I spoke to a DFW airport cop. He said They get about a dozen calls a week with firearms in TSA without declaring. In Texas it's not against the law to accidentally go through TSA with a fire arm. The cops will take down your information. Secure your firearm and have you secured in your vehicle. Tsa will find you. It's a civil fine. It's a $3,000 fine but if you pay the fine in 6 months they drop it down to $1,500 fine.
