Yes, income of 1M per hectare is attainable. Per hectare you can plant 2,000 hills tissue cultured seedlings. Per plant it can yield around 25kilos to 35 kilos @30 farmgate price ...total income is 1.5M po gross income. Take note: farmgate price can go as low as 19-20pesos per kilo and it can go as high @40pesos per kilo. You have to know the fertilization schedules, pesticides management. And fertilizer to spray from flowering to harvesting of fruits. I would suggest to apply every month fertilizer. Do not over apply fertilizer, it will harm the soil and become acidic. When the soil become acidic, you will encounter a lot of problems like onset of viruses, Moco and Pnama wilt, fungus and blight. AgaIn, warning farming is a risk in the Visayas because of typhoon. Positive side, you can get a loan from the Dept of Agriculture 500k without collateral and No interest for 5years. You must be 20-30years old. For tissue culture seedlings you have to contact ahead for 3-4months, so we can prepare the seedlings. I will be more than interested to accept orders for tissue culture seedlings of banana. We can negotiate prices.
