- Hello friends and happy Friday! I've tried a different kind of art style for today's video. I've been in awe of those artists that can see shapes in their backgrounds and just create some freaking awesome art from it, and so I wanted to try it out. I hope I don't sound to crazy in this, but I had emotions. lot's of them.
Here are some of the artists that I've been following trying to figure out how to best go about the process and please do go check them out and maybe give them a follow, if you like!

Wow..beautiful..thanks for sharing
You're very welcome!
Thank you for the most unique painting video I’ve seen! Most videos talk about the technical aspects of painting, but I had never seen one touch on the emotional side...the ups, downs, small setbacks, and big triumphs. I can’t tell you how much I connected with this. I admire you for stepping out of your comfort zone and sharing your intimate thoughts and feelings about the process. BTW, the piece is fantastic and made me want to duck into this secret garden for a bit! Be well!
I love this!!
I understand what you are going through as I am experiencing it myself and have let go of the traditional methods and end my art with neurographic lines and abstract designs
Creating abstract comes from your soul and your own intuition. You do it very well…thank you for sharing your beautiful art!
I understand completely what you are saying about abstract being more difficult than you think. I love what you did and thanks for the voiceover. As Denise Love says Be Brave!! I feel the same way but keep Being Brave!
It's beautiful
Fairyland is the best description for yours and Elise’s pieces of art.
"nothing against toadstools". I love that! You definitely can't force things 😍
I absolutely love it Bettina, more especially knowing the anx (is that a word?!) that went into it! ❤
It was such a journey 🙈😆 I think it totally surprised me having all these emotions, haha!
That was magical to watch
Aww, thank you so much!
So happy to hear that abstract is challenging. It is. Copying the real world is less exciting!
Right? It's crazy of people to say "I could do that!" But when you're actually sitting down to start, just to feel totally overwhelmed! And getting the right composition so it looks balanced is not easy! Thank you for your comment ❤️
@28:××
The neurographic benefit comes thru in the frustration you expressed.
Neurographic art for working thru a struggle in the mind.
My goodness, that makes sense! Thank you for pointing that out Cat! 🙏🏻
I love this. I love watching other artists struggle a little. It’s challenging and you let that come through. Making you more human. I like your voice. You’re not loud and annoying like a few others on RUclips. I like your voice better than the text because I prefer watching what you’re doing to reading and trying to watch. You’re one of my favorites on a very short list. Keep being you 💙🦋
I like seeing the process as well, and hearing the person's point of view during. I'm getting better at the whole voice over thing. I find my voice weird, so I appreciate your feedback of it not being annoying, haha! I hope you'll find my other videos just as fun. Thank you for watching 💕
I love love love it!
Thank you Jeannie!
Sharing your inner dialogue as you make your way through the painting is so encouraging and inspirational. I admire your humility and courage. So glad I found you
Thank you so much! It's scary to put your feelings out there for everyone to see, even if it's "just" about art. But I've gotten so many encouraging comments, including yours, that help me make more commentary style videos. 💕
I found your channel today and loved it this painting made me want to subscribe. I also love that you talk us through your thought process
Aww, thank you so much! I hope you'll enjoy my other videos as well.
💖💖💖
Whew!! That was a journey but in the end you have a fantastic piece.
Oh boy! So many ups and downs, haha!
Just found this painting I love it I wish you would do more of this kind of thing. It’s great listening to your struggles and your thoughts. Thank you for a great video
Thank you, I will try to make more of these. They take a long time to create sometimes, and I really have to be in the mood for it, but I will do another one for sure!
The finished piece is amazing - all that you went thru to get there in the end.
Congratulations.
It was very emotional, haha!
I love this style. I try this myself. Sometimes good, sometimes not,,, lol. This is awesome!
It's so challenging! I've realized I have to take breaks from it, as it really gives my brain quite the workout! Glad you enjoyed watching ❤️
Thank you so much Bettina I really really enjoyed watching you create this very very different piece. And I think it’s something that will grow on me as I look at it. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
It may have been one your first pieces with this technique, but it is my Favorite! GREAT JOB & BEAUTIFUL WORK! You're inspiring me to try this! Thank you! ❣️👏
Thank you so much! I really want to do another one some time. Hopefully soon.
Watching you paint this piece was very relaxing. I don't know if I can challenge myself and try a similar piece. The stress moments you discuss I understand. I think sometime in the future I'll know when to try it. After all I think it's more about the process than the end result. Thank you for taking us on this journey.
It was an experience, haha!
The first piece could have fooled me. It is beautiful. Just love the color pallet you used. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who gets stressed with something that should bring joy. I so often don't know when to stop "correcting " and more than a few pieces get tossed in a box with unfinished work or just tossed in the trash. After watching this video, seeing and hearing how you felt and kept going has brought me to a place where I will keep on till I'm happy.
Thank you for letting us in on this process.
Bettina ,your new style of painting is beautiful. It was great fun to watch you develop the painting into something quite amazing. Thank You for sharing.
Thank you Linda! I'm ready to tackle the other three pages now that I've calmed down, haha! Wish me luck! 🤞🏻
Oh, Bettina! I cannot tell you how wonderful, inspiring, funny, and how much learning there was for me in listening to your process unfold and watching this piece come to life. I'm so grateful for how you shared your inner dialogue while creating, and have no doubt that I will listen again and again. The struggle you so generously made a part of this video is simply priceless, for perhaps anyone...as a complete beginner, it showed me the way. How to jump in and enjoy the struggle. Bless you. Grateful, excited new subscriber! 🙏❤🙏
Thank you for this comment. My feelings also.
Everything you said about abstract so rang true…Bravo for sticking with it came out really really nice!
Thank you! I'm glad you all get me, because sometimes I feel silly having these feelings about art. It's nice to find like-minded people ❤️
@@_bettina_fernandez_ totally agree and continue making commentary please..enjoy it immensely
Fantastic. Omg. I love this. Sorry you had some trauma...hope you can breathe now and do another one!
At the beginning, I thought that it was your mother in law pissing you off. But no, it is just simply an energy thrust. You're inspiring and you do beautiful and awesome stuff in your paintings. Love you!
Haha, I don't remember all the details of this video, but I'm happy to say my MIL and I have a very good relationship. I think it was merely my inexperience coming through, but who knows! 😆
Love it. Thank you.
I love it !! And it was really interesting and relaxing to watch your creative process 🙂
Yay! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing your progress, emotions and struggle with this wonderful piece of art 🌸
I love abstract art.
Your inspiration for change seems a natural evolution of your art.
Stop stressing, great work! Such a great eye and talent!
I absolutely loved every minute of this B, thankyou 💙💜💚
Aww, thank you Jill!
Thank you so much Bettina. I know now how to just keep on going.
This is the type of art I’m working on, I love watching the process! Beautiful work you do here. I do have to put pieces away and bring them back out a later day.
It was so real what you said about the feeling when you start the process come to something good then adding and feeling frustrated and then coming back to it. Wow it is a wonderful creation you have done here. I love it.
Oof! It was quite the journey, haha! Sometimes I'm surprised how art makes me feel during the process of creating it. It's exciting and also a bit scary! Thank you for watching!
With this process you have to get past the ugly stages by adding layers until you find the joy
Oh, I agree. It was my first time trying out this technique, so there was a lot of doubting myself.
Bonjour,
C'est magnifique 😍, étant débutante dans l'aquarelle j'espère arriver à ce résultat après des mois de pratique je pense !😅
Merci beaucoup! Apologies for the English response: Keep at it! with every piece we create, we learn and get better! Much love ❤️
This turned out fantastic
Amazing 😍
Thanks so much!
This method was presented to me by Louise Fletchers taste class that I finished last week.
I don't know her, but will try and look her up!
You’re so right about it being tough! I’m recovering from brain surgery …. 2 months ago. I’m fidgety and in lots of pain so neurographic art seems to help. Already did 5 of them. I’m a psychologist taking time off work to focus on healing myself. Beeeutiful job ❤❤❤❤!
Aww, I'm glad to hear it's helping you. I wish you a speedy and full recovery ❤️💕
I love what you are doing. I love what you are saying. I am also on a journey with my art and you are right, it is challenging and yet so rewarding to see how it unfolds. Thank you for this video. ❤
Thank you so much 🙏🏻💕
Love it Would love more
I love this! And yes, Elise is incredibly talented!
Thank you!
I love every aspect of it. It's just beautiful!
So happy to hear you liked it! Thank you!
yes yes yes... !
💕
One of your best
Love it!
I've watched your video and I totally understand your point about getting inspiration from other artists and wanting to adopt things. But what I really missed was the fun of painting. Not always thinking about any rules. There are no rules in art, at least not in abstract art. Everything is allowed. I would like to recommend you to visit Denise Love. You may not like what she does, but the way she approaches and thinks about creating art is great. It helps me loosen up. Accepting things and not painting with the thought of having to create the great masterpiece. Thank you for your video❤
Hi! Thank you so much for your comment. I just recently found Denise and subscribed to her channel, because her style definitely vibes with mine, and I love her process. When I created this piece it was my first time approaching it the way I did, so I was super nervous. This was quite a while ago, and with every painting I create, I'm getting better at letting go and just enjoy the process. I'm a creative person, but I can also be a little type A in my life. I think this is why painting and creating is such a good exercise for me. It teaches me to let go of perfectionism and the feeling of having to "compete" (mostly with myself) and just enjoy being in the moment. I love the feel of balance I'm creating for my life. And I hope that my videos help others see that sometimes the process of creation can be filled with struggles and is not always smooth sailing. But I also love that I'm being reminded by people like you , who leave me comment that it's okay and to not feel like there are rules to abide by when painting 😊 So thank you for that reminder and I hope you'll be back to watch me grow 🙏🏻
I think you should be commended for sticking with this piece despite your frustrations. I have so many abandoned pictures because I got to the ‘ugly stage’ and gave up instead of working through it. Also, never apologise for showing us your process, or for changing genres. We as viewers, are privileged to be allowed to share your journey - whatever direction you take.
I have long been a subscriber to Maria Grossbaum - love her work. I imagine you are aware of another artist whose work I love to follow, but just in case you’re not, here’s a link to one of her videos - ruclips.net/video/Uw8tYil--bg/видео.html
Thank you so much for your comment! It means a lot to me. I don't always stick with a project, but I was determined to make this one work :) Also, thank you for the link to Gabrielle's channel! I discovered her early last year, when I was exploring neurographic art and have been subscribed to her ever since. I love her work! ❤️
Thanks for the running commentary, nice to know the unsurity (?) plagues even someone as talented as you.
