I was JUST talking to my husband last night about how having a sincere relationship with the Lord requires full discipline. Just as you would be disciplined in your work, or anything else you want to accomplish, the relationship you have with Jesus needs full discipline and obedience. God is constantly speaking through you two in every season of my life I’m going through, especially in my marriage. Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you BOTH as a vessel for His good work! I recently read the book “Set Adrift “ by Sean McDowell, and he pointed out the potential dangers of the“Deconstruction “ of what a person believes about the Lord and His Word, trying to determine what they believe. The danger of that as McDowell points out, so many deconstruct themselves out of their faith, if that faith was in fact genuine to begin with.

I love the example of attending the gym to set goals and to show commitment. I think if you spend that much money that you make the commitment, set physical goals and be consistent. Just as you would set spiritual goals. I would love to be able to attend the Gym 3 times a week for 12 months but cost is out of reach for me. Therefore, I walk daily to look after my physical and mental health and hope to fit in 1-2 days a week when I gain employment.
It does not matter what label is assigned... there are only two classes of people: those who are lost and those who are saved. Within those who are saved, the bible divide them into carnal or spiritual. Every Christian begins their walk with Christ as a carnal Christian (1 Corinthians 3:1-3). Regardless of the place a Christian is spiritually, they are sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30). Paul states to follow him as he follows Christ (1 Corinthians 4:16; 11:1; Phillipians 3:17). We are in the age of grace. Grace is only found in John (the gospel), Acts 9 - 28, & Paul's epistles: Romans through Philemon. Even so, come, Lord Jesus Rev 22:20 KJV
