kids don't even understand them, but *being aware* that kids are at your concert and still doing all this..? It's not misogyny it's straight up common sense (And all of this is completely unnecessary, even artists with "vulgar" concepts just wear skimpy outfits but it's more abt the performance than doing something explicit for shock value)
Hate to break it to you, but kids over the age of 5 generally don't like music with a "good and pure message for youth." I think a lot of y'all forget what you were like when you were children. You weren't in 2nd grade listening to "good and pure music with a pure message" unless your parents were super religious. When I was 7, all my friends were listening to 50 Cent and Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce, none of whom make music for kids. But we loved it and being exposed to it didn't fuck us up the way y'all think it does. Trust me, your kids have way worse things to deal with than hearing some swear words in a song or seeing a pop star be sexy onstage
@cityboy2092 I agree with you completely. I also just feel like we used to have more artists for that in between kid and teenager phase with people like Hannah Montana, Raven Simon, the cheetah girls, the HSM cast, even stuff like Naked Brothers Band. There were more options for that middle phase that was still cool but not kiddy, ya know? Of course we listened to black eyed peas and stuff like that (my dad actually took my CD away when he heard me singing “my humps” in my room 😂 and we weren’t really religious or anything) but now it’s either something like the wiggles/gracies corner or something like Megan the stallion/sabrina carpenter. Not a lot of adult role models for the younger crew or older kids making decent music that’s age appropriate. And the kids lost JoJo Siwa recently 💀😂 I work with kids age 6-13 for a living and it’s just something I’ve noticed over the years.
@@soichangedmyusername almost of her songs are about fucking. What is she supposed to do for her concert? Sing one song while standing still in a muumuu and then leave after fans pay 100s for tickets? Why is it her fault dumbass parents aren’t paying attention to what their kids are listening to and getting upset when the horny lady starts saying and doing horny things? It’s not common sense to let your kid listen to explicitly raunchy music. I remember singing S&M and my parents put a full stop to it. Had no idea what Rihanna was singing about then, but my parents still understood it was inappropriate for me to listen to and sing even though I didn’t understand it.

Im so sick of censorship when it comes to certain things like im 24 years old i want all of the dirty jokes and cursy words

I went to the concert in LA and there were so many kids. I saw some parents upset and I was like that's your fault not hers.
It’s not Sabrina’s job to parent the children that attend her concerts
Whooooo said this woman catered to an audience of kids??! It’s very obvious it’s not meant for children, but because she dresses in pastels she’s supposed to be Ms. Rachel?! Gtffff I don’t even listen to her music but I’m soooo confused why people are taking their children to her concerts!!
When I went to one of her concerts in Connecticut, there were literally children there and they were dressing in lingerie like what? It’s definitely not Sabrina’s fault it’s the parents
POV from a mom,
of course we don’t want our
child/children to grow up… but we must accept that TIME will continue on and little innocent human beings will grow up no matter what.
Compare that to say, England, from whence we first spawned as a colony...) (Fun fact: Victorian England and the cowboys+Indians "Wild West" of America were going on at the SAME TIME.)
So yeah, basically the "woman/sex bad, god+guns good" was literally there from day 1 and has just gotten messier over time...
Next people will be shocked that their kids can’t go on OF because it’s just not safe! Everything needs to be PG for my precious babies!
if you are older.. and you’re uncomfortable just don’t interact with sabrina?? like honestly people love to complain about not liking something but its literally in their control to see it or not.
It’s like parents letting their kids watch South Park and shows like that…what do you expect!? lol
She’s no longer a child but she’s singing about “JUNO”a 16 year old child who was impregnated. Stop trying to defend her. I used to love her/ Her early stuff was great but she’s so cringe now.
Based on a 2007 movie starring Elliot Page and Michael Cera.
It’s not her problem to censor herself for other ppls kids going to her concerts BUT the sex stuff in general is so over the top and corny imo

People are sensitive nowadays! Tf 🙄💀
Period
Except I think this is more a religious right feeling like they can voice their conservative beliefs and everyone should fall in line
Right!😂
@@Plantblisswhat makes you assume it’s a religious right and of conservative belief?
Your job is to be a parent and role model for your children; it's not an entertainer's responsibility to raise or be a role model for your child. If you can't be bothered to listen to the lyrics and understand that there are adult themes, that's a 'you problem,' and you're the one who failed your child, NOT the entertainer. So many parents are so quick to blame others for their lack of supervision and parenting. That's not anyone else's job but theirs!
Aren't you the same people who bring your kids to drag strip clubs and pride parades, do you even care about kids being kids and not being exposed to sex?
These are the parents to buy their kids a R rated movie ticket or a M rated game and complain it’s not child friendly.
DEAR PARENTS IT’S NOT anyone but your responsibility to raise your kids and to teach them morals, values and ethics no one else not a celebrity not a teacher not an influencer friend family anything like that your responsibility.
how about we get rid of all the sex crap all together? coming from a 20y/o female.
Thank you, I find it so uncomfortable. Tbh I know a lot of women who have dealt with SA and the hyper-sexualization is triggering, especially when Sabrina dresses so young and innocent. It makes me super uncomfortable for those reasons.
Agreed.
Sabrina, they could never make me hate you 💋❤️
Fr it’s so annoying like did you even LISTEN to the music like it’s SO explicit so the shows not for kids obv.
Ridiculous.
She does diff sex poses in her concerts, why would parents think "oh perfect let me bring my child?!" 🙃
I remember mom's saying it was weird Jojo Siwa was still making stuff for kids as a teen/adult... So damned if u do damned if u don't.
Agreed
They use sayings like “boys will be boys” to justify it too 😅
the fact that no man has been called out is crazy to me but multiple women pop artists have
I have seen guys get outraged. Stop saying that people only get outraged at women.
@@TheCoolJavelin7 they don’t get as much as women do
@@glibglobyt exactly like it just another excuse for them to be a dick
The concert is for 18+ and older
As a parent I still don't understand why any parent would even WANT to bring their kid to a concert unless it's a concert specifically for kids (like Disney on Ice or something). And even then it's not much fun
This isnt anything new. Over the decades people have always had issues with performers or even instruments. Let me tell you, the saxophone has a crazy history. "The Vatican banned the saxophone in 1914 because of its association with sexually suggestive dance moves and its sound, which some considered "profane""
It’s so sad, there is a total lack of good kids creators/musicians. I learned this watching the last couple
kids choice awards….
It's not misogyny it's straight up common sense
(And all of this is completely unnecessary, even artists with "vulgar" concepts just wear skimpy outfits but it's more abt the performance than doing something explicit for shock value)
The lost of child safe spaces is a big issue, but that doesn’t mean children can take over adult spaces.
