I've been playing Smith-Morra against the Sicilian for almost 15 years. My win-loss rate is very high (at my level, which is around 1800) and whether I win or lose, the games are always dynamic. One of the characteristics of the opening is that when I play it correctly, the game ends before black has moved either of his rooks! There are multiple opportunities for scary-looking sacs, which work out more often than not. One of the nicest is when black has a pawn on e6, black's king is uncastled, and white's queen is on e2, an attack beginning with Nd5 looks like a useless sac but usually isn't. PS: the first game in this video is identical to two games that I've played. Black responding e5 - d6 - h6 is a common response, and leads to quick disaster.
the fun part is when they take the gambits, I have an opponent that almost never take because of the traps. so it would be fun also to develop something out of it.
Well, although God created all the living beings but he gave Adam the full authority to name all of his creations. So yeah, that might the same case. That is, if you believe in God. Sorry if don't have direct answer but i think you will get through this comparison

The moves ...a6, ...d6, and finally ...Nf6 take care of the morra. Nothing else to see. Next!

Superb lecture!! Always loved the Smith-Morra! Makes for very dynamic chess; but certainly helps to know the Alapin lines. Thank you!

VERY VERY GOOD TUTORIAL!!
I play along with stockfish playing black. Stockfisf avoids whites attack by o-o. Then continues with the extra pawn.
GREAT TRUE STUFF AS ALWAYS !!!!!!!!!
Well sir I love this gambit I don't always paly it right but when I do boom 💥 it's like the 4th July
Problem is whenever I play this gambit, my opponent never commits to taking both pawns.

Recapture with the bishop then play c4. White has a very high win rate from there. Maroczy bind type of game.
very very good lecturer. tnks!
Nice opening, sir.. 👍👍
very good opening
Bb5+, ab, qxb5+, Kf8, na4! Is crushing. Black has to play rxA4 but after Qxa4 white is winning.
How come sir there is a name attached as to who invented the gambit and not the one who invented chess🤔!

Note om
Sure he’s a grandmaster. But I’m afraid his monotone voice is better suited to sleeping aid apps. I want Igor.
