Becca, you nailed SLU and St. Louis. As for the Metro system, the best advice I have as a native St. Louisan is to be smart. It's almost always safe during the day and during big events downtown (i.e. Cards/Blues games, VP Fair, parades, Komen Race for the Cure, etc)
Stlweather man have u been on the cta in Chicago, there is not a day when I don’t see a shady ass mf on there.Been to St. Louis and honestly ur transportations not that bad. But after living in Chicago for a while you get used to the people on public transport
so I’m from N. Ireland so when you originally announced you were going to UCD i was like wow that’s so cool, now I’m finishing up my study abroad year where I’ve been at Missouri State University, so we are once again we are like 3 hours away from each other but in completely different places haha I just think it’s kinda funny in like a weird way so wanted to share lol
i love your channel. i just applied for SLU and i’m excited. ive lived here my whole life and hearing someone actually know it in and out is so cool. ugh i’m so excited i hope i get in💖
i’m big late but if you’re talking about u of iowa, it’s more like 3.5-4ish hrs away ! i live in stl & go to a boarding school right next to Iowa City so i have made the trip far too many times. that being said, still not a horrible distance. you can take Trailways buses to/from and the ride is about 6hrs long, which is a little long but definitely not awful as far as bus rides often go. just in case anyone lives near/wants to maintain a connection to Iowa City while living in stl! :)
This was really helpful! I'm from India and I'm planning to apply to slu. Can you please let me know how it is for International students (is there discrimination? is it hard to make friends? can we be comfortable? are there many/any student(s) from India? :)
Hi I’m so glad to hear you’re thinking about applying to SLU. Unfortunately I cannot speak on behalf of the international students as I myself never went through the experiences that they went through.
hey becca! ive been looking at slu for a while now, and this video really helped. would you say that slu is a driving campus? you said it would be easier to have a car but is that just for going off campus? thanks!
if a lot of the bars around your school closed it is probably becuse their prices were ridiulously high and they were ripping you off. that is probably why you did not frequent them. you can always find a bar in st louis. it is a beer town. i should know i was born here and i am now 76 years old. i am also an alumnus of slu.all restaurants have bars, just go to a restaurant and have a drink. thank you.

Are the beliefs of Roman Catholicism permeated throughout the curriculum?
In one of my theology classes taught by a nun, she denied the resurrection. She's since passed away.
