Does this approach result in me being able to program my STM32F103C8xx "Bluepill" with STM32CubeIDE and genuine ST-Link V2 or is it only for Arduino type projects? I have three of these ST-Link V2 clones and not one of them works with STM32CubeIDE or STM32CubeProgrammer.
I 've seen, on Cube you can define in Debug a procedure to flash the device to use the same program the bootloader / arduino package offers. Run > Debug Configuration > C++ Application > Main > C++ Application > [command to flash] [arguments]
@@richard_wenner Probably not. I only see using Serial Adapter (Tx-A10 + Rx-A9), but nothing when using STLink v2. Need to do anything else with the STLink v2 before Uploading the Blink program from Arduino IDE at 2:04
Yep - I get the same result. Arduino fails to upload and it is looking for a com port. In my case the bootloader itself seems to be the problem as on completion of the install via STM32 programmer, the green LED (PC13) flashes very fast continuously (almost looks like it is continually lit fast). Stuck with using the STLink V2.
Same here but on MacOS. I get "Failed uploading: no upload port provided" and the only available port is Bluetooth-incoming-port. UPDATE: I managed it to work and MacOS/Arduino IDE see the virtual USB.

Absolute newbie here. If I am using a STLinkV2 instead of a Serial adapter, what should I do at 1:15 in the video ? (Using Blue Pill)
Have you understood the complete video - with both options?

@@jonathanlau7521 You just have to ensure that you select the correct output to target. I think everything else should be set for you. Good luck.
Who are you and what have you done to Richard?
Just did this to store the reference.
Please give the links in the description.
Sorry I don't know where this stuff is any more
i see no links in the description, only an option to see a transcript!.
Sorry health issues intervened.
@@richard_wenner can you fix it now then?.
Hello! My Arduino IDE doesn't have HIDBOTTLOADER, what should I do?
Which version are you using?
@@richard_wenner 2.2.1
sir , can you make this video with blackpill version? thank you
I'll put it on the list to be looked at but I'm currently snowed under with requests and productions. Sorry.

oh bruh you just need to upload a blink sketch using arduino ide
@@Reyhank45 Arduino IDE just errors trying to upload anything to it including the blink sketch.

Wonderful!
Hi,. nice video but where are the links?
I'd forgotten all about this sorry. I'll try to go back and look but am really busy at the moment. Apologies.
@@richard_wenner Thx. I typed it in by hand anyways.
@@vogel431 Thanks for letting me know. (Clears one thing from my ToDo list). Best of luck.
Champion !
Thanks
waste of time as no links been over a year and still not fixed so a thumbs down!.
